    The refrigerator started out ok, then two days after purchase it began to display an error code on 41c, stating that repair was needed to avoid food damage or something like that . I called samsung and they sent out a tech a few days later to "fix it". This tech company was not consumer-friendly, would not negotiate a time frame to come out and would only come out when they were available, regardless to if it was convenient to you or not. Two days after it was "fixed, but not really" it displayed the same error code. I called Samsung again, they apologized and set up a tech to come back. Samsung also stated that they would repair, replace or refund after this encounter if the issue wasnt fixed this next time. The tech comes out a few days later, looks at the refrigerator and says I dont know what is wrong with it, but I will call Samsung and let them know. A few days later I receive a call from Samsung stating that the computer screen on the refrigerator needs to be replaced and they will order another one and send a tech out to replace it. I stated to them that I no longer wanted the repair and wanted to return the refrigerator, because there were just too many issues. Samsung stated to me that I had to First have the refrigerator repair, then they will start the process of a refund. Ultimately I ended up returning the refrigerator back to the store, that I purchased it from and received a refund 2 Days Later. The store i returned it to was great, but Samsung not so much, too much run around.

    Loved the concept so it was an easy choice when replacing all the appliances during a kitchen remodel. Love being able to review the family Google calendar as I'm getting my morning cup of coffee. Unfortunately, there are a couple drawbacks, had I known, I would have possibly chosen differently. One, this refrigerator is LOUD. It periodically BANGS and it's more than ice falling into the hopper. I've been told this is "normal". Two, I now read the user manual and to replace the water filter you must shut off the water supply first! My water supply is BEHIND the refrigerator and not easily accessed. I guess I must shut off water to the whole house to change the filter. My 15 year old "OLD" refrigerator never even required that! Third and most importantly, Samsung pushed a software update two weeks after purchase. The update has a serious bug that impacts Family Hub operation. Checked their forum, numerous complaints but no response from Samsung. So we are left with a Family Hub, the main reason for buying THIS refrigerator, that is crippled.

    Good refrigerator with bells and whistles that are not what they should be. We find the Family Hub to be a terrible Internet appliance and things like it won't connect to our iPhones a major hassle. (That didn't bother us when one of us had a Samsung phone, but that is no longer the case.) I cannot go to Internet pages I want when I'm cooking so I still keep my tablet in the kitchen for Internet. Not being able to tell it I"m cleaning it and having the door-open warning going is silly. Not being able to set actual temperature in the flex section is annoying and not being able to set the amount of air flow in that section limits its use for more advance purposes. The ice maker is terrible, we are always running our of ice and it drips water every time we open the upper left door. The shelves are difficult to adjust and position for changing needs and container heights. The butter tray isn't covered and able to be set to warmer temperature. Buy the one without the hub you'll be much happier for much less money.

    Bought this fridge as part of a whole kitchen remodel. The fridge was wider than the stated measurement in the description about half way up the fridge due to "insulation". So we had to move a wall! Then 3 months into ownership bottom freezer stopped cooling. This is where the real pain started. It took samsung almost 2 weeks to send someone out to fix it. A family of 4 lived out of a cooler. Best buy would not even consider a return on the fridge. Still we stuck by the fridge and best buy until last week the cooling element on the bottom freezer has once again began to stop working. I have pledged with best by for an exchange or just a even trade for a different fridge and received a big "NO". This maybe a great fridge and we may have just gotten a lemon but trust me you really dont want to take a chance on getting caught in the customer service purgatory that my family is currently caught in dealing with both best buy and samsung.

    samsung changed the software. pain to sync with

    Worked well until updated software. i log in but nothing will sync anymore. they did this once before and you had to download the phone app to get anything to work. I do not recommend unless you want a fridge that has a night light on the front of it. i bought a samsung fridge, washer and dryer, 65" 4k curved tv and not happy with any of it since samsung starting getting rid of there software.

    The application for Family hub doesn't work. I've contacted Samsung and they basically said the app was going through an upgrade and it should be working soon... well we are now on month 3. You would think at 4K it would be fixed already. The inside is not spacious. I'm a little disappointed with the icemaking because it does like bits at a time.

    I called Best Buy to get an exchange. It's a cool fridge, I just think I received a defective one.Code 401C keeps popping up on my screen and I constantly have to unplug my fridge and plug it back in. I called geek squad and thats what they told me to do, 3 times. Each time the code will disappear, but who wants to constantly have to do that??

    1st one purchased had to be returned within 2 months due to needing major repair. New one I have now I am already seeing ice build up in the back.
