Great monitor, when it worked, Less than a year in, Lines started to form on the display. Called Samsung a day after 1 year pickup had passed, they honored a "one time warranty repair". Needless to say, a few days post repair, the problem came back. Now waiting on Samsung to do the right thing and either repair it or refund this purchase. Disappointed with this monitor and Samsung at the moment!

2 Months use, and I see dead pixel.

2 months of use already have dead pixel on display. At this price tag this is not expectable. The Samsung TV I bought and used as PC display has 0 dead pixels and its at least 4 years old at $300 back then. Changing source port is very primitive, 1 button to pop menu to select source and cycle through the source ports in one direction, did you pass the port you wanted because the screen was being slow? Keep pressing to cycle it through again. Samsung TV had better controls. Box is marketed as "gaming" monitor, dead pixels sticks out like a sore thumb on bright scenes.

I was running three screens for my work activities and was finding that for more complex projects, I needed something better and simpler at the same time. I had been looking at the Samsung CHG9 monitor as a replacement and finally bought one to see if it would work. I saw the on-line comments about needing enough desk space - which I have and the comments about light bleed, dead pixels and mysterious noises - none of which have I experienced. Right out of the box, this monitor has worked splendidly! There are a couple of points I would like to make: 1). You don't absolutely need 2 people to assemble and set up the monitor, but it would be easier with 2. 2). This is a $900 - $1000 monitor and I was hoping for a bit more ease-of-use in accessing and setting up the monitor. I understand about keeping costs low and not over-complicating things in the design, but the 'joy-stick-like' buttons for accessing the internal menus leave much to be desired. For this kind of money and technology, why couldn't you design this to take advantage of the computer and the keyboard it is attached to, to make the initial setup easier? How much extra would it cost to get rid of the menu configuration buttons and go with something a bit more straightforward? I am in the semiconductor industry so I know about design costs, and trade-offs. Why make the product with difficulty built-in when high-end compute resources sit within 3 feet of the monitor? 3). One very annoying quirk is the monitor trying to become the default for the sound system instead of the desktop speakers most people have? This is fixable with a couple of mouse clicks, but why do it in the first place. I seriously doubt that he monitor speakers will be better than most peoples' desktop speakers! Having said all of that, I would definitely recommend purchasing this monitor to others who need to become more efficient in their work by have a larger visual field to work with. I don't do any gaming on this system and use it only for work. One almost-issue is trying to right-size the windows and their placement on the screen. It takes a while to feel out the best arrangement of applications. For those that worry the screen is too large - especially at the periphery of their vision - you get used to this very quickly and I found that within one day it was not an issue for me. All-in-all, it is a well done monitor and worth the money if you are pulling charts, graphs, tables and text from multiple applications to put into a Word document like I do for business purposes.

49'' inches. This is a low teir model. So what your paying is brand and a ultra wide curve screen. If you want ultra wide screens for an affordable price this is for you. But for 4-6 hundred dollars more. You can get an HDR, high resolution, high refresh rate. This product isnt that great for high resolution. Its mediocre. Its in my budget so i got what i paid for and im happy with it. Side note if you want to mount it on a wall or desk stand. Make sure your joints is strong enough to hold it. This monitor is really really heavy, and i mean really heavy.

I absolutely love this monitor. You do have to make sure your computer can push this thing or else don't get it. this thing truly takes up my entire desk from side to side. I can run my games with no issues and actually feels like my vision is less tired. with the curve it feels more immersive when I play. wide enough to run 3 windows at the same time with no issues. super clear and fast response time. I got it on sale so for me it was a no brainer considering that other options older or less equivalent run over 1k price tags. for the money this thing was a great buy.

This ultrawide monitor is huge, equivalent to 2 of 27 inch monitor side by side (I believe). This monitor is good for gaming with 144hz refresh rate, 1ms response time. However, it is not good for photo editing or long office work work since vertical is low at 1080. Anyway, I use this monitor mostly for gaming so I am very happy with it.

This monitor has a lot of real estate, lol. However, and maybe because it is about 3 years old, the 1080P for this size of ‘49” monitor it doesn’t do too much justice for gaming. Yes it has a great refresh rate, (144Hz) and the response time is 1 ms compared to most gaming monitors, but the resolution of 3840 by 1080P For a monitor this size it simply leaves too little to be desired for gaming. For my accounting business, it is great because I can just fill a simple spreadsheet all across, but again the pixel density for this size of monitor is small again compared to competitive monitors out there. Also this monitor is HEAVY, and you may need two people and have enough space on your desk to place this behemoth of a monitor. I really love Samsung products, but on this one it didn’t have the “ WOW “ facto for me. Also for this price you could go with a 34” and at least you could get a 1440 resolution or higher. Trust me you will notice the difference in resolution.

I am not huge gaming person but do play Fifa so it is perfect for that and can work and play games at the same time with PBP mode. For work I can have like 6-8 things up at one time to multi-task and get more work done with less work. I would recommend this to anyone. Only thing need to buy speakers for sound. Not pricey to do but wished it came with in the monitor set up. Few of my co-workers are buying this screen for work and gaming now!
