Excellent upgrade form the S4 keyboard cover

What a difference a generation makes! This new keyboard case gives you some space between the keys and the screen so you don't have as many accidental screen touches. Samsung has also added Fn keys, a touch pad on/off key, a Dex on/off shortcut, and a touch pad. Still not lighted, which I hope to see in the next iteration. The back cover "sticks" onto the back of the tablet, apparently with a combination of magnets and a tacky touch point. I suppose this tacky strip might get dirty over time, so we'll see how that works out. I like that I can detach the tablet form the keyboard while keeping the back cover in place. Keys are responsive and with enough feedback. Key spacing so good too. Another great new feature is the S-pen storage cover. You store the s-pen on the back of the tablet (where it charges up), and a flip cover on the rear case covers the pen securely. Wonderful innovation that leaves other tablet makers in the dust.

Samsung DeX was better than I thought it would be. I was able to put all my school apps in one folder. The cover is perfect. It fits, it doesnt slide off my hands and its light too.

Everything works as it should. It's smallish, so it might not be comfortable for bigger hands. The cover portion has issues with staying on, because the included 2 sided tape doesn't hold longer than a month. Using my own 2 sided tape made that a non issue. The only other negative is, the S6 is a decently heavy tablet and this cover doesn't have anything for comfort or ease of handling. With this cover and keyboard, it'll never be comfortable for long periods of use, anywhere but on a desk. It does do a good job of keeping the tablet protected, though you'll still want a screen protector and that's not included.

I have a Samsung Note 9 phone and this is really just a larger more powerful version. it does everything I need and want it to do just like my phone does but with a larger screen and a keyboard. I am not a huge fan of the factory samsung keyboard that I bought but mostly thats due to my sausage fingers and clumsy hands. for me its a little small but it feels great. it tracks well and the pen is outstanding for the drawing that i do. I feel like the pen tracks just a little slow but as long as I plan out what i want it works fine. I am not a massive fan of the gestures for control with the pen and so far havent spent the time to see if I can turn them off because i dont think about it until it gets really annoying but by then I am almost done and just grin and bear it until I can put it down. Its crystal clear screen and great cameras allow me to use telehealth for doctor visits and not lose whats going on. the bluetooth is responsive and my headset connects almost instantly. its fast and doesnt seem to get overloaded with a few apps running at the same time when I am using Dex which is pretty cool. it allows me to have control of my music etc.. when I am working on office and thats great. I have had it for a couple of months now and I love this thing!!

This is the second time I purchased this keyboard after reading some reviews. Do not bother with the directions on the package, the time to thoroughly bond is much longer than the 1-2 hours it claims. Upon reading advice, I went for the 2-day mark and I have not had any issues. It is nice that the keyboard is removable, but it is also a weakness. I have tried flipping it back out of the way and the magnet does not really seem strong enough to want to stay in that position. Functionality is good and this is probably the best option if you want a keyboard for this device. Though it is a bit overpriced.

I read some poor reviews on how this keyboard attached, but I personally have had no problems at all in the 6 months I've had it. I don't leave it on all the time and keep it and the tablet in a soft foam zippered case for transport and it's fine. I really like the feel of the keyboard too. My only negative is that it's way overpriced, so look for a sale.

I have been using the keyboard cover periodically now for about half a year. I am impressed with the ease of use for such a relatively compact device. While it's true the keys could be a little bigger to make it easier to type, given the landscape they had to work with, they did a great job. Quality seems high too, so far. No real complaints.

Works fine so far, but its design is something that could have been done better. Instead of just using strong magnets to hold the case to the tablet, there are some weaker magnets and then a suction type adhesive on the back portion of the case. Its holding great for me so far, but several reviewers have mentioned that the adhesive loses its stickiness eventually and the case back slips off the tablet when using the kickstand. I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung ends up recalling this case and redoing it.

