    Samsung Doesn't Honor the Warranty!!!

Was excited about having purchased this laptop in Nov 2021, but Samsung let me down and would not honor the warranty. The Wi-Fi adapted stopped working around the end of Mar 2022. Twice the Samsung authorized service center kept claiming there was nothing wrong. Both Samsung and the service center ignored the printouts of the network adapter diagnostics I provided to both of them three times. Makes me wonder if I should terminate my loyalty to Samsung???

Always treated the laptop with absolute care and one time I just opened it up and there was a large crack along the screen. It still worked fine but after a couple of weeks, the touch screen just started randomly activating around the crack making it completely unusable. Then, the screen just eventually cracked more near the curve when I tried to deactivate the touch screen by pressing down near it. While all this is happening, Samsung's website is never working properly and filing a warranty report just gives an error message, making it impossible for me to get this fixed and therefore having wasted $1500 on it.

So I got this Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 to replace my last convertible that I handed down. First this thing looks really good! The design and feel are really nice! It’s slimmer than my old convertible while having a bigger screen. It is a bit slippery. Yes I know it’s a laptop but it’s also a tablet and in that mode it can be a bit of a handful to hold. Performance far exceeds my needs for basic laptop use (email, web browsing and simple office type work.) So for its performance is great with the Intel Corei7 and 16gb of ram. Start up was fast once all the Windows updates were done. Programs loaded fast and switching between was as well. The AMOLED screen is gorgeous! Pics really don’t do it justice. Videos and pictures look great on it. The included S pen is nice and it’s size make it comfortable and easy to use. Pen input worked well while doing some simple coloring and notes. The only down side is that there isn’t a way to attach the S pen to the laptop. I’m guessing because of its size which helps with it’s usability but it would be nice to have something on the laptop to hold it. Touch input was also extremely smooth almost like using a huge Samsung Galaxy phone lol I’m not much of a gamer but I did download Asphalt 9 legends to see how the Galaxy Book Pro would do? I was able to play with the highest settings with no lag or stuttering at all. The screen really shines here. I didn’t have a controller to use so played in tablet mode. This thing is on the bigger side of course so it does make it challenging to play on but doable. If your in the market for a 15.6” convertible you should definitely put the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 on your short list!

I saw the 1 star review complaining about the hinges, so I decided to write my own review. After a week of putting it through its paces, I can say the hinges are just fine. They feel sturdy, and I have had no issues with using the laptop in tablet mode. This is the laptop to beat in this category as far as I'm concerned. It's light - 3 lbs - when most 2 and 1's are in the 3.5 to 4.5 lbs range. It does have a plastic case instead of metal, so I guess that's one way it cuts down weight. If you want to see the difference, compare the weight of 3 pints of water to 4-5 pints. I didn't think a pound would make a difference until I compared a 15.6 Lenovo to this one. The Lenovo is nice if it's going on a desktop, but as a tablet, it's quite heavy, especially when compared to my iPad Pro. I have my power set to "silent" mode, and it is very, very quiet. I can't hear the laptop fan over the ceiling fan in my office. The fan on "best performance" mode is not loud, but it has a pitch which bothers the tinnitus in my ears a little. So far, I haven't needed to use performance mode because everything runs fast in silent mode. Battery life in silent mode is about 10-12 hours. Charging is fast too. About 45 minutes of charging will get me 6-8 hours of usage. If you are comparing the 10th edition i7 laptops to the Evo 11 edition i7 laptops, spend the extra few hundred bucks to get the Evo laptop. Intel has managed to combine much faster performance with 2-3 times the battery life compared to the 10th edition CPUs. With this laptop having 16 GB compared to 8 or 12 GB on most 10th gen laptops and having a 1 TB NVMe SSD compared to 512 GB SSD on the 10th gen laptops, you are getting a lot more ram and a much faster and larger disk. In some cases, the disk is about 10 times faster than 10th gen laptops. Last but not least, the AMOLED screen is simply gorgeous. HDR video sources have true blacks, and the colors are vivid. Samsung includes a utility for configuring the AMOLED screen for different uses. This is hands down the best laptop screen I've ever seen. If you are an artist, this is the laptop for you. If you want performance, long battery life, and lightweight, this is the one to buy. I usually prefer Lenovo for 2 and 1's, but they've got some catching up to do to equal this Samsung.

