I am absolutely loving my new Samsung 5.8 Cu ft slide in Gas flex Duo Range with Dual door! It is a dream compared to my previous stove from the 60's. I never knew what I was missing until I got my new range. It fires up quite nicely without any hesitation. Each of the 5 burners work with as little or as much flame power as I need. It will easily adjust with the knobs on the front with little hesitation. They glow a pretty blue to let you know that you have the stove top burner on. The light can be seen from across the room. What I like is that you have to push the knobs in so that it will turn on the burner. This is a great safety feature to prevent the stove from turning on while cleaning. The middle burner is perfect for using the griddle that is included, (which is very heavy duty by the way...it's cast iron) I can also use it for oblong pots or pans. There is even a wok burner attachment! It burns so hot that I can get rid of my electric wok and use this instead! The simmer burner is perfect for making stews or chili. All of the other burners are great too! The flames can go very high, which I would not have to use them on full blast because my pots are not big enough! The range allows me to cook evenly so I don't have to keep moving my chicken pieces around the pot to make sure that it's evenly cooked. I just flip and it cooks nicely all around. The oven part of the range is awesome! I love the look of it and the way that it functions! The dual door is a great option for me so that I can cook multiple items at once. The door has a locking feature so that I can just open the top door my itself if I don't want to disturb what is cooking below. There are two lights inside, one for the top oven and the other for the bottom oven. I can turn them on independently or together. The oven comes with multiple racks that can be adjusted to various positions within the two ovens. The touch screen is a nice added feature as well as the wi-fi connectibility. (still learning about the wifi) The touch screen pad responds quickly and with ease. A touch of the button and this oven does what I need it to. There is even a Sabbath mode on this oven. (not a feature I would use, but I would imagine that some people would find this very useful) There is a lockout feature on this range as well. Hold the button down for 3 seconds and it will lock the touchpad from being utilized until you hold it down again for another 3 seconds. This feature will also lock the oven door shut. This is a very nice for someone who has a child. The range has a warming drawer on the bottom as well. One drawback is that it is not very deep, but I can live with that. It's a very heavy and durable range that can be enjoyed for years to come! Overall, this range is a beauty and has a lot of great features that other ranges do not. I am very pleased with it and look forward to using it for many dishes to come!

This slide in range is sleek and sexy! I must say I must have went overboard buying this for my kitchen but this range is worth every penny. This is basically a prosumer grade range because of all the features. The flex duo feature is awesome for when you need to cook seperately dishes, and when you need the whole oven, you can remove the divider. The oven even comes with a built in thermometer to measure the internal temperature of your meals and when reached it automatically switches to a mode to keep the dish warn. Every detail on this range was crafted with the millennial in mind in my opinion. From metal knobs that are backlit by Blue LEDs, simmer burner, wok attachment, griddle,a 9000 BTU burner, to a touch panel interface to control the range. This thing even has WIFI built in and you can download an app to your phone to control the oven. I can't wait to have it delivered and installed. I will definitely christen it by cooking a steak on it.

Safe and smart range

If you are looking for less than a commercial grade with all the new high tech features, but foremost safety of family, then look no further. What my family and i love most about this range is its smart and safety options. first of all samsung has intregated this range with its smart control options. what that allows the users to do is not only the convience of controlling the dual convections ovens, but also allows you to montior the cooktop. In the gas version, you cannot control the cooktop from the smartthings app, but atleast you can see if you left any of your cooktops on or even the oven. The ovens you can turn on and off from the app. Having two little kids in the house who love to get into things, this is an amazing option. Also, what samsung has done is that they have also built in led lights into the knobs sections of the cooktop, which may not seem like a big deal, but when you have two little kids running around the house and getting into thing, you can easily glance over you shoulder to see if they kids accidently turned on any of the cooktop or just pull out your phone and check. In my opinion, samsung has done an amazing job with this range. It has an amazing 22,000 btu burner, which just makes cooking anything an easy task. The over controls have been placed in the middle of the cooktop knobs in a very sleek and easy touch control screen. The dual flex, dual oven make cooking a large meal just a simple task. The dual ovens can be set to different temperatures and seperate cooking times. The upper oven also has a connection for a temperature probe which allows you to monitor the internal temperature of any item you are cooking, along with its multiple adjustable racks. This is an amazing safe and smart range.

