Overall a solid, everyday performer. There is some performance lag when loaded with running apps due to some limited memory. BUT the SD card expansion slot, great look and feel, and solid battery life gave us exactly what we needed for a VERY good price.

I think for a mid-range smartphone this model has excellent features and operation. I was looking for a sightly smaller screen to replace my Samsung Galaxy J3 but this one is only 1/4" larger and so much better equipped. Of course one could spend twice as much and perhaps get more memory and better performance. But this is a very good alternative for anyone looking for great performance, quality photos and good cellular connectivity even in a rural area where I live.

Really grat phone love it still works really grat after 3 years

This phone is very comparable to my old LG and so it was easy to use and download the info from my old phone. It takes good quality photos and is easy to use.

The a53 is ok. The lag while opening apps comes and goes. Lots of bloat ware , the touch screen response sometimes lags and takes multiple touches to get a response. The price to performance is my biggest gripe. The pixel 6a just dropped $100. I bought this a53 for $449. Maybe an update will fix some of the lag that shouldn't be on this phone for the price. Build is ok and pics are ok . I think there is 5 years of security updates. Battery life is excellent and charges quickly. Display is nice. Not a great multi tasking phone but it works. Stuck with it for 3 years at least. I had a 2019 Moto g power before this phone and would have got another Motorola phone but lack of security updates on midrange phones prevented that purchase .Most $ I've paid for a phone yet. No way going to get an S series. You been warned.

Great phone for the price. 4 star because I wasn't able to use it through my SUV. My voice sounded like a robot. Samsung recently fixed that, perhaps with an update because the other day I accidently made a call through the car and I was told my voice was clear. So, kudos to Samsung for finally fixing it. I've had the phone for 14 months.

Excellent phone at a reasonable price. Good camera, good screen/ display, upgradable memory and responsive touch. Its not a flagship but works just as well. Using on TMobile 5g and very satisfie.

This phone punches well above it's weight category, I needed a back up while my Z Fold 4 was getting a fix. The fix did not stick so I moved to the Z Fold 5, and gave the A53 to my father. He complains about everything, but still uses it almost 2 year on.

Wanted a cheaper phone with a good camera. This phone is decent but I felt that the camera is really lacking, and it can'r handle video playback of some videos that are HDR and 60fps. For day to day use and browsing the phone is fine. It sonetimes randomly needs a restart to connect to the internet. You're getting what you pay for, its a decent value for its price.

This is an excellent phone, the battery life is superb and the camera is amazing and for the price you cannot go wrong.

Great phone! It was a nice upgrade from previous Samsung price was reasonable features everything I needed nice camera.

This has been a great phone. I've been using the flagship S-series galaxy edge/plus for years as phones just keep going up I wanted to try a cheaper samsung option and this is a solid option. There are a fee things that you will not get at this pricepoint, most notably and what I do miss is the wireless charging other than that I hardly notice its not a a flagship phone. This is a great budget option if you don't need wireless charging!

This phone takes nice pictures and easy to use. Voice, texting and calls are all smooth.