I bought this laptop knowing it was in an Open Box condition, but I did not expect this: the computer was still under the previous owner's account. Best Buy did not factory reset this thing. Luckily I knew how but that's not the proper way to do business. Also, the S Pen is missing! I'm hoping Best Buy gives me a brand new one at no cost since this laptop was supposed to come with one. The laptop itself was in good condition.... at least from what I can see

Unfortunately, this laptop is poorly designed. Initially, i liked how thin it was... but after less than a year, the screen has developed a hairline crack just from opening the lid. The screen is too thin and the hinges too stiff. So lifting it open has caused it to develop a crack. I tried working with Samsung on this issue but they refuse to acknowledge the design flaw even though so many customers are experiencing this same issue. I fild a conplaint with the BBB but again they refuse to acknowledge it. I would recommend looking at another product instead if this one.

To get this machine you need to know what you want. It is ridiculously thin and light for a foldable machine and to be fair I was asking a lot for a 2 in 1. I wanted feather light in a 2 in 1 design so i'd use it more, good screen clarity and size so I wouldn't have to squint and power so I wouldn't be seeking a replacement in a year or two. Size: The 15" give me the view size I was looking for. The SuperAmoled screen is bright, colors are vivid and the 15" allows for a numeric keypad which i always love when doing spreadsheets and give more a regular keyboard feel. The whole laptop is literally the thickness of my S21 phone which is ridiculous when you think about and this plays to my 'portability' that I was looking for. The amazing part is that it doesnt sacrifice much in the way of strength. You'd think something so thin and light would be susceptible to a lot of flex, this doesnt. The size does come a price. It is boarderline 'heavy' mind you this is much less than most all others at this size and class. I'll get to the trade offs in the other sections. Design: The 2 in 1 design allows a lot of flexibility, laptop when you need, tablet when you want to be mobile, tent when you are wanting to just watch your show. It does make a difference with how you interact with the machine in tent mode vs laptop mode. Having the keys behind makes it more like a 'media' device and less than shoe horning in 'im just watching on my laptop' The fingerprint sensor is located at the upper right hand side of the keyboard which is great and bad in that makes it easy to turn the machine on and off in any more... the caveat.. you can hit it while holding it as a tablet. The flip side is that is goes from cold boot in maybe 4 seconds? It also has a great feature that auto boots whenever you open the laptop and gives you the option to turn it off. This next part is a mixed bag for me, the S-pen. Smooth, great to hold and doesnt have a battery that will go bad. It connects to the back of the lid by magnet but still sits outside the machine, i am so spooked im going to lose it. The magnet grab is strong but you put it in a bag, it will slide off. The pen makes interacting with the touch screen much easier than my old touch screen laptop. Performance: Well, this is a mixed bag as I havent had the chance to push the machine yet. I did have it on a dock running 4k streaming on 3 monitors, but for whatever reason when I plugged it in again. It decided I was cheating and wont do it again. Not sure if it is a driver thing or the thunderbolt connection decided that I was cheating and cut me out. I will be most put out if this is the case as my 8th gen i5U dell runs them fine. This machine runs the 11th gen i7G series mobile processor which in single core processing is a little bit of a beast. But multicore, forget it. I am pretty sure the other 3 cores are just rooting for the 1st core to do all their work and take credit for it. There are multi modes that allow you to thru the power up, fan on and all which can be a little turbo fan and not quiet at all, which if you are cranking work, you may not care much about if you have headphones on. I haven't played or installed any games but in other reviews have seen that is can do low to maybe mid setting depending on the game and generation of game. So what's input like? The key travel is smooth and well placed. 13 and 14" machines I always seem to mistype from cramped keyboards. There is a back light you can adjust but has been fine for my use. Here is my love hate for a machine of this type. it should be useable.. interfaces simple and usable. There are three ports USB C and one thunderbolt (which other designs like yoga 9i has several thunderbolts) basically the thunderbolt pushes out a ridiculous level of data while being able to also supply power... yea pretty cool. and also means you can charge from either side of the machine. This is enough to push 2- 4k screens at 60hz refresh rate while running all your other ports too. But I always feel I'm going to break it. Apple uses the mag safe connectors which is genius and samsung should get on board or at least create a 90 degree environment so the cable runs with the machine not perpendicular to it. There is micro sd slot which is nice but realistically with they fit an HDMI and a USB A port for regular devices so i wouldnt have to bring a hub, thus defeating the ultra portability of the device. Sound out of the box is bad at best. Goto dolby settings and change that immediately, then the machine sounds reasonably loud for a device of this size. The screen is clear but note it is only a 1080p screen not 4k so things are not as crisp as they could be but the Super AMOLED screen (the same on their phones) is great if you dont want hi res. The samsung preinstalled software is pretty cool for pen interface and security (one touch turn mic and camera off) All in all a good machine. Time will tell how It really performs there are other similarly performing machines in this price class so pro: lightweight, bright and verstile with enough power to get you through your day (no idea how they get 20 hours when i was maybe 8) easy to use. Cons: decent power under the hood but no warhorse of a machine for sure, loud fan when it turns on, no place to put the pen and limited ports that i feel I am going to break things. Also the mystic blue... FINGERPTINT MAGNET... not gonna stay that beautiful blue color.. get over it. Hope this helps you figure if this is the machine for you.

