Saving documents and navigating the Google interface is a bit strange if you've been a Microsoft user. Some of the apps are limiting: Facebook Messaging lags, clearing too many notifications at once has made the Chromebook crash, too many tabs is an instant freeze to the account --- but overall would recommend for the average user. If you're looking for a device to run several programs, I would not recommend. But if you're looking for something sleek, simple, and fit for the road - heck yes!

The Samsung Chromebook plus was a great purchase. I read many reviews and did research before I finally decided to purchase. I'm happy with my decision. It has a great display and love its sleek appearance. It"s fast and has a good battery life, about 10 hours with what I do. Love that it can also be used in tablet mode.

I've been anticipating the release of this device since it was announced a ways back. I have to say, I'm more than impressed. The device itself is beautiful, thin, and sleek. It has a quality build and feels much more well made than other Chromebooks I have used in the past. The display is phenomenal; it's easily the most clear screen I've ever had on any tablet or computer. If you doubt the resolution, go see it in person. It's gorgeous. The aspect ratio is weird for a Chromebook, but after getting used to it I definitely see it's appeal. The processor is quick and I haven't had any issues with lag, even running a large amount of tabs at once. The boot time is mere seconds. My favorite part about this device is the ability to run full Android apps. This is the first Chromebook to have that support and I'm already wondering why it wasn't done sooner. Although some people have been complaining about the keyboard being "cramped", I feel it is very naturally shaped and fits my hands well. The feedback on the keys is very responsive and a huge upgrade from my Windows Surface this is replacing. It is very similar to the feeling of a regular laptop. My only complaint is the lack of a back-lit keyboard, but the rest of the features easily make up for it. Overall, this Chromebook is AMAZING and well worth the price.

I contemplated several options when searching for a computer that would be lightweight, portable, and withstand graduate school use. Apple was at the top of my list until I spoke to my pharmacist friend (She has 2 in college who had MacBook's) who had big reviews of the chromebook. This has been the best computer purchase I have ever made! The features such as internal antivirus and the ability for it to continually update itself makes is something that I am very grateful for. Nothing is more frustrating for me than buying something and then 6 months or more down the road it needs updating or is obsolete. I write a lot of papers for school and having Google Docs has been great. I did not have to buy extra software such as Microsoft Office to install on my Chromebook. All of this added in with a price that won't break your wallet is pretty Epic!

I was torn b/w this and the newest ASUS flip, but this went on sale, so I tried it. I was concerned about the lesser chip in this vs the Pro, but it has handled my usage (mostly surfing, streaming and some documents) just fine. I haven't used the stylus yet, but I consider it a bonus that may come in handy. I love the ability to utilize different screen positions. I was used to the wider screen ratio, but this one hasn't bothered me much (and is ideal for tablet mode...touch screen is very responsive).

So far, this is a great addition to the family of gadgets! Great for couch surfing w/ the ability to do 360 degree folding. I'm not sure yet how useful the ability to run Android apps will be, as they seem to run in mobile format. Perhaps when the developers catch up and have the apps format to a desktop resolution it will be more useful, but still it's nice to have access to them if you want! Screen is really nice, and device has a nice feel to it. Battery is good, although the device doesn't handle sleep very well with preserving battery when not in use. Would probably be better if I actually shut it down instead of just closing the screen :)

After much deliberation between a laptop or an IPad, I stumbled into a SAMSUNG Chrome Book. I investigated what it could do and after reading numerous reviews, I discovered that it was an amazing device. If you're looking to surf the web, it's fast and efficient. For me, the simplicity was key. It's super easy to use and doesn't come with all the extra "bloat" that some other products cram down your throat.

This is my first foray into Chromebooks, and it has been a great one. The Samsung Chromebook Plus has been flexible and capable, easily tackling what I do most everyday - web surfing, checking email, reading, watching videos, etc. I've tried the pen in Evernote, and it seems responsive enough. Touch screen is great - didn't think I would use it as much as I do. The screen flips around without much effort, but isn't loose where it would not hold its position. As you've read elsewhere, with the smaller keyboard, you do end up hitting the '=' key a lot as you reach for the backspace, but it gets better after more use. Light weight, but probably not something you will read from in bed, but comfortable from a chair. I'm enjoying using this.

I bought this one because I wanted the touch screen option as well as the android experience. The display is GORGEOUS! It also comes with a pen that fits into the right upper side of the machine. Also has a micro card slot for extra storage if needed. Sound is very good as well as the keyboard. I found this Chromebook to be a VERY good buy and loved it so much I bought my best friend one too!

