Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 360 Laptop Review

Great laptop so far. Strongly suggest you read the User Manual before you spend too much time "playing" with your new laptop. Learning the basics definitely improves efficiency (e.g. turning off the touchpad makes typing a breeze). The screen is brilliant with extremely wide viewing angle thanks to the AMOLED screen. I expect this screen extends battery life, especially if you select white on black display of documents. Not sure whether battery life meets the Samsung's 15 hours between charges, but it lasts for a longer time than any other laptop I've owned.
Like the touchscreen which makes browsing documents much easier than reading with a mouse based system. Also, the pen works very well - especially hovering over text or pictures that would normally display additional info if one hovered a mouse (or right clicked a mouse). Would be nice to have a place to store the pen in the case, but having such a thin case is amazing, and precludes storing the pen. Since it's magnetic, it's easy to temporarily store on the back of the screen.
Got a good price from a Best Buy sale on the tablet. The combination of 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD makes the laptop very fast! My desktop only has 12 GB RAM and 1 TB hard disk (not SSD), so this laptop races around the desktop in terms of response time.
The cam works well and the mic seems to pick up fine. The one system I'd say is a little disappointing is the speaker system. Speakers are mounted on the bottom, so sound is muffled when the laptop is sitting on a table. I suggest using earphones if you want good sound. Speakers are adequate, but doubt you'll like them in anything but a quiet environment.
Overall... I highly recommend this laptop. I recommend new users add an external DVD/CD-ROM drive with an USB-C to USB connector that allows you to read and write to external media. Also, you can add more memory using a micro SD card... it's pretty easy, cheap way to both increase memory and provide a way to transfer files to/from an external device.

My Precision died and could not be brought back (cost wise), so I decided to replace her with this. At first I looked at others in the price range, and there was really no comparison. The Dells were half what this is, and cost the same. The HP's had similar but way more.
At 2 lbs, this is a very nice 2-in-1. It folds back to use as a tablet, the touchscreen is very nice, and it comes with a stylus. The keyboard is vast and functional, with a numeric pad.. something cut out of the other manufacturers. The mouse pad is huge, as it sits dead middle bottom of the lap, and takes up half the space, without being distracted by palms on it while typing.
Nothing in it is mechanical. All Solid state. So, it is thin.. really thin.
The screen is the best I have seen from a lap in awhile, black is black on here. Not some shaded darker grey from other type screens I have used.
Mine has a Tb SSD. Why would I need that much space? I don't know.. yet. But it's there for me, and I like that idea.
She has two cooling fans for the 11th Gen i7 Evo. Heat is not a problem using this for what it is named.
Wasn't too happy about the color, but gotten used to it. I will say that it shows fingerprints quite well. Rather had the silver, but not disappointed in the least. Treat her well and she will respond in kind.
I have Windows 11 on here. Comes with 10, there's night and day for graphic interface. My Precision had upgraded to 11. There's no going back.
Couple things to consider here with this laptop that might hamper your reasoning:
There is no USB ports, HDMI ports, or SD slots. (There is one SSD tho). This unit is a thunderbird USB-C, the going standard for things now a days, and it makes sense. To use it on a external monitor that will plug in, but with the USB-C to HDMI adaptor, it can. If you like wired headphones, there is not. But, again, there are adaptors that can suit the need. BB sells them both. Or if you one of those with that cell phone, it come with one. My Pixel did.
This is a great buy for what it does, and that it IS a Samsung Galaxy, complete with all the Galaxy software you'd expect, so the quality, alone, is in the name. That and it is a Samsung.

What a great buy!! I am in love with this machine!! I got it open box so price wise that couldn't be beat. I watched and read so many reviews before buying and found most complaints were trivial... and now that I have been using it for about month, they are not things that bother me AT ALL. I don't care about fingerprints on the pretty blue case, that's not what I'm here for.
The battery lasts and lasts, the screen, keyboard and track pad are responsive. I view and mark-up architectural drawings using drawboard and process loads info in large excel files for work, and have no problems flying through this information seamlessly. I don't know how I worked without a touch screen for so long.
My criteria for buying was: At least 15" touchscreen, i7 processor, 16gb memory, 516 ssd and most importantly a number pad, as I work numbers all day... tick, tick.. tick.. plus a few more ticks I didn't ask for like the light up keyboard, flip-able screen ...and it's blue ...and open box deal !(⊙_◎)!??
I used to be so reliant on my mouse, I find that I don't miss it at all between the large trackpad and touchscreen. I didn't get a pen, not included in the open box, eventually I'll get one, but for now I'm fine without it.
Lastly, the plug is transformer soooo TINY!!! it's just a bit bigger than my phone plug, and it charges my phone too super fast!! I really like that there are charging ports on the right and left side of the laptop so that is super flexible and makes my life just that much easier.
If your still thinking about buying or not.. BUY IT.

I love Samsung products especially their galaxy phone and laptops. This laptop is No disappointment and is top of its line. I love how light it is and the display is fantastic. The battery life is great! It connects well with my galaxy S20 and the extra touch of using the stylus. With being such a thin laptop, it's great that it can have 16GB memory and a 1 TB hard drive. Lastly, The speakers are decent for a laptop this thin and light.

I haven't gotten to use the laptop extensively yet, but so far it is fast, lightweight, and very sleek. I have no dislikes except the rearranged number pad which I had seen mentioned in other reviews before purchasing. I think I'll adjust to it as I use it longer, but it's a little awkward at first. Overall I would definitely recommend this laptop for anyone looking for a little more screen (without extra weight) and great performance!

Awesome laptop! Light weight decent battery life. Touch screen is great, flips over into a HUGE tablet. Worth every penny. I've have for about a year now and it's still going strong. Very fast tons of space in the hard drive and still super thin. I love it! Spent a little more the i should have but I've used it almost every day since I've had it, so def a good buy.

I think this laptop is great! It can flip into a tablet. it came with its own magnetic pen. It is very light and slim. The only thing that is not my favorite about it is because it’s slim there is no hdmi output so i had to buy an adapter. and you can’t put a case on it because it flips so the outside gets a little smudgy and you can’t do anything about it. other than that i love. it’s really nice, fast, high powered and definitely worth the price.

Pros: fast, beautiful display and design, S Pen included and works so well, very lightweight, some people think that the keyboard is too shallow but I like it
Cons: no classic USB ports, no slot for S Pen, when I move the screen I accidentally touch it because the frame is so thin, the only way to change volume/brightness is with fn+buttons

I purchased two of the newest Galaxy Book Pro 360 computers this Christmas for my two wonderful daughters and they were absolutely ecstatic. Being thin, lightweight, and extremely fast, they are perfect for their college needs. The computers have been working perfectly, providing the necessary computing power for their studies and other activities. My daughters were both incredibly pleased with my Christmas gift to them, and I couldn't be more proud of them.

This is an awesome laptop. Very sleek yet firm. The 15.6" has a lot of "real estate" and being able to flip it completely over to tablet mode provides a lot of versatility. The battery seems to last forever (moderate use on my part), with a fast charging time. The processor together with the RAM and 1Tb SSD makes this a very fast device. Love it, and would buy it again.

Yeah I'm not sure what people are on about. I've used my laptop every day. It's gone back and forth from school to home and I've folded it back and it's been in just general daily use. No fractures of the screen of any kind. As for the performance and screen quality, performance is great however when playing games the fan gets loud in the high efficiency mode. The screen quality is great not noticing anything crazy with it only being 1080 p 60 and literally to fix the brightness problem just open your Intel xe graphics app and adjust it mine sits