I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy Book Flex Alpha, and I have been very pleased. The display is wonderful and the keyboard is very responsive even with light touch. It met all my requirements: backlit keyboard, finger-print scanner, multiple USB-B ports, HDMI port, and touchscreen. I was unsure at first since my last laptop was a 14", but I have not noticed a difference since going back to a 13.3". If you need assistance or have questions, the online chat with Samsung is helpful and responds within a few minutes. The best things about this laptop are its battery life and lightweight. I am a student who uses laptops for most of the day, and I can easily use my laptop for a full day after one charge. This laptop is very portable and easy to hold with one hand. The screen responsive to touch, and I like the functionality of it folding into a tablet if needed. The sound quality is also another plus. I have had previous laptops that do not have the best sound quality, but this laptop's sound is clear and loud only on 50. I have been very pleased so far and would recommend this laptop to anyone needing a laptop to run multiple functions at once!

Laptop works great. I like how light it is. It runs very quick for the basic things we've been using it for, online meetings, Word/Excel... Having a built-in HMDI port has been a lifesaver, no need to buy USB-C adapter. The thumbprint reader is a nice touch. Surprised that the webcam doesn't support Microsoft Hello. Wifi and bluetooth work great. The major con against this laptop is build quality. I noticed there's a very light bend in the screen. When open you don't notice it, but when you close the screen, you see the gap not being straight. This doesn't seem to affect screen performance so far.

I love my laptop. I use it for every day wen browsing without any issues. It’s super light weight, user friendly, and beautifully designed. As far as the reviews about the sound not being great, it’s really a user preference. I think the speakers sound good for the price. This is a laptop I would recommend to anyone looking for one that is great for simple, daily use.

Extremely portable and versatile. Works perfectly for my business needs and is much better than a Chrome Book. Very professional appearance and I have received high praise and good comments on the video during Zoom calls.

Having owned many Samsung products I have never thought about owning a Samsung laptop. It has always been HP or Dell. I was on the market for a laptop and came across this which was on sale and I could not be happier. The laptop is built great, it is fast, fingerprint reader is also very good and has many Samsung features that you find on your Samsung phones. The display has to be one of the best out right now matching those of a MacBook or even better. The black colors look awesome on a QLED screen. Overall it was a great purchase and would highly recommend you check it out!

Amazing for djing, just be careful if something gets on the screen and you have a habit of wiping it off, also the fold tablet is iffy they keys sit on the other side and still work as its a laptop, but all in all top of the line

So I have had this computer for a year and 1/2 now and I have a lot to say. If you are buying this for photo editing, buy a different one. It supports Lightroom okay, but photoshop freezes and has an error message after about 15 minutes of editing. Thankfully I don’t use it often but it’s still irritating. Overall, it’s okay. I wouldn’t buy again, but I’m not buying another until this one breaks Pros - Lightweight Decent amount of ports Awesome storage Cons Hinges SUCK. I have to physically hold them while I close the laptop, or I’ll be left with a gap in my computer (see pictures) Battery life is not the greatest. It was when I got it but it has slowly went downhill and now it won’t hold a charge for over 4 hours. And if you use photo editing software, it will drain it in 2.

I've had this computer for about two months. I selected it because of price, size and weight. I'm not a computer expert, I use this mostly for work. I also don't know if there are settings to fix my issues or its a computer specific problem. Pros: Slim, Sleek, lightweight, fits in a purse when traveling, battery lasts a long time with consistent use (6-8 is as long as I've tried but could go longer), screen is sensitive, back light/keyboard light are nice and can be adjusted. If you have other Samsung products, can sync them all up. When it folds, there is no additional bulk. You can lay it on a desk flat to draw or show presentation. Cons: The outside scratches/scuffs/gets dark spots easily and there are no skins for this anywhere. The biometric will not read your finger if it is coldish or damp. Example, holding a drink or after washing your hands. Register both hands. Overheats sometimes when downloading files, watching a movie, etc. Notifications daily say a Samsung update is ready and device says its updated. It crashed after a month and Samsung had to help manually update multiple drivers. ***The Alexa is Terrible*** It routinely logs itself out and I have to set it up over and over. It rarely responds in stanby mode. I don't use other Alexa products, Google home instead so this isn't a big issue for me, but it might be if you want them all to work together. I couldn't figure out the function keys to set up short cuts (volume/brightness/ etc) they don't work out of the box. Overall, I like this and am happy. A tech savy person could probably solve most of this, aside from asthetics. I also considered the Microsoft Surface Book 3, so this is a steal.

