This is a wonderful phone, better than mine! We got this for my 8 year old as we were tired of her using our phones to video chat. Fantastic quality that you come to expect from Samsung. No alot of bloatware & it is easy to use. Activation literally took 2 minutes total. We were probably in the store 10 minutes, it was awesome!

It was time to replace my old cell phone, as it was literally falling apart on me. It seems the battery had exploded, causing the back of the case to crack, and the screen began to separate from the main case.
Sooo... I got on-line to Best Buy's website and began looking around for a comparable replacement. I began an on-line chat with James F. from Best Buy. When he first began the chat, it said, "Hello, my name is [insert name here], how can I help you?" Having worked in tech support myself, I found that little glitch rather amusing, because I've had funny mishaps like that myself.
James was extremely helpful in answering my questions. I explained to him the problem with my old phone, that I needed to find a replacement, and that I wanted to keep the same phone number. He assured me that as long as I decided to remain with the same service provider, xferring the phone number over from the old phone to the new one would be no trouble at all. He provided some links to a couple of different cell phone models I could look over and compare. He was very helpful.
After looking at some of those links, I decided to head over to the Jordan Landing Best Buy store and purchase one.
Shortly after I entered the store, I was greeted by Elissa. Her customer service skills were TOP NOTCH! She helped me select a new phone, and I decided upon the Galaxy A11.
The phone is a little bit wider, and considerably longer than my old, Motorolla go-phone, but Elissa allowed me to check it out to make sure it felt comfortable, and wanted to make sure I would be happy with my purchase. At no time did I feel pressured. She answered all my questions. She also sold me a screen protector and installed it for me.
Elissa's co-worker, Craig, transferred the data from my old phone onto the new one. Also explained to me that I could turn my old phone in at the customer service desk for recycling.
The A11 has 32 gigs of built-in memory, plus the option to install additional memory. It has a front and rear camera. The main camera has multiple lenses you may select from. The phone features sms texting, internet browsing, voice mail, GPS, speakerphone, email, the works. The larger screen is actually quite nice, as the icons and text are much easier to read compared to my old phone. Also, the apps seem to load much quicker as well.
This phone features a small pad on the rear for fingerprint authentication. After the phone is initially powered on and I'm logged in with the pin number, so long as the power remains on, all I need to do to access the phone is simply tap my left or right index finger on the back of the phone and it will allow me in. Much quicker than having to enter the passcode every single time I want to use it. I really like that feature!
The phone comes with a cable that connects from the phone to a standard USB port on my computer, making it very easy to transfer my data, photos, and music files to and from the phone. Because it comes with the USB cable, and my car has a USB port, I can easily plug the phone into my car and have the music play over my car stereo, and... as far as I know, I can charge the phone in my car as well, via the USB port. (Phone also comes with an AC power module so you can connect the USB cable to it to run it off of, or charge from standard AC power.) Battery life is about 40-ish hours. Not bad.
Sure there are other phones out there which have a lot more features, but they also cost much, much more. I think, for the amount of features you get with this particular phone, it's a great choice. The phone may seem a bit large, but it still fits nicely in my jeans front pocket, I can operate it with one hand.
I've had this phone for a week now, and so far, I really like it.
On previous visits to Best Buy, the customer service has been hit and miss, but on this particular visit, Elissa and Craig NAILED IT!!! They know what customer service is, and how it should be! They were outstanding! I left the store a very satisfied customer.

Large screen and a good value if you don't need the "prestige" of an "S" series. This one works on the Sprint network and was hard to find as only the GSM models seem to be abundant. Not top-of-line processor or camera, but quite good nonetheless.

I bought two of these. 1 each for my sister and niece. Their first smartphone. I was very impressed. The quality of the phone is right up there. Just as good as my A50 that cost 100.00 more. Just a few differences in processor and ram between the A11 and A50

Was perfect for a while but as i used the phone more the processor was slower and slower each day. Still a good value for the price. When I break my phone I go to best buy and buy one of these. Solid, just wish it had a bit better processor. Cant have more than 3 apps working or itll take sooooo long.

Transition period, 4G to 5G

With today's changing from 4G into 5G, this Samsung's lowest priced piece is ideal during this transition period.
It gives you everything as in any Samsung's higher priced unit.
It is good for 2 to 3 years use until then the world is at least 75% 5G.
Then you can opt for higher end unit.
Now, it is not worth it to spend on high end unit yet for tomorrow what you have today will become antique so fast that your wallet might not be able to catch up.
So, this A11 is excellent until then...if you need a new cellphone now.

LOVE SAMSUNG, DISAPPOINTED IN A11

I have owned many Samsung phones from previous generations like T999L, Galaxy 3, you name it BUT the A11 is by far the worst phone product I have ever experienced. I loathe it and the Samsung Rep @ the SL TX store totally misrepresented the device. It is full of flaws. Most notably is the HORRIBLE camera. Who ever has had a selfie where the image comes out in reverse? You have to take about 6 shots just to find 1 decent pic. Taking pictures with the A11 is about as time consuming as taking pictures on your wedding day! It's ridiculous. My 3 year old Galaxy S3 still takes better pictures than the new A11! Next to bad photos are the movement of the icons to take the picture. They will move and you can't even click to take a picture...who knew...crazy. The screen timeout feature does not stat set and the device just blacks out the screen in a couple of minutes. I even set it on 30 minutes and it still went out before 30 minutes. Oh and have fun trying to take a screenshot needing both hands to click the side buttons, In a month of buying the A11 phone have had 2 companies not hear me after 10 minutes conversation...it's like someone hit mute. Next if I type a text message and try to include an emoji it inserts the emoji then it freezes...you can't type another letter! You have to toggle, what til it decides to come alive again and backspace then type the rest. How bizarre is that. The device does not have easily available schedule text messaging...again heck even the Galaxy S3 had that capability. How you tried a simple phone call needing to look up the name/number ? Again, ridiculous...so many steps to a simple action it's annoying In summary, the unit I was sold (with an non OEM charger) was mispresented and inferior.
In summary I would NEVER recommend this Samsung A11 model and I love Samsung products.

Senior with my 1st Smart phone. 1st 2 days very frustrating, but thanks to a friend, am slowly learning it. A few things still irritating because haven't figured them out, but think I have the necessities. Switched from a flip phone with another provider and kept having calls cut off; hopefully this is resolved. May have to get a separate charger when leave home; I think because I'm still putting things on the phone the battery gets used up sooner.

Had to replace my Mom's Metro phone. This was a good value at around $90, unlocked. Thought it would be too much phone for her, but it's not. I like that it has expandable memory too.

This is a basic phone that I bought to temporarily replace a broken iPhone. Memory is not enough and it takes a while to load the complete webpage. One should have lots of patience while using this phone. As said earlier, this is just a basic phone and one should not expect more out of it.

My daughter wanted a new phone and choose this one. This one is a major upgrade from her old phone. Bigger screen, better camera, and afford able. I love that Samsung is making good quality phones affordable.
