It will not charge through case if you place it standing straight up. I like the cooling fan feature while it charges. Overall I'm happy with it.

It charges my phones faster than using the cord. I purchased two, one for my cubicle and for the house. You can charge your phone with the case on.

Works through a rugged case
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I tested this induction charger at the store before I bought it and it seemed tricky to get the S7 to stay charging with a two layer Mil spec rated case with a special case for reading glasses attached. After playing around with it at home, I discovered I can slide the door, to a compartment on the back, off completely (with case and glasses attached) and then there is less mass and less thickness for the induction field to penetrate. It would not charge at all with the regular induction charger at the AT&T store so this Rapid Charger is definitely more powerful. I am not sure I like the angle and the blue light is pretty bright at night. But, I really do like the induction charging rather than fussing with a cable.
