Samsung Repair guy told me to buy a Kenmore

When the Samsung repair guy tells you to buy a Kenmore... I intentionally bought a high capacity washer to clean bedspreads, dog blankets, bath mats, and other bulky items that won’t fit in the agitator top-loader I had. From the very first wash, I was tremendously disappointed—actually, totally disgusted—by what this machine did to my laundry. Large items like bedspreads don’t even get fully wet; after a full cycle, huge sections of my queen-sized comforter are completely dry, and obviously still dirty. Towels used to wipe the dogs’ paws come out with large chunks of dirt and hair throughout, and leave behind equally large chunks in the drum. If I don’t wipe it after every use, the next load of laundry comes out dirtier than when it went in. I find myself running a medium-sized load of clothing through Heavy Duty three times to get it to resemble clean…so much for energy and water efficiency. Two different repair guys came out in the first three months and told me there is nothing wrong with the washer. The second guy told me that I should take soiled and bulky items to the laundromat every week—really? Why did I buy a washer if I need to go to the laundromat? Oh, and the activewash sink used for pre-treating or hand-washing items might fit a pair of socks, or underwear, but you can forget about anything larger—it’s too shallow to keep the item and the water in the sink. And like others have said, wear a helmet if you’re reaching in to the drum, or you’ll get a concussion from the sink. Finally, Samsung service is incomparably bad. It took over 30 calls for me to get the two repair guys out to me.

I chose this washer to replace a Whirlpool front loader that wouldn't spin anymore. I wish I'd have kept looking. My dark clothes come out of the washer looking like they were washed with white towels. I just did a load with a twin size sheet, 3 beach towels, 2 hand towels, 1 shirt and my son's soccer uniform. The sheet, shirt and uniform have to be washed again due to dirt streaks that weren't on them before they went into the wash. The soccer shirt looks like a herd of cats were fighting over it. Every time I take it out of the washer it has more snags. I washed a twin size blanket that had areas that were still dry at the end of the cycle. It feels like I have to clean out the washing machine every day. It's absolute garbage and, honestly, the first time I've EVER been disappointed in a Samsung product...and over the years we've owned all kinds of electronics and phones and even an microwave. I wish I could go back to last November and buy something else! It's too much money to spend on something that isn't going to clean your clothes! I don't normally leave reviews...especially bad ones...but this washer is a huge disappointment.

Don’t buy this product, after 3 months of usage the top basin fell off, called samsung customer service got the worst experience ever, then after 6 months the top cover cracked and started to fall apart and call customer service again and have a nightmare. They said its a physical defect. I asked them ehat a physical defect means and they can even say it. Save your self with trouble, dont buy this product. Remember the top cover is made of plastic and it cannit stand the heat of washing so it carkes easily. Only have one servuce company in washington area. HNG appliancewhuch ever made it worst. After 6 months I ready to give this product away. Save your money and time. DON’T BUY SAMSUNG PRODUCT. THEY recalled some washer already and even their cellphone are recalled and not allowed in the plane. Dont buy this washer.

    Bad design that collects mold/gunk

The pulsator at the bottom of the tub collects gunk that is impossible to remove due to the two-piece design of the part. There is a white plastic frame under the stainless agitator, and gunk collects in the space between these pieces, with no way to properly clean or remove this nasty stuff! I've had this unit for 18 months (performing self-cleaning regularly) and have had to disassemble to clean the interior twice. Samsung has sent a tech to replace the pulsator, but the replacement part has the same issue. Unfortunately I will be looking to purchase a different unit to replace this piece of garbage.

Purchased the Samsung washer with steam in August and it started having issues in October. It would lock up and become non-functional, but then start working again for no apparent reason until it finally stopped working for good in November and needed repair. We called Samsung service and were told the service center would be out in 3 days, but they called and postponed the service appointment for another 3 days. Two hours before the rescheduled appointment, the service center calls to postpone again, saying they won’t be able to come for another 5 days. I’m not sure how Samsung can justify allowing customers to be without a major appliance for almost 2 weeks. The washer did a great job of cleaning our clothes (when it actually worked), but I cannot recommend it due to Samsung’s horrendous service.

We have this washing machine for just over three months. We bought it from Best Buy, With just normal regular use, the hinge on the lid broke and the tub used for pre washing separated from the lid and the plastic parts broke in many pieces. We called Samsung Care and they said that they can fix this under the warranty. They sent a technician and replaced it, but after that wanted to charge us $250 for the replacement. In principle we declined to pay as we thought that this is a manufacturing flaw. The technician then removed the replacement part and and placed the broken part back and left. We called Samsung Care, but this time they changed their tune and said that we do need to pay $250 for a washing machine that cost $600, I hope Samsung is monitoring this and we're hopeless in finding resolution to this.