Great range, important to learn how to best use it

We have had this range since September 2018.
Every other range I have had in kitchens over the years were either purchased by a landlord or prior owner. This is the first range I have purchased for myself. What drew me to it is the feel of the knobs, the fact that they are lit when the burners are on, the readability of the digital touch display, the overall look, and the fact that you can use it as one big oven or two small ones. At the time we didn't see any ranges with this type of flexibility.
For the amount of cooking that I do most of the time (for two of us), I find I mostly use the top oven and the stove top. I use both ovens or one big oven when I entertain.
I read some of the negative reviews and agree with some but not others. The positioning of the rack in the top oven is important to figure out to avoid burning. You can't cook a big turkey plus other dishes, but the nice thing is you can cook a big turkey when you want to. Those other double door ovens don't have that flexibility. That was a big selling point for us.
I agree that the middle burner heats unevenly, but that can be an asset. For cooking it's good to have areas that are less hot so that the items that cooked more quickly have a place to rest or cook at a slower pace, so I don't find the unevenness a positive feature.
I also learned you have to wait for the heavy iron griddle on the middle burner to get to temperature before cooking anything on it. A spatter of water should quickly sizzle when it's ready. Once I figured that out, I had much better results.
I tried the thermometer once and it didn't gauge the temperature of a turkey breast correctly at all when compared with a regular thermometer inserted at the same spot. On top of that, it turns the oven off when it deems your food has reached the desired temperature. I can understand why it was designed that way, but I don't think it's working as it should. Seems more like a gimmick than a useful feature.
In summary, being such a different range, you have to learn how to use it. That goes with any tool or appliance, you have to have some patience and understand how it differs from what you are used to. If you are the type of person who won't read manuals and just want things to work a certain way, this range may not be for you. Otherwise, I am enjoying using it and have made many memorable meals.

I was a little nervous about buying this double oven as it isn't a true double oven. We are primarily using the top oven for cooking and it works wonderfully. It does cook faster than our previous oven though! The range is large, and the middle burner is wonderful. We have got lots of use out of it. Surprisingly the griddle has been easy to clean. My only complaint thus far is range top is black so I can see lint on it after wiping it off.

Not only do I love the way this gas slide in range looks, I love the features. The 22,000 BTU burner, the dual oven with options for regular bake, convection bake, broil. Wi-fi connect, temp probe auto cook, Love the blue lights, ability to use 2 ovens with different temps at the same time, the list goes on & on. I am so very happy I purchased this range. I even bought the microwave over the range to match!

If I could do it all again I’d probably choose differently.
I chose this range mainly for the super hot burner, better (though, still not great) center burner and potential convenience of the semi “double oven”. The super burner is amazing, both front burners are. I haven’t much used the other 3, but center burner is ok, better than the useless one on my old (and horrible LG) convection range.
The oven(s) as two separate ovens have been less glorious. With the divider removed and as one oven it’s been great. We’re still trying to work out a manageable temperature conversion for the top oven but it scorched the crap out of some brownies on our first attempt. With the divider in, the bottom oven size is an absolute joke. Great if you’re cooking two take and bake pizzas that need different temps/times but not much else. We’ve removed the divider and found that it doesn’t fit in the bottom drawer!!! Why would you design it this way Samsung? Now I have to find a place to store the divider because I’ll rarely ever have it in.
I should have played with it more in the store, my mistake. It is otherwise a fantastic range so far but don’t buy this thinking that you’re getting a oven that can cook a medium to large turkey in the bottom and a few side dishes up top. Not happening unless you spatchcock your bird.
If the burners were as good on the single oven version I would have returned this for that, but they’re not, so oh well. Flex duo is pretty much a gimmick. But as a normal oven it’s great.
The smart features are just meh, kinda cool but meh. I haven’t installed the hood yet so I haven’t tested the connectivity between the two yet but fingers crossed.