Gr8 pc , awesome screen and slick design BUT ..

ok lets start with the good : Its blazing fast , programs open up effortlessly , the pc boots up pretty quick , the touch ID is really nice .. The colors on this Qled display just pop ! it even has that extra bright option when you out in broad day light . Love the touch screen super responsive and the tablet mode is nice , folds neatly and feels great in your hands , the 13 inch display is just perfect . Super Light weight and the all aluminum body is really nice , little fingerprints traces no biggie , comes with Alexa but i didnt use it since i am only using google platform devices at home , but to have that feature there is a good one . The Bad : the backlit keyboard is not lit enough even at max , you can't really manually keep the keys light on even when you set the brightness level , they come On and off depending on light around you , i think the user should have the liberty to control this manually . The adapter is a major disappointment , dont like the fact we cant charge the thing via usb port , the adapter pin that plugs into the pc is so small and tiny that it could snap and break easily leaving you with a costly repair ! just a poor design IMO . there were no led indicator that the pc is plugged in and being charged , it would be nice to have one placed on either sides of the laptop . the screen wobbles a lot , its slick and thin but it shakes like crazy ! the connecting hinge needs more work ... lastly when the pc is inactive it goes into sleep or turns off , when try to bring it back on the keyboard comes on but the screen doesnt ! for whatever reason there's a glitch or some weird settings there ! you cant even resume your work , need to shut down and start all over losing everything you worked on if you didnt save . I Really wanted to like this pc and keep it but it has lots of short comings for that price point. i do own an All in one Pc from samsung and this thing refuses to die , solid machine , but with this laptop being an entry level in this segment Samsung can do better. Much room for improvements . Thanks

Having this laptop for almost a month, I can confidently say that it is a affordable, budget laptop. I bought this immediately when my old one died and I do not regret my purchase. I would recommend this to people who enjoy Samsung/Windows products and is okay with compromising some features. I consider this laptop as a budget laptop (my total cost with tax was around $700). PROS: Fingerprint recognition works great, I have had no issues with it so far. If you do have issues with the fingerprint recognition, I recommend removing and/or adding (more) fingerprint(s), doing this may clear the cache and help with . The laptop boots itself up without having to press the power button (just lift it to turn on). I like that the right shift button is smaller (you either love it or hate it). My hands are smaller than average so the keyboard layout is great for me (my WPM has increased from using this keyboard, compared with my old laptop). Touchscreen is good, I have experienced no lag from it. The laptop is also lightweight as advertised, I can lift it with one hand, no problem. The keyboard backlit keyboard is good, you can clearly see it even in the dark at 60%. The laptop is slightly curved at the edges, although a subtle feature, it looks very sleek and nice (especially when it reflects from light). Some dislike the speakers, but I love them. They are not that much different from my old laptop's speakers. If you are in a quiet area, the volume is great (I can listen clearly at volume 10/100 in a quiet area and it still sounds sharp/loud). If you are in a loud area, it can get difficult to hear whatever you're trying to listen to (even at full volume). But that can all be fixed with wearing headphones! For reference there are 3 speakers, one long one and two small ones. Brightness is good too, I have never needed to be at full brightness yet, let alone using the "Outdoor brightness" feature. Not a huge nor interesting pro, but the packaging of the laptop is very well packed. CONS: The fan for this laptop is in the back, which may overheat easily if the laptop is not placed on a flat surface/no ventilation (i.e., on your lap). This laptop is made out of mostly metal so be advised that it may overheat sometimes but it generally isn't serious. Compared to the ion, this laptop has no hook, so overheating may happen easier. The touchpad is automatically set to be pretty sensitive, but that can be easily fixed in settings. The right and left click of the touchpad sometimes miss click to right/left. This results in having to click far right/left. Also the keyboard, while it is pretty silent (click noises are not loud), the pieces feel "cheap", like plastic-metal material. They feel as though they might pop out if excessively used. I don't know if others keep their laptop plugged in throughout the night, but if you do, there is no light that will tell you when it is fully charged (keeping it plugged in and "overcharging" is not good for the battery). I think because of its light weight, it is not capable of opening the laptop with one hand; You will need to hold the bottom and open the top with your other hand. If you are not fond of small arrow keys, this one feature will tick you, the arrow keys are smaller than the regular keys. There is no numeric keypad, the numbers are across at the top. The camera is 720p, but it still looks a little fuzzy [not super sharp]. If you are not a Samsung user, it may irritate you that there are Samsung apps and features pre-installed. There are slots at the sides and I am not sure what they are for... The charger is a standard charger. The tip of the charger to plug into the laptop is very small and it may be difficult to plug in (at least to me, it is). Shortcuts like "Home, Pg Up, Pg Down, and End" will need to be used with pressing the Fn button or locking the keyboard to Fn Lock. It was a little irritating first using it because my old laptop didn't need Fn to use those shortcuts, but now I mostly use the touchpad to scroll. If you are mostly in a dark setting and enjoy really low brightness, this laptop will not give that. With a QLED display, it does not get ridiculously dark. Overall, there are good and bad things about this laptop, just like every other laptop. It's what you are willing to compromise with.