I purchased this washer and dryer set excited about not having the agitator. 1.Well if I have more than two pairs of pants/ Jeans/leggings/long sleeve shirts they twist and tangle together. 2.It doesn’t fill with enough water. I know it’s supposed to measure it out by the weight of clothes but it’s still not enough. 3.Sometimes I have to rewash clothes because they still smell dirty. 4.Forget washing a comforter it can’t move to wash correctly. 5.My sister and I were complaining about our washers and how we have to trick it to adding more water and found out we have the same one!! So save your money!

Do not buy. Control relay for water inlet valve went out at the 5 month market. Wife had purchased GeekSquad protection (I admittedly never do the protection plans), so seemed all would be good. Nope. Particular defect flagged by manufacturer, so had to rely on approved repair service. 3 days after initial call to Samsung, repair guy finally came out. Sorry, have to order a part. Gonna be another 4-5 days. Clearly this is a known issue and likely should have led to a recall. Furthermore, authorized service dealer clearly aware of the problem & should have been prepared to repair same day. And finally, GeekSquad protection essentially worthless and clearly a waste of money. Just a horrible experience all around.

So far not so good with ur code

Had the washer installed this past Thursday. I just replaced my old style top loader with agitator. My old machine was like 30 yrs old. Was so looking forward to this machine. I use to place items into washer and walk away. Was told tbis washer was tbe same way since its heavy duty. It took almost 7 hrs to finish up 1 load of laundry. I placed 8 bath sized towels and a kids sleeping sleeping bag in tbe machine. Walked away after starting a normal wash. I kept getting a UR code on machine, thinking it would clear. The machine kept filling up with water then draining water. I had to eventually pull almost every towel out before I could get it to spin and drain items. Also had to rebalance machine many times before it finished. Debating on returning if this happens again What a headache

Unable to balance machine. Only 3 of the 4 feet are adjustable and of course the one we need to adjust doesn't. We had to put something under the back left foot and then level the other legs to it but the grinding rubber sound never stopped even though it was completely level. If the load is unable to balance out so the machine can spin it has a feature that fills the tub back up with water to self level and then attempt to spin again. Well.... I noticed that it had been 3 hours and the load of towels was still washing. Draining, filling, draining, filling. Needless to say I am returning the washer and going back to a front loader. Totally bummed this didn't work out.

    Washing machine has CONSTANT errors

Our last Samsung washer was recalled, thankfully because we would get error codes and troubleshooting wouldn't fix, could only finish wash cycle by pour in buckets of water manually. Now the replacement, a new model, not the same, which we've had under a year, has had THE SAME ERROR CODES. And now some new ones!! AND now the moisture is leaking out the lid which is what the last one was recalled for, the SAME things are happening. Contacting Samsung help has been useless, they just tell me what the error codes means which I already know! Do NOT buy a samsung washer!!

I have had two Samsung Washers. The first got recalled and I replaced with a second which less than a year later broke and was determined to be unrepairable due to a broken clutch gear which is made of plastic. This gear is what moves the drum and takes all the stress during washing and they make it out of plastic. According to the repair people this gear is what is used on Samsung washers. Buyer beware. Check out consumer reports before you by Samsung and you will see the poor repair record. I am getting my money back and am never buying another Samsung product in my life.

I just spent over 4 hours trying to complete 2 wash loads with this awful designed machine! You would think a high capacity washer with Bedding and waterproof cycles was designed to manage unbalanced loads. But not this one! My previous Maytag managed to wash the same things for 9 years and only became unbalanced needing rescue twice. This machine tripled that in one day with 2 loads. Needed constant management and each time you open the machine to adjust it adds 20 more mintes to the cycle! Just an awful design! Dont buy this machine!! laundry nightmare!

Unsafe, Too deep to retrieve laundered clothes

I have never been unhappy with Samsung products until now! When I examined and tried the floor model, I was able to reach the bottom of the barrel to retrieve the clothes. However, when I started using the washer, half of my body was inside the barrel pinching on my tummy and my head inside the barrel, which is unsafe and unhealthy. I tried to return and exchange but Best Buy didn't allow it.

A little over 1 year old and the computer in my washer is malfunctioning. The machine programs as normal you push the button and nothing! I went online and this seems to happen often. Luckily I have an extended warranty! Or I would be out of luck! I'm single and only do laundry for one person. This is the first washer I've ever had that broke like this! FYI be ware that bestbuy is providing warranties through another company if you have Pacific sales in your bestbuy! I'm not happy about this either.

This is the worst design of a washing machine I have ever bought! If I could return it I would! Too deep, I cannot reach laundry to get out once cycle finished. The plastic rinse bowl gets in the way when putting detergent in and when climbing nearly into the washer to get laundry. I bought a footstool so I can reach laundry still terrible!

Horrible washer. Broke down in the first 60days. Had repair people out twice. Takes 2+ hours to do one load of laundry. Definitely not energy efficient. Stick with Samsung phones or TVs....NOT washers or dryers.