Our initial impressions as the range was being unpacked, well this one’s a "looker'. Sleek and well designed. The installer actually commented, this one is loaded with features! As we have used this range over the past week, there are many positives that have struck us.
1) Safety - the blue led lights on burner knobs are lit on when either the gas burner or oven is in use. This is a big safety feature for families having little kids and bigger forgetful folks like me (been guilty of doing that in the past).
2) The increased clearance provided by design for the burner and base grate is more than our previous range. This makes the flame rise to the vessel rather than being spread out of the perimeter of pan or pots. Big plus for optimal coverage and reduces loss of heat to the periphery. And, then it also prevents the handles from being exposed to the flame.
3) The wok grate (circular support base) for woks, invariably an integral part of Indian and oriental cooking, is one of our favorite features. The inverted slant on the grate for support provides perfect stability for the wok and prevents it from wobbling. This ranks very high in my opinion especially for Indian households where deep frying is a near daily cooking feature.
4) The center burner is well sized, providing good coverage to the griddle and make multiple rotis (Indian bread) at once.
5) The flex oven feature is brilliant. Allows two distinct cooking options in roast or bake at differing temperatures. The temperature probe is an added bonus.
6) All these combined with the feature rich digital control panel (delay start, keep warm) with SMART connectivity to your phone to control oven options makes it a feature pack Smart Cooking range
All these and more, make this flex duo offering, an ideal choice for households, wanting to create a SMART Home ecosystem.
P.S. The well-spread out design for burners and steel body makes it super easy to clean

We bought this stove and oven as a replacement for the freestanding model. Sadly, we went ahead with a remodel about a month and a half after buying the previous one. I was so spoiled by the dual ovens, though, that I HAD to have it again. And this model does not disappoint! This model has the large middle burner and included griddle, which the last one didn't have. And we love it! It's great for making multiple grilled cheese and pancakes at one time. The upper oven does tend to run hot, so we have to watch it. But overall I am really happy with this product.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and replaced our old electric cooktop with this beautiful gas slide-in range. I love the continuous flat surface of the three iron grids. They each have sturdy rubber pads that keep the grids from scratching the surface while you remove them for cleaning. The dual oven compartments are very nice for cooking at different temperatures or just a single small item. The display panel is pretty basic but is angled nicely so you can read it easily while standing at the range. The GE Profile is impossible to read without bending over. The burners on the Samsung light instantly and are easily adjustable to any temperature. Having the large, brass, high-temp burner is a bonus! There's a typical storage bin on the bottom that comes with both a wok grate and a griddle that sits over the center burner. These are not included by other manufacturers. We weighed this unit heavily against the GE Profile and the Samsung felt sturdier, had a better design, and came with extras. Overall, it's beautiful and a joy to use. I feel like a professional chef!

We got this as an open box floor model and it was marked down 65% off retail. Very nice range and looks great in the kitchen. We had a dual oven before this one and the bottom oven broke so we only were able to use the top oven. The top oven was a much smaller oven cavity then the Samsung and it always burned food. The Samsung has a larger top oven and the rack goes very low and the convection oven moves the heat around well and we have not burned anything and cooks very quickly. The flat griddle is great for grilled cheese and pancakes. we have not used the the meat side of the griddle since we would think the grease splatter would be messy but imagine it would cook just as well. Not sure if this or any residential oven is worth the $2800 retail price but if you can get this one cheap it is loaded with nice features and seems it will last a very long time.

I absolutely love this stove. It cooks things much faster than any other stove I have had. The middle burners with the griddle are basically useless if you ask me but they make the stove look cool. I love that I can use this either as a full oven (take out the middle piece ) or I can put the middle divider back in and use as a double oven. It may be a bit pricey compared to other stoves but I would spend the money again in a heartbeat.

