With the Eco Dry activated, drying takes a longer time but power consumption is reduced. This function is available with Normal and Time Dry.
Please see page 47 under the "Eco Dry" section of the manual for more details.

As soon as I throw in the load it automatically senses everything and determines how the clothes need to be dried. I can also manually input my choice as well.
