I have a preference for Samsung products to begin with, I have never had many problems with them and if I ever had, they have been dealt with it in an easy, fast, and complete manner. My experience with other manufacturers have been headaches more-so than not. So far, this washer has been very good to me, I like how many options it has, like the steam sanitize option and the active wash. I like being able to spot clean cloths right inside the top bowl and then drop them right into the wash. The only downside of this washer is that the washer tube is so big and I am kind of short (5' 2"), it can be difficult to reach the smaller items from the bottom of the tube after washing. I found using a step stool helps. It probably looks quite comical to see me over half inside the washer trying to get the clothes out. But on the flip side, it can handle my large winter blankets! No more laundry mat visits to wash them because they didn't fit in my old washer... I have only had this washer a couple months, so if in the near future i encounter issues with it i will definitely update this post.

My wife and I are very pleased with this washer. We went from an older standard washer with center agitator to this. I was always skeptical of HE washers (espectially top loading) because I always wondered how clothes could get clean without having all of the clothes submerged in the water. However, we are very happy with how well this washer works. The ONLY problem that I found with it was the fact that it doesnt have the old self adjusting feet. The back left foot is NOT adjustable. The problem with this is if you are installing this washer in a basement with an uneven floor, you better hope that the back left corner isnt the low side. Unfortunately, my floor happens to slow back and to the left. I had to place wooden boards under the foot to raise it enough to level the washer. Perhaps if you are planning on purchasing this washer and the left rear is low in your basement, spend the extra money for intstallation so you dont have to mess with it at all. You could also install this on a riser that you have already leveled. If not for the major pain that it was to level the washer, I would give 5 stars.

I really wanted this washing machine. I hand wash and pre-treat all the time and since I don't have a sink in my laundry room this ends up happening in the bathroom sink. I was very excited about the pre treating basin with scrubbing ridges to help get out stains. But beware, this washing machine is TALL. I am 5'6" which is average, if not a little taller for a female and I find myself on my tip toes to get the clothes at the bottom of the basin. Also, I found that I use the pretreat basin less than I expected. Partially because if you don't get ALL the water drained into the main machine before you start a cycle, then when you go to get your clean clothes, you might drip some old water in there. Also, there is no way (that I have found) to use the basin without doing a load... so it doesn't help me "hand wash" clothes, just pre treat stains.

      Samsung

Hello lisa! Thank you for the great review. I am glad you enjoy your new Samsung washer overall, but I want to help you love everything about it! You can find some great cycle information in your user manual, beginning on page 32. In addition, this link: https://bit.ly/2ORX332 will take you to a cycles and features glossary. Thanks for choosing to be a part of Samsung. You are appreciated! ^Mae Samsung

This mchine is nice and very very quiet. Big drum, you can wash lots of cloth at a time. Lot of options for different cycles. When I bought it, my concern was rpm during spinning cycle. This machine runs at almost 800 rpm during spinning cycle which is less compare to other brands which has 1200 or 1300 rpm. But your clothes gets almost dried which saves electric bill for my heater. This is very efficient machine which saves water and electricity and clean your clothes very good. We are happy with the machine. Right now I am giving 4 stars to it, if it will remain same after a year then I will change it to 5 stars.

Great Washing Machine with a handy "gadget"

I bought this washing machine to replace our Samsung "exploding" washing machine, as part of the recall deal with Samsung. The washing machine works perfectly, it has way more programs and settings than I will ever use. The addition of the sink is a handy yet slightly frivolous bonus. Instead of soaking clothes elsewhere and rushing them to the washing machine dripping water all over the floor you can just sit the stained clothes in the handy sink and you're good to go when you want to actually start the wash cycle. It a nice washing machine with a $200 (at time of purchase) sink built in. I hardly ever use the sink, but my wife swears by it. Ask yourself, do you want to pay $200 for the convenience of built in sink?

Purchased due to 2 year old washer being part of the Samsung topload "exploding" recall. Have had this new washer only 2 months so I cannot speak to long-term use. PROS: The capacity is very large. The fins on the "agitator" coupled with the water jet and ribbed drum seem to do a good job cleaning. CONS: the pump that drains water before/during spin cycle is very loud - could be an issue depending on location of laundry room. Cycles take about 20 minutes longer on average than recalled washer. I could see how shorter people have a hard time reaching the bottom of the drum to unload clothes.

Has not yet exploded. Bonus points for that. We got this washer as a replacement for the recalled exploding washers from Samsung in 2017. So far this its working really well. It seems more solid and well built. As for the "sink" feature, it works as advertised but we really haven't had need to use it much. It seems like a good idea, and in an clothes washing emergency, having access to water where you normally wouldn't is very useful. Your mileage may vary on the value of the sink. For us, we could have lived without it. All in all, its pretty decent, clothes are always clean. not sure you can ask for more.