Pros Super amoled inky blacks Sturdy chassis Extremely thin and light Includes USB-C and a Thunderbolt Charges with USB-C Included charger is Gallium Nitride Lid automatically turns system off and on Good keyboard Includes number pad Good touchpad Some provided apps are useful Touchscreen Extremely small bezels Stylus included Fast fingerprint scanner Stable screen during usage despite thinness Tons of features compliment a Galaxy phone Switchable cooling profiles for performance or silence Cons Anemic downward firing speakers Battery life much shorter than stated Drivers still not stable Screen has a lot of glare Blue finish is a fingerprint magnet Includes bloatware with separate app store 1080p resolution on large screen reduces sharpness No storage for stylus Rubber tip on stylus doesn’t feel natural and catches dirt “Pro” version comes with Windows 10 “Home” 16:9 ratio feels extremely long in tablet mode Large bottom chin Lackluster webcam No Windows Hello Camera Poor touchpad palm rejection when typing Zero key in non-standard place on number pad Minor OLED PWM screen flicker The Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 looks to have chosen to compete in the upper range of 2-in-1 Ultrabooks. Samsung’s focus with this seems to be thin and light with heavy integration to add value if you have a Galaxy Phone. It’s not to say you can’t use those features without one, but their functionality is enhanced when you do. Design and Features The design is extremely thin and deceptively light and very understated with only the Samsung logo embossed and two removeable stickers below the keyboard. In fact, it’s so thin it would be near impossible to house a standard USB port. Instead, it has 2 USB-C ports, one USB-C/Thunderbolt port, and a micro-SD card slot. If you still have standard headphones, you will be happy to hear it still has a headphone jack. Despite being so thin, the metal chassis makes it feel stronger than it you would expect. There is some minor deck flex in the keyboard, the center of the bottom panel flexes, and the bottom center of the screen also flexes but those areas don’t seem to be noticeable during regular usage. You can pick it up from a corner and it will hold it’s shape without warping. The power button doubles as a fingerprint reader as the webcam does not support Windows Hello. In the box is a stylus which has a slightly rubbery texture, USB-C charging cable, and power adapter. The power adapter is so small it seems to be gallium nitride which means even though it is 65 watts it is nearly the same size as a standard cellphone charger. Setup Once logged in you will find a lot of added apps. Some are bloatware, but a lot are Samsung’s own apps to extend functionality for Galaxy devices much how they do to Android on their phones. Many are nearly identical to their Android counterparts. Some apps are useful, such as a screen recorder or the creative app to go with the stylus while others are questionable at best such as the webcam beauty filters. The good thing is you can fully remove any applications you don’t want. That said, if you daily drive a Galaxy phone many of these apps will enhance the overall experience as you get Dex, Flow, Notes, Gallery, Voice Notes, Nearby Share, and others which directly tie into the Samsung ecosystem. The good thing is if you don’t use them, Samsung seems to have done a good job preventing them from bogging down the system. Performance Initially, performance was hit or miss with random errors and slight instability. After a round of firmware and driver updates the speed and reliability has improved noticeably. Overall performance feels snappy with no unexpected slowdowns. A nice touch is by default. The lid action shuts off the system versus standard sleep so you shouldn’t have it waking up in your bag later. The moment you open the lid the startup feels as instant as if it were in sleep mode. You can quickly log in with the fingerprint scanner, although a Windows Hello Camera would have been nice. The keyboard provides a good travel for the thickness. Keys have a distinct activation point with minimal wobble in keys and some extra travel after activation. Even in long typing sessions it feels comfortable. The main adjustment was the size of the keyboard. Key spacing is a bit different causing a small adjustment period to adapt while the number pad is a different story. If you bought this for the separate number pad and are proficient in 10-key touch, the offset of the 0 key will be frustrating. Instead of 0 being below the 2 or a long button between 1 and 2, it is only under 1. Often when you want to press 0 you end up hitting the decimal point instead. The trackpad inertia is well done feeling very natural making for pleasant usage with no unexpected gesture or click activations. There is a