Absolutely love this stove from cooking small to cooking big this stove is perfect! The griddle in the middle works great from eggs to steak. Need to only throw biscuits in the oven...use the top part which heats up faster and cooks so evenly. I was also so surprised on how easy it was to learn how to use the stove and oven. When you first look at the stove you get kinda overwhelmed but have no fear it was super easy to use. Didn't even have to read the manual!

Some issues you should be aware of

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
I broke my cardinal rule: When you make a significant purchase, you should really download the manual first BEFORE you buy and read it. If I did this, I would have been aware of some limitations regarding the double-oven feature of this product.
This oven has some features that only work when in 'single-oven' mode.
Food warmer feature:
This only works in single-oven mode. So, if you think you can use one of the ovens to keep food warm and the other to bake, forget it. Not available.
Upper temperature limit:
I like to bake pizzas as hot as possible. The specs say this oven goes to 550 degrees, which I would normally set for pizza. But NOT in double-oven mode. Only up to 480 for each oven. Sorry!
Convection / standard bake features (convection uses the interior fans):
When using double-oven, convection feature is available in both ovens, but only one oven can use the non-convection bake mode (forgot which one).
Temperature differences when using double oven:
The allowable temperature difference between the top and bottom oven is about 125 degrees. So, you can bake at 425 in top oven and 300 in bottom oven. But if you wanted to bake at 425 in top and 250 in bottom, it's a no-go!
Pros:
Front right burner is really powerful!
Solid build quality
Nice front touch panel (although leaves fingerprints!) Wipe it often.
Nice center burner and heavy duty removable griddle
Two independent timers
Cons:
The double-oven limitations described above
Doesn't have the utility of a true double oven
Timer alarms not loud enough
So, if you're ok with the limitations listed, I would still recommend this product!

Spend the extra bank to get this gas oven. Yes, it looks cool but the BTU's on the lower right burner are white hot! When burners are on, nice blue light shines so you always know. Duel flex features are a bonus with the oven and don't go far if you're using the top one. It heats up fast. Excellent choice. Black Stainless steel is the way to go too.

Can’t decide which I love more, the two oven options or the griddle in the middle. Oh, and the “super burner”. Nothing to not love about this range. It even auto converts temperatures for convection use! If I put in cookies at 320degrees, it auto converts to 300 for convection. Don’t regret this purchase at all!

This was the stove I wanted. Reading reviews changed my mind & I started looking at other stoves. I read more reviews and really thought about what people were saying. In the end I went with my gut and bought this. I'm not disappointed that I bought it but it is a learning curve. Burners on high are way too hot, except on center grill burner that you want on high heat. I have yet to use the bottom oven. Top oven at high heat has cooked unevenly right to left which is weird so I'm having qeek squad out to check. It's beautiful tho. I love the flexibility of dual oven. Oven heats to temp very quickly. I love the quick boil and the simmer Burners. We can't seem to get WiFi connected and my husbands a programmer so that's a little frustrating. I absolutely love how the knobs light up when in use. I used to have a terrible habit of leaving burners on low for a very long time, this blue light prevents me from doing that!

Can easily become one large oven or two separate ovens, convection or normal gas, easy to clean, and it gives me lots of stove top space to cook. I love the controls on the front face, giving me the maximum space for 5 burners. Bonus items are the wok support and griddle/grill plate.

It works great so far no problems with that. The finish material is very difficult to clean especially oily substances. I like my appliances spotless which takes time to achieve with this. Another downside is how easily the doors are damaged, scratches and dents will happen easily just like every other unit with the black stainless finish you have to handle them with kid gloves. I would've given it five stars if the door panels and finish were a bit tougher. Apart from that I love it easy to use and quite efficient. That super burner is a boss while all the others bring things to a boil in no time flat on medium to low settings. I'd highly recommend it I just wish Samsung would take quality more seriously, the fit and finish is great.