It's an incredible unit. The scrub tub makes it real easy to pre-wash stains without getting everything messy. The washer has a very high capacity and it cleans clothes really well. Plenty of settings and cycles to choose from too. However, I live alone and have realized even the quick wash takes at least an hour to run with a minimal amount of clothes in the washer. I could wash two loads I With my old washer in the Time it takes this new washer to run one.

I really like it so far. However, since I haven't tried all the "bells and whistles", I'm only giving it four stars for now. The tub is huge, so if handling large loads is what you need, this one fits the bill. My only difficulty is the depth. Being only just over 5' means I have to use a step stool to reach the bottom. I did read others' reviews to this effect, but I really didn't expect it to be as hard to reach the clothes on the bottom as it is. No big deal, really. We short people are used to these challenges. I love the hand wash tub feature.

Nice looking next to the matching dryer. I have only used the basic features, but might use the basket on one of these days. The basic function is easy to use on the control panel, but I'll have to study the thick manual if I'm ever to use the multitude of special features Warning, tall machine with deep basket. Had to get my petite wife a step stool to reach the bottom for the last socks, I'm 5'10" and I can just reach the bottom of that nice big wash basket!

I bought this model over the prior one due to my dislike of LED touch panels and I don't regret it. The only thing that I'd be careful of is to not load in something that could potentially become heavy with the addition of water. I put my thinnest blanket in to wash, but I guess the material just liked absorbing water a little too much that it knocked the barrel off by a small margin.

We are very satisfied with our new Samsung washer. The larger capacity was something we wanted for bedding and larger loads. This washer enables us to combine loads and save water and detergent. Our only problem is we are in a rural area with well water so we frequently had to clean the inlet filters. A cartridge filter on the cold inlet solved this problem, which was not a fault of the washer.

I replaced an LG front loading model that was 13 years old with the Samsung top loading model. First off, the capacity of the Samsung is far greater than the LG model however, clothes don't get as clean with the Samsung as they did with the front loading LG. I don't believe it's an indictment on the Samsung more so that a simple fact that front loading washers provide superior cleaning capabilities. The Samsung is good for what it is and several hundred dollars less expensive than a front loading machine.

Purchased this washer after my Samsung front load washer died. It is HUGE in the inside. I can put so many clothes, towels, etc in! Love its capacity!!! It's great if you have a larger family. I do have to stand on my tippy toes to get the clothes out and I'm an average height. I love the pre-soak feature. Also love all the options and even the "my cycle" option I can set. It does an amazing job with washing clothes, bedding etc! I do happy with this purchase! I'll never buy a front load washer again!

I got this because it was the best price and value when I was shopping. I probably would have been just as happy with a lower featured model. The presoak washtub, while a nice feature every so often, gets in the way. The tub is so deep that you constantly bump your head on the presoak tub when removing cleaned laundry. Seems to clean laundry well. Haven't figured out how to adjust wash cycles yet as some times you can and then you cant! So not the most intuitive interface.

So i got this unit to replace its older model, which is currently under recall due to blowing its lid off!! If you have one of the older units, go to Samsung's site and see if you quality. So far, seems like a good unit, slightly bigger than the old outgoing one i had. Time will tell though. One slight negative is this thing is DEEP; Im 6'1 and can barely grab stuff off the bottom on my tippy toes.

The washer is great. Tons of functions and comes with the sink. However, best buy delivery is terrible. If you need your appliance quick the pick it up from the store. It took me 4 attempts and almost a month just to get the right non damaged item. This item gets 4 star's. Best buy deliver would be lucky to get half a star after the ordeal I endured just to get it. I recommend this product to anyone, just buy it from a company with a delivery services that is competent

This washing machine is massive. I had to get a stool so my wife could reach the bottom. However, we have a big family with multiple daily activities. We can do all our laundry in 3 or 4 cycles separating the clothes in white, darks, lights, towels. We could probably do it in 2 loads if we combined things. 4 Stars because the top locks so you can't throw things in mid-cycle which is why I went with a top loader.

First off, I love this washer. You have so many different options, from washing large loads, because of the size of the washer and the different cycles you can choose from. I like the little song it Plays at the end to let you know the load is complete. Only 4 stars for now because I’ve only had it for a month, so still testing everything out. But so far so good.

I love this washer. I'd give it 5 stars, but my need for a stool in order to reach the items at the bottom of the barrel results in 4 stars. I'm 5'-2". If you're older, or height-challenged like me, you may want to consider another machine. I love the soaking basin. I've used it several times to presoak stained items of clothing.