noticeable “rattle” on a tap click. It does cheapen the overall feel, but the consistency suggest it is by design. If there was any criticism about the touchpad, it would be the palm rejection. While updates have improved it, you can still occasionally cause unwanted movement while typing as the system registers your wrists resting on it typing as actual movements. Hopefully, Samsung will improve this during updates but as it stands now the issue is minor. Tablet use is, unsurprisingly, a compromise. The size and 16:9 aspect ratio makes tablet usage workable but not great. The huge chin to one side gives an odd offset feeling and if you put your fingers in that area to hold it you can feel the bezel flexing taking away from the premium feel a bit. While it would be nice if the S-Pen had a way to store it, the extra thickness is appreciated as it makes using the pen more confident. However, the rubberized tip has a bit too much grip. It seems Samsung was trying to provide friction for a more natural writing experience, but the stylus tip rubs enough to catch anything on the screen hindering the overall feel and the rubberized tip doesn’t glide as smoothly as a pen or pencil. What it does offer is a battery free experience with the same menu found on the Note lite that comes up with you click the S-Pen button. While nice, the button is very sleek making it hard to feel exactly where it is located. At 15 inches, using the convertible as an easel would seem a better use case. In that scenario, the main issue is the thinness means you will need to support the screen as your write or draw. Speakers feel like and afterthought on the 360. They are downward firing, but worse is that they don’t even get very loud. In quiet rooms this could be ok, but if you are trying to watch a video and there is any ambient noise it is sometimes impossible to hear particularly on some videos where the gain is set very low. In most cases the audio is good enough, but any Galaxy phone can easily outperform in sound quality and volume. The screen seems the exact opposite. While a 16:10 or 4:3 aspect ratio would have been nice for productivity and tablet mode, the 16:9 is well suited to watching videos. The Super Amoled produces inky blacks. It still exhibits some PWM flicker in certain lighting conditions, but the effect is mild. However, some might think their screen is failing because if this. Areas of the screen can become as dark as the surround bezel and just disappear. Light colors on the black background remain crisp with no unwanted blooming. Colors are accurate but just like Galaxy phones you can set your color profile to your liking. You can choose punchy and vibrant, subtle and accurate, or auto mode which determines the setting for you based on what you are doing. There is a light sensor which can help keep the screen from being too bright in dark rooms or crank the brightness all the way up when outdoors. Outdoors is where this panel struggles the most. While Samsung doesn’t seem to list the maximum brightness, the screen does seem to get bright, but any hope of overcoming bright light or sunlight is diminished by the heavy glare caused by the screen. While the glossy screen looks nice, it means that even in a moderately lit room you effectively have a mirror. In some cases, changing screen angles can alleviate this but just be prepared to accept the glare or possibly add an anti-glare screen protector. In today’s time talking about the webcam seems to be a must. If there was one word to describe the webcam it would be passable. Samsung knows how to make good, compact cameras and the one in this system seems an odd miss. They add beauty modes that seem more of a gimmick but the camera struggles in anything but very bright light and even though only looks workable. It would be fine for video conferencing but not much else. The microphones do work rather well, so that seems to confirm their focus. That said, the poor quality camera does tarnish the overall polish of the otherwise solid system. Final Thoughts There is so much more that could be said about this 2-in-1. Samsung added a ton of features, mostly useful, to enhance functionality and customizability to what is already a nice system even considering the odd compromises. The best way to describe it is if you have ever used a Galaxy phone. While they duplicate features, it’s often because they are improving them. Much like their newer phones, the additions on the Galaxy Book Pro 360 don’t seem to come with much, if any, performance hit. If you own a Galaxy phone that you are happy with and you are in the market for a laptop or 2-in-1, the Galaxy Book Pro 360 would be a nice fit. For others, it should be on your short list of choices as Samsung has done a nice job of making a solid, high performance 2-in-1 Ultrabook.

