After a several horrible delivery attempts. When my refrigerator was finally installed, it was broken. The touch screen would not work. Then the nightmare of calling customer service and getting it repaired followed.

Samsung's black stainless steel finish is not ready for use. Sad that I paid extra for a quickly deteriorating finish.

Before I write about the magnificent Samsung Family Hub, let me mention Christian, our most excellent sales associate in Tustin California, who took care of us from beginning to end for this sale and for others on our to-buy list. He is one of the most cordial, accommodating, and intuitive appliance sales professionals we’ve encountered over decades of purchases in this department. The Tustin store is our favorite. On to the Samsung Family Hub: This is the second one we’ve purchased. When we sold our home last May, the buyer wanted us to include our three-year-old Hub, which we purchased for a custom remodel. Because the offer had been cash over asking, and we didn’t want to lose the sale (going into retirement and purchasing a semi-custom built home an hour away), we reluctantly agreed to including our Hub. Even with the faulty top shelf in the freezer, which some have already pointed out in their reviews, we had grown attached to ours. I truly mourned giving up my entire custom kitchen, which included the Hub. To alleviate the feelings of loss, we decided to buy the newest version a couple of months ago for our new build, which we moved into this week. When the new Hub arrived this past Wednesday, 12/16/2020, you would’ve thought a long-lost family member returned home—but a better version. We didn’t realize how attached we had gotten to this refrigerator! This time, however, the freezer’s top drawer had seemingly improved. The materials seemed more robust, although I can’t really verify point-by-point what the differences are. This I know: Because all our personal settings had been stored in the cloud, we can easily access what had been on Hub 1, which could’ve been lost forever had it not been for the tech to sync it all. Our Favorite Features: 1. Evenly cold in refrigerator 2. Flex drawer, which we use as a deli for cheese, yogurt and other small items 3. Deep side compartments 4. Top shelf that lifts up to allow for taller items, left side 5. Half-to-whole second shelf flexibility, right side 6. Large butter compartment The money, in our opinion is well-spent. If you’re considering splurging for a refrigerator, and you can pay cash or take advantage of Best Buy’s same-as-cash payments (in other words, don’t pay interest on your purchase), we highly recommend the Samsung Family Hub.

So many positive features on this fridge. The basic operations of keeping food cold and frozen are almost a side note. It comes with a water filter that provides not only the door water, but a constantly filled, filtered water pitcher with an infuser without taking up too much space. The Family Hub is an amazing feature that provides functional and huge entertainment value for the place where you spend the most time. It plays Pandora, it has a scratch pad for the kids to scribble, and you can see who is at your door with the Ring app plus many more apps are available. The Family Hub app allows you to see inside your fridge while shopping. The two reasons for not giving five stars is the high price and the fact that it does not qualify in Maryland for a utility company (Pepco) rebate. Maryland requires a 15% energy efficiency gain and the Samsung is rated at 10%. That was a $150 loss I was hoping to use to help pay for the refrigerator. Also be aware that the TV mirroring only works with certain Samsung models. Overall the features are awesome and I do recommend this unit.

Please do not by this Fridge, like the comment above stated all glitter & that’s it! I brought this fridge in 2019 bc I replaced my old fridge due to the ice maker going out. I should have just replaced the ice maker bc this fridge is not worth the cost. Within the 1st month it had huge dents on the freezer door that appeared out if no where. The ice Machine never works bc it’s always clogged with ice. We have to stick our hands in the ice maker to get the clogged ice out.I broke my finger trying to pull the stuck frozen ice out of the corner of the maker. I hate this fridge & that’s a strong word to use. If you are thinking about buying this cheaply made product don’t waste anymore of your eyesight bc it’s not worth a penny!

Too many service calls to Samsung 3 years in to fix the ice maker and all temperature compartments under 5 years. I’ve had compressor, dryer, 3 ice makers & metering devices replaced. Now it’s not repairable.

I’ve had this fridge for months now and I have zero complaints about it. It’s sleek and beautiful, the tablet on the front is so much fun for the kids and livens the kitchen up with music, and the interior shelving and storage is on point. 5 stars all the way! Just make sure you are okay with cleaning up fingerprints once a week or so to maintain that sleep look.

