Bought this for my mom as an upgrade to her 6+ year old phone. This phone is decent quality for the price. She mentioned that there seems to be issues answering the phone when she receives calls. When she slides the answering button it sometimes won't accept the call. My mom is pretty tech savvy so we did rule out operator error. Overall, if you're looking for a decent phone and don't want to spend a grand, this is the one for you.

This phone is an amazing package for the price. Other than a few minor things it is almost completely comparable to my friends S10. When comparing we found the speaker to be worse on the A50, and it doesn't include any of the premium features like wireless charging, or as many cameras, it is almost as good. With how frequently phones come out these days and designed obsolescence playing a part, this is a great phone and should definitely be considered when looking at androids.

I bought this phone specifically because I wanted one with a good camera. It takes great shots, and has user friendly camera settings. I only use it for basic calls, texts, pictures and a couple shopping apps. It works great for me, and I plan to keep it for a few years. The surface is nice and sleek, with a pretty day glow finish. I recommend a case for easier grip. The price was comparable to other stores. I bought this phone after looking at my daughter's phone.

My Unlocked Samsung - Galaxy A50 with 64GB Memory still works perfectly after a year. The Samsung - Galaxy A50 internal memory of 64 can be extended to a larger capacity. I have extended my phone with a 512GB Micro SD Card where I store all my pictures, music and all downloaded documents coming through my phone, internet and WhatsApp. After a full charge, my phone can be on for more than 8 hours.

When it comes to smartphones, I'm definitely a cheapskate. I just want one with that works well and has a decent camera. When my old phone died out of the blue, I was initially taken aback by how much phone prices had risen since I last bought one. I saw this one on sale, checked out some reviews, and took the plunge. I'm glad I did because I have had no complaints with it thus far, and the camera is a lot better than my old one.

I'm glad Samsung finally brought their excellent midsize devices to the states. The Galaxy A50 has a fantastic AMOLED screen , 6GB RAM and plenty of storage. I am satisfied with its performance, however I do not care for the in-display fingerprint scanner, it's slow and somewhat inaccurate. These are always slower than read mounted or power button fingerprint scanners, but this is the only issue I had with the device.

The Samsung Galaxy A50 64 gig seems to be a decent phone for the money. I paid about $224 for it since I was activating it with Verizon service. Otherwise I think it was about $274 without any kind of activation. I replaced a Samsung Galaxy J-3 V 16 gig. The j3v was a good phone as well but 16 gigs is not a lot of memory and it was pushing maximum capacity. The A50 has done everything I need it to do and has Ample Storage for my use. I use Swype texting/typing with my right thumb. It is hard to reach the upper portion of the A50 at times because it is a longer phone than the j3 V. That's not a big deal, just an observation. I'm not a big fan of having to use a small tool which is provided to open the SIM card / micro SD card holder. (Can also use a small paperclip) Also, it does not make sense to me why the SIM card and the MicroSD card are in the same tray / holder. It's kind of ridiculous that you have to remove your sim card to get to your micro SD card. I also find that the tray in which you insert the SIM card in the MicroSD card does not hold either card very securely into place. This requires that you very very gingerly slide the tray into the phone so neither card slips out of position. Overall, to this point, it was a decent purchase.

Purchased my Samsung Galaxy A50 (unlocked) as a "Deal Of The Day" so received a great price, especially since I activated it with Verizon at the time of purchase at the store. It comes with a really nice plastic case (called black but it's really blue) instead of metal, like Samsung's flagship phones. The screen is big & gorgeous. The cameras suit my needs beautifully, in fact I added a 256gb microSDXC card to hold all the photos & videos I expect to shoot, in addition to augmenting the 64gb internal memory for apps. The processor operates smooth & fast. It came loaded with Android 9 (Pie) and it installed two security updates immediately but, just a few days ago, Samsung provided an Android 10 upgrade along with UI 2. I now love using gestures with the new UI interface and appreciate the secure folder function for my financial apps. I purchased the two layer Eiger North case from the UK along with the ZAGG glass screen protector from BB for protection. Again, if I had spent $300 to $1,000 for a phone, I can't imagine being any happier than I am with my A50! I now understand why the A50 has received all the accolades. I highly recommend the A50 for those wanting the best bang for their money!

For the price, the phone is great and does more than some other brands newer phones. However, the screen could have better response and feedback, along with display and zoom settings. I would definitely say this phone should be geared more towards beginners or individuals with bad eyesight. The display, at its smallest, is very large. On a personal level, the phone in general is too big for my liking. This Samsung has decent accessibility options. It's built in with Samsung and Google - where most pre-instslled apps can be completely uninstalled or, at the least, disabled. The bloatware is minimal. If I could go back in time, I would want to play and use the device a little more before pressing the go button to purchase. It does the job and more. Has a great camera and is relatively fast. I'd take user knowledge and experience with smartphones into consideration when choosing this as a new device.

I got this phone after my old phone died so I didn't have much time for shopping. As I bought the phone during COVID-19, I could only rely on internet review while shopping. I was looking for mid-range phone as I mostly use the phone for some internet and casual games. The performance of the phone is good for my needs. The screen looks very good, however I find the size of the phone bit too large. With average size hands, I don't find it easy to use with one hand. Call quality is good. The proximity sensor doesn't always keep the screen off when I hold the phone next to my ear, resulting random taps on the screen. After the purchase, I found on forums many discussions regarding this sensor. As a hobbyist photographer I don't rely on the phone's camera and it wasn't an important factor for me. However the phone camera is average, probably one of the main differentiation between mid-range phones and high-end phones. In summary it is a good phone if you are ok with big phones and using headset for calls.