This Samsung laptop gives a snappy performance with the I7 Intel EVO processor, 16gb ram, and has 1Tb SSd, for a ton of storage. Amoled touch screen and 2 in 1 capability, and includes a stylus. The Amoled screen is very vivid - can almost be too vivid - however, this can be modified with video settings. And, being an amoled screen makes this excellent for watching videos or movies. Has an excellent backlit keyboard with very little light bleed from under the keys. Sound output was quite reasonable for a laptop. This is great for all every day computing needs, but will not run much of any games. I will add, the computer is a fingerprint magnet. Being a Samsung, it is a bit pricey, but if you can score one on sale price - grab it!

I think that this is the most enjoyable windows experience that I've ever had! I am a Mac user and wanted a laptop that would provide a different experience. An Amoled touch screen display, pen support and a TB of space to download 20 years worth of my itunes library. Well this PC has exceeded my expectations in every way. This 15.6" display is gorgeous. I have read reviews saying that because of the absence of a 4k resolution the display is lacking and is only capable of 1080p output. Let me say that I love streaming and downloading all kinds of media and have found the color saturation and clarity of this display is one of the best that I have ever seen on a laptop. It is also easy on the eyes. I have also read reviews saying that there is no internal storage for the pen. This is true, but it is magnetic and can attach nicely to the lid of the display when needed. This laptop is so incredibly thin and light, it was just not possible to provide internal storage for such a natural sized pen. As for speed and performance, this machine does not skip a beat. I have been able to do all kinds of multitasking, gaming, web browsing, video chatting and even tried drawing on it, which was so much fun. I have also found that most of the included Samsung software is valuable to me in some ways even though I use an iphone and not android. There is more than enough ram to support having multiple windows open at once, the fans run quietly and the system runs cool. I have not experienced any unusual heat buildup, even with extended use. I recommend buying a cheap laptop chill pad from Amazon (I use a Klim brand) to keep your machine running cool and to boost performance for any laptop, Mac or PC, either way it is a very useful piece of hardware and safeguards your investment. The webcam is 720p and works fine for me. There are useful security features that are built in and it does have the capability to block out background noise. As for the speakers on the device, they are at the bottom of the laptop. Although I wish that they were on the sides of the keyboard instead (front facing), once you activate Dolby sound through the built in Dolby access app and tweak it to your liking the sound that is produced is very nice. I have experience a good surround sound feel when listening to music and sitting in front of the laptop. Another benefit of using a chill pad with this laptop is that it elevates the machine and allows you to hear the sounds better. Everything about this laptop feels premium, you will not find any plastic on this device. I am getting very good, all day battery life with heaving usage. The keyboard is wonderful and spacious to type on and it has a nice big glass trackpad. I have the navy color which I find to be very attractive, the body is crafted in a beautiful aluminum. You will need to purchase a dongle because of the lack of ports. You do get usbc and thunderbolt ports as well as a micro sd card slot. *For anyone who is interested, this machine should be able to run Windows 11 when it is released in the fall, I tested it right away. So far I am a happy customer.