We received our fridge in July. Setup was relatively straight forward, but in order for the calendar function to work everyone in the family needs their own email address including the kids. Also it only accepts certain mail servers such as Exchange/Outlook and Gmail. Some functions we use more than others, but we mostly use the streaming music (which we paired to a bluetooth speaker), the shopping list, and the calendar. The recipes you can only store what is in the app, so we bookmarked ones we found on the web and ones we found in cookbooks I took a photo and placed it in a "recipes" folder in the photo album but either one of these workarounds do not allow you to select an item and place it in your shopping list. The shopping list app is what we use the most. Although it can be improved immensely (last item entered in is on top, no rearrangement, sorting by type (meat, dairy, etc.) it is very handy. Punch everything in while at home or have your spouse add a few things while you're at the market and you get notified on your smart phone. Bixby is fairly useless on the fridge and the novelty wore off in a week. For example, if you ask Bixby to play music it only opens up the last channel you did for Pandora. The biggest issue we have was the refrigerator stopped synching to the phones. It's not a brand issue either. I have an LG G6 and Google Pixel and my wife went from an iPhone 6s to a Galaxy S8 and the problem happened with all of them. In order to resolve the issue you need to hard reset the fridge. The data that is stored in the cloud such as your shopping lists are retrieved but you need to reconfigure your screens, reload your pictures, redo your bookmarks, etc. After some research this is a known issue. Apparently it does not happen with all of the refrigerators but Samsung has not addressed the issue as of yet. For an item that is over $3000 this needs to be resolved. I called Best Buy after hard resetting and the problem returned a few weeks later. Fortunately they simply replaced the fridge so huge kudos on their end and hopefully the problem won't occur with this replacement fridge. If it happens again with this fridge we will be looking to replace it with another model. So in summary the fridge's concept is nice, but unless the synching issue is resolved a whole heartedly recommend you get a protection package with this fridge in case it stops synching and you get frustrated by hard resetting.

Very cool and sleek fridge. The no handles gives it a different look that allows it to pop more. The smart hub is differently very entertaining with the amount of this you can do with it. Set it up with your wifi and man it does so much! Love the fridge!

Love everything about the family hub. Fridge works great. Only thing I’m disappointed in is the ice maker. We purchased the counter depth fridge and I knew the capacity would be less but we can’t even get a full cup of crushed ice out of it. The ice maker takes much longer to create new ice than our old fridge did.

I live it and my kids too..i can manage my schedule in the door tablet.and my kids play and watch videos.very nice

I just bought this fridge a few weeks ago and couldn’t be happier! The layout inside is perfect for most food/drink categories. Helps keep the fridge nice and organized. The Family Hub is unique in itself and can be personalized to your family which is very cool. I.E. photos, calendars, daily notes to a family member, music while you’re cooking in the kitchen enables a whole new experience in itself. The only downside there is if any is that the ice-maker does not hold a lot of ice. Otherwise, we are extremely happy with our purchase.

This fridge is incredibly well constructed and has all the bells and whistles you'd expect from a modern appliance. The touch screen family hub is a fantastic feature for those who are internet saavy, and like having recipes, music, and their personal stored data on demand. When it arrived, the size was impressive. After the installation I couldn't wait to play with it. I've never spent so much time with a fridge before. This fridge is wifi connected, once you set it up with the Samsung things app you can link and upload pictures, your calendar and even look inside the fridge. The "Family hub" let's you see inside without having to open the fridge. You can tag items, set expiration dates, create a shopping list and even look for recipes online. Other apps included with the "Family hub" are iHeartRadio, Spotify and even mirror your TV! You can also set the fridges temperature and run diagnostics. The digital inverter help consume less electricity. And the duo fan helps rotate the cool air to maintain the temperature inside the fridge and freezer. The fridge is well-organized and items easily viewed. The ice chips are my favorite feature as they're adorable, tiny rounded cubes for those cold tropical drinks. All around, this fridge is top notch, and state of the art, in the home appliance world today.

So far I love this fridge. My favorite features are of course the smart hub but also the auto fill water pitcher. I like having cold, filtered, fruit infused water ready anytime I want it. The Flex Zone is nice to have for beverage or larger trays of food. I also like that the screensaver automatically changes to whatever the weather is outside. The only complaint I have is that I can’t seem to sync my calendar to the fridge calendar and I don’t want to stay on hold forever trying to get help with the problem. I was really loving the idea of having family schedules all in one place but now I need to set aside and hour or more for a phone call to get it figured out.

Well this fridge is absolutely great, had to get the board replaced once because of an error where the freezer stopped working other than that i would have given 5 Stars - great if you can check the interior of your fridge while shopping groceries.

I love it! It is a tight fit, because I didn't do the most precise measuring (measured from cupboard side to cupboard side, SHOULD have measured from front to front as they stick out about a 1/4 in on each side. I still would have bought the fridge, but I would have sanded the cupboards and repainted to prepare for delivery ;). Fridge was up to temp quickly, I enjoy the flex drawer for my kiddos lunch stuff and snacks. Family Hub should be great once I use it to it's full potential!

Nice Fridge, design is appealing, led lighting is great, storage is adequate, but every finger print shows, so constantly cleaning, smart hub is more of a luxury gimmick over useful solution yet, but I applaud the effort, when companies get to universal compatibility on IOT smart devices, things like this will become potentially more useful, current strategies to lock you in to only buying from a select group of very specific smart things makes effectiveness wane as consumers can’t always control the order/brand of IOT device they buy

A bit pricey but overall a nice roomy frig. The family hub is great for eliminating all the cluttered bits of paper all over the front of my frog and I never have to worry about forgetting my shopping list, but it does frequently disconnect from my wi-Fi and need rebooting which is annoying.

Works great, learning curve is a little long, but overall, very good. Love the screen greeting you with time, weather, and temp at a glance. The Pandora music it great.

I LOVE THIS REFRIGERATOR. I love the ability to sync my Samsung products to HUB and display our family schedule in one calendar. The smart features are amazing and I get a new recipe every day based on the items in my refrigerator.
