    Far from perfect - not sure it's worth it

    The big reason why you buy this fridge is that its a "smart" fridge, and it's sharp looking. BUT - it's about as smart as a 2 yr old. I say this because A) It does not allow a lot of useful apps that would be GREAT - like Netflix, Amazon, etc. B) It doesn't connect to Samsung enabled TVs for TV-Mirroring in any useful way (it is limited to a very short distance and if any walls are in the way, it greatly shortens the distance even further). C) It doesn't do things that would be awesome and are totally doable - like allow you to see inside the fridge while you are away from an app - like when you are at the grocery store. These are things the salesperson said were possible, btw, and they just simply are not. Aside from the areas where it falls short as a "smart" fridge - My wife and I have noticed that there are completely random times when it runs with a good amount of noise, which is troubling for it being brand new and so expensive. Also, it has unexpectedly and seemingly randomly disconnected from our WiFi several times - though that seems to have stopped, not sure if a software update fixed that or what but, still.. it's glitchy. Also, we have a newborn and make MANY nighttime trips to the kitchen when we have to pull some formula out of the fridge and I REALLY wish I could adjust the interior brightness because it absolutely blinds me at night and it just seems like something that would be so easy to implement. The ice-maker - ugh.. it sucks. If you ever have people over for drinks, you better be OK with 1 round of cold drinks. The tray isn't large enough to store a lot of ice, and the ice-maker is slow. 1 easy fix would be for Samsung to allow a 2nd ice maker in the freezer to fill a larger bucket for ice - but this doesn't have that... so.. yeah, ice is a problem. With all of this said - we spent a lot of money and since we aren't 100%, or even 80% pleased, we couldn't easily recommend this to people. It might make more sense to wait for a 3rd, or even 4th/5th gen version before jumping in - and honestly Samsung, add a 2nd ice maker to all of your fridges that don't store an adequate amount up top.

    Pricey fridge for what it is

    Decided to pay the extra $1000 for the "alexa integration". Turns out the family hub you pay through the teeth for doesn't have anything but the ability to change the temperature. I was expecting to be able to use this thing like a tablet/use voice to make using the grocery list easier. Turns out there isn't even a widget on a samsung phone for the grocery list. Don't plan on using it as a kitchen tv either, you can't stream things like Netflix or hulu because the browser doesn't support them. The one thing (youtube) you can watch looks like you're watching it through a kaleidoscope it's so grainy. The view inside fridge is a really cool feature but the cameras aren't at a great viewing angle and again lack of a widget make make it take 4 steps to get to. All in all it's an ok fridge but certainly not worth what they're charging you even on sale.

    glitchy calendar app

    The fridge works great, functions perfectly as a fridge, I gave this an average rating, because I was hoping for more with the calendar app. The calendar function was a major selling point for me and sadly it needs major work. Not user friendly with how to get each family member set up (trial and error, learned you need to have google accounts for everyone in order to add events for each family member). once set up, the app has been acting glitchy. I have lost events and have had recurring events disappear. I have had issues with times changing for events after 11/5 (which I have to assume is a time change issue) Calendar/family hub app needs much work and improvements in order to get a 5 star from me.

    Cooling issues

    6 weeks after installing it, the cooling system shut down. Water was leaking out of the door dispenser. I thought it was just a water leak, but upon checking, the ice maker quit. Then I checked the fridge, and all my food is "dewy" and the freezer food is thawing. I called Samsung and after unplugging and restarting, the fridge temp was 62 and the freezer was up to 27 degrees. The earliest service I can get is Monday. An entire weekend with no fridge is not ok. On the family Hub, we still haven't figured out how to create a family calendar. I've added items to my calendar but they never show up. Not sure what to do there.

    Over all the refrigerator is great. Have not figured out how to adjust the shelves and that has been annoying because I have to lay my milk and other tall beverages on their side (just cleaned up a mess last night from a container not tightly sealed). Also have not been able to gain the full benefits of the technology because I am an iPhone user. Although it comes with a nice variety of apps preloaded, the refrigerator does not allow you to add or remove apps, which sorta sucks. Overall, it functions well and I am pleased.

    I love the computer option but the fridge seems to have less space than the side by side. I'm not real found of the pull out bottom freezer either. I like the newer ones that open up side by side they have but those cost even more. Overall it disconnects from out internet often even though it says the signal is strong. Haven't figured that out yet. I'm sure once we do we will enjoy the features much more. Have only had it about a month.

    This Family Hub 2.0 it should help you manage your home and your life, with Food Management, Family Connection and Entertainment capabilities. However, it can get complicated with all the controls and capabilities. You really have to understand and be up to date with technology. It works great when my fiancé is around because of the Cyber/IT background. However, when my fiancé is not around, I am totally screwed! The only thing I know how to work is the Pandora app. I would save your money unless you understand the high tech aspect.

    When I first installed the fridge it was fairly easy to program and set up. But once it was set up a few days later the app started crashing on my phone. Without the app the fridge can not load pics or do all its functions which is a shame because when it worked it was awesome. Hoping Samsung fixes the crash soon other wise it’s piintless to have the screen etc... love that it plays pandora hands free.

    nice refridgerater, had it delivered before house was done, didnt open foam protectors and wrapping until installed months later(my fault for not checking), had good size dings on both sides, was unable to get fridge replaced, thought bb was better than that, next time i know to open package thoroughly upon delivery

    Although I’m definitely not a big fan of grocery shopping, the limited space in this fridge is a definite set back for me I luv everything about the appearance and functionality but the ability to not even have a full shelf for bigger items is a fail for me

    The refrigerator is a great but the Samsung app that is supposed to connect your smartphone to the refrigerator's onboard computer doesn't work at all which is a really big part of their advertising focus for this refrigerator.

    This product does not work as well as I thought. For some reason it drops WiFi connection. It’s also a bit hard to use with taller items, such as wine bottles and juice jugs, etc.

    Ice maker loud, Bixby has a lot of issues it's crapshoot if it will work that day. All my friends and family like making the signs on it and the pictures. Love the grocery list option too.

    I don't like how I have to constantly be signing in to wifi, and the updates pop up comes up everyother day .. all my picures get deleted a bit annoying