My disappointment with my old original 12” Galaxy Book laptop (slow, heavy, terrible trackpad, and less than 2 hours of battery life at this point) was remedied with this 2021 Galaxy Book Pro 360 model. And the price/value for the high end specs of this new model is unbeatable. The highlight for me is that the battery lasts a full day… Or for most of an international flight. I tested it 3 times this week, and I was able to average 9 hours, 3 minutes on Wi-Fi at 45% brightness (plenty bright for my eyes), simultaneously running Evernote, Chrome, Edge, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Note: Instagram was a huge battery drain on one of these tests, so I disregarded the results of that specific battery test. Bonus: The Pro 360 quick charges from 1-100% in 1:30 with screen off, or in 2:25 with constant use. I love the new bigger S-Pen, the beautiful AMOLED display, excellent trackpad, reliable fingerprint sensor, modern ports, and the efficient yet powerful Intel Evo i7 processer. Backlit keys are also a plus, since my Galaxy Tab S6 keyboard (as well as the Tab S7+ keyboard) is sorely missing this backlit feature. Established Samsung software like S-Notes is better than ever. As far as the new software goes, the much anticipated “Secret Screen” functionality is disappointingly silly (It makes it harder for EVERYONE to see the current window, including the user) and the “Security Camera” keeps crashing, so I’ll probably write off the bulk of the Samsung Security suite as a harmless gimmick. Integration with my Galaxy Note 10+ phone is nearly seamless, although I haven’t yet noticed any closer integration than I already had with my older Galaxy Book laptop using my Note phone’s built in apps like Dex or Link to Windows. Overall, Samsung's software is solid. Only 2 significant quibbles with this wonderful laptop, and they’re specific to my use case: 1. 1 TB of storage not available on the 13.3” model. That’s literally the only reason I sprang for the 15.6” model. I would’ve preferred something smaller, for traveling. But as stated, this bigger model is plenty lightweight. 2. No detachable screen, like my original Galaxy Book. Full disclosure: I was actually in the market for a Microsoft Surface Pro detachable laptop both now, when I bought this Galaxy Book Pro 360… and also a few years ago, when I bought my original Galaxy Book. But both times, value won out over form (And battery life for the Surface Pro 7 is reportedly atrocious). Summary: All day battery life, the value for the specs is absolutely unbelievable, the AMOLED screen is a feast for the eyes, and the size/weight ratio is unbeatable. This is a keeper.

I recently purchased the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 laptop in Mystic Navy and I have to say, I'm extremely impressed. The AMOLED touch-screen display is stunning and makes everything look so much more vivid and bright. The Intel Evo Platform Core i7 processor is lightning-fast and can handle multiple tasks with ease. The 16GB memory and 1TB SSD provide more than enough storage and speed for all of my needs. I can run multiple programs at once without any lag or slowdown. The Mystic Navy color is also a nice touch, adding a unique and stylish look to the laptop. The 360-degree hinge is a game-changer for me. It allows me to use the laptop in different modes, whether I'm typing away at a desk, watching a movie in tent mode, or using it as a tablet for drawing and note-taking. The build quality is also top-notch and the keyboard is comfortable to type on. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase of the Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360. It's a powerful and versatile laptop that looks great and performs even better. If you're in the market for a new laptop, I would recommend giving this one a look.

Best performance and overall construction for the price. I got it on sale with the additional student discount. Bestbuy has the best prices you'll find for this laptop. I looked around for a couple months before making my purchase and I'm extremely particular on the minor details of the products I buy. Intel Evo i7 and SSD combo is so fast. Shuts down and start up is less than 3 seconds. The fingerprint scanner is makes life so much easier. Keyboard has a nice tactile feel, and the trackpad is amazing. Screen is beautiful, and with the ultra thin bezel makes great use of the space. Thinner than a macbook and the 10-key numpad makes it great for work. Battery life is great too. Very happy with my purchase. But my recommendation is to go see it in person, feel the keys, see the screen, feel the weight etc.. compare it to what else is available, and make sure its what you really like. For an ultralight this was the choice for me. Happy shopping!