Let me start out by saying I went from the first gen Tab S to this. So in every almost everypossible way it was an improvement. I say almost because one of the first issues I had was with how the type cover attached to the device. With the original Tab S it used these built in magnetic recesses. Very secure and with a satisfying click when attaching compatible accessories. The Tab S6 used adhesive and lackluster magnets. So what does that tell you, well it's not meant to be taken on or off. Mind you this shouldn't be a dig at the tablet itself but remember the original Tab S had a mechanical system for attaching accessories, the 6 does not. Though I don't think any after the original Tab did. Second issue was the S pen attached by magnet. While seemingly secure, it would have been nice for the pen to dock inside the tablet itself. The pen chages wirelessly from the tablet while magnetically attached so not a dealbreaker, but it would have been preferred to not just, you know be slapped on. Finally the price. Whoooo boy. It's a premium product with all the bells and whistles you can think to have on an Android device. But it's hard to recommend this product to anyone other than diehard Samsung fans. Even then, at this price point you can easily get a very capable 2 in 1 Windows laptop or Microsoft Surface. In some cases for less. Samsung Dex is nice. And well executed with a windows-like presentation. couple that with Microsoft office and many other big ticket productivity apps/program available as well, you still realize it's no replacement for Windows and that bitter memory of the price shows up in your mind again. It's hard to justify this device existing at this price point when so many Windows based products do a better job at a lower price. TLDR; Even a faithful Samsung user cannot justify this purchase due to price and being outshined by cheaper Windows based alternatives.

I love this keyboard for my new tablet. It is a bit pricey but it is totally worth it. the fact that you can detach the tablet from the keyboard without removing the whole case is my favorite part. The keyboard works well and is comfortable. It is easy to type on. I will get much more use out of my tablet because of this.

Samsung Keyboard, I fixed the not sticking problem

I recently purchased the Galaxy Tab S6 and wanted to make it more of a productive machine by buying the Samsung Keyboard cover. Despite being small, the keystroke ease is not bad. It took just a short while to get used to the smaller, closer spaced keys and now I'm typing without issue. I really appreciate the built in trackpad for maneuvering around the screen. The only issue I've had is that the keyboard cover does not stick very well the tablet. It has a sticky rectangular square that is supposed to adhere to the back of the tablet, which is does, but not for very long. I will be using the tablet and suddently the tablet will collapse on whatever surface I have it on. I have cleaned the back of the tablet and the rectangular square, left it "sticking" for at least an hour before using it, and it will invariably unstick and fall over. I went online to Samsung's community forum and to a Reddit forum regarding this issue. There are several complaints regarding this very issue with the keyboard cover. My solution, which was a suggestion from one of the forums, was to buy some strong double stick tape (I bought 3M vhb tape) and put that on the rectangular square and it seemed to have finally solved my problem It has stuck and continued to stick together. No more fear of keyboard collapsing. Oh one other note. Several people in the forum returned their keyboard to get a replacement only to find the same thing happening with the replacement keyboard. If you buy this keyboard, do yourself a favor and buy some strong double stick tape. It works.

This probably the best keyboard for a tablet I have used. The best thing is that you can control the whole tablet like you would a regular laptop. Not only that it is very accurate and it is also a very fancy cover. The downsides are obvious, not backlight on the keyboard and Android IS NOT A REPLACEMENT FOR WINDOWS OR MAC. The functionality part is what makes a keyboard even better and at this price point it should be better. But it is the best keyboard with the tablet it is a great investment if you want the best overall experience.

Automatically launched DeX for a computer experience. You can run 4 to 6 apps in pop up windows. Stylish, good quality, easy to clean (with a little DAWN) Will not give perfect protection for those who are rough. Treat your Galaxy with care.

    - love the compactness of the keyboard, allows me to do a lot with one hand when needed. - love that the track pad is in the middle, making it easy to use with both hands. - works well without too many glitches or bugs - love that you can use it under Dex or without Dex. - love that it can be easily removed (uses magnetism to stay attached). HOWEVER - wish it had more padding all around, would be better at protecting the tablet. - also, wish it would protect the sides and not just the front and back

this makes the s6 feel like a very small laptop. The keyboard is great. I was very pleasantly surprised by how well the touchpad works, though a very small one. The only issue I have with this is that it feels like it more than doubles the weight of the tablet. Also, the case attaches with a glue like something. It is NOT easy to take the table off the case. I wish it were a magnet.

Decent product, covers pen very well and the discoverable keyboard is very good. Several minor issues: 1. some common keys (e.g., esc, del) require fn combination to activate. 2. the keyboard cover tends to move and sometimes does not cover very well on the screen. It should learn from Surface pro covers.