This laptop is exactly what I was looking for! All I wanted was a smaller laptop with a decent sized screen that would be easy to travel with. Now, I really only use a laptop to write stories, watch movies and go online for Facebook and stuff like that. This laptop is perfect for me! The only things that would make it better is if it had a backlight on the keyboard and if it had a caps lock on it. It took me a minute to get used to not hitting caps. It runs very nicely. The battery is great. And I love that there's a charging port on both sides of the laptop. It's touchscreen 2 in 1 and I LOVE that. Overall for the price it is GREAT!

although I usually read reviews before purchasing, bought this spontaneously b/c it looked good and got a good buy on a open-box item. So far, very happy. Gives the android apps of my old tablet but with a good keyboard and I like that I can expand memory with both a SD card and USB drive. It looks like Google keeps expanding the capability of the Chromebook devices which will make this even more useful in the future. Initially, my college age son was not too impressed with it and was trying to convince me to trade it for a Amazon tablet. However, after using it a few times while home on break, he himself was quite happy with it ---which he admitted grudgingly :)

If you're looking for something simple, lightning fast, and straight to the point, this computer is the best. I use it for paying bills, Netflix, and music. Everything works perfect on this computer with no frustrating lag times. The ONLY thing that keeps me from giving a 5-star review are the speakers. I have high standards for my speakers so, while the speakers are perfectly effective for listening to movies and Youtube, I want truly loud speakers. But like I said, my standards are high for speakers. Other than that, this computer is the best purchase I've ever made.

I wanted a laptop because I felt I was missing out on something when mine broke about a year ago. But w/my smart phone, I didn't really "need" a new one. Well I was definitely missing out. My chrome book works both ways. (Not a phone, but it can be) I am able to create spread sheets or documents, or even collages & I can actually SEE what they look like. And it's at least as easy as the smart phone. Probably easier. Way lighter then a laptop!! I am still learning it, but MAJOR thumbs up for what I've seen or done so far.

This chromebook is great! It does everything I want and need it to. I have been an android/ chrome os user for awhile now and this chromebook ties everything together nicely. Of course some apps still need some work at functioning better on chrome but this is an excellent start! The screen is the reason I picked this over the asus c302 flip. Display is great! Also I got it on sale 349!! Definately an awesome purchase.

It it nice, but it is not a "full computer". It is great for a student, or someone that only surfs the Internet. The screen in brilliant, but know what you are buying. The laptop is a steal if you can get it for under $300.

Great device, took 2 months of research to make my final choose, and I was blessed with the right choose. I use my cloud based app for pics and files which saves tons of gb on your internal memory, plus I placed a sd card for more external mem. The RAM is nice also on this beast with mult apps open at once. I use the Microsoft office web based cloud, that gives me full access to Microsoft products for free. Plus you can down load and use all the Adobe apps to give you full functions for editing and creating photos, web pages, and files. Get it, I got it for 419 on sale about two months ago, now since the Pro came out you can get it for around 370 on amazon i think. But I would spend 500 for this instead of 1500 for a Mac, you get more for 500 than what you would get for 1500.

My laptop was old, bulky, and slow. I wanted something that was sleeker and easier to travel with. I don't need much processing power, just something a little more substantial than a tablet that will give me a reliable internet connection (the keyboard is a huge plus). This Chromebook has been perfect! No complaints -- it works great, whether I've got it folded up as a tablet, or opened as a laptop. Definitely recommend it!

Exactly what I was looking for... I am truly enjoying using this device. I have a Note Pro 12.2 and a Toshiba Chromebook I will be replacing with this device (for the most part). I can not believe how much I like having the Android apps in this format. Almost all of them work well. I have installed Keep, Squid (works good in landscape, but not in portrait), Evernote, Newton Mail, Google Calendar, Photos, and many more. The advantage of Android apps over web apps is there connection with one another, and it's much easier if you use multiple Google accounts (I manage 7). As far as the hardware goes, it is a very nice device to use. The screen is beautiful and I really like the 3:2 ratio. I was going to wait for the Pro version coming out in April, but I couldn't. The Plus seems to be plenty fast for what I use it for. The stylus works well, similar to Samsung's Note series of devices and the Wacom pen I have works on it also. It will work great for signing documents, writing quick notes, annotating photos, etc. If you are planning to do a lot of art it may not be the best device, not because of the pen, but the usability as a tablet. The only thing I would say is if you are looking for a tablet, get a tablet. It is probably not the most practical use for this device on a regular basis, But as a Chromebook with Android apps and the other extras it is awesome. I really think I will get a lot of use out of it for business and pleasure.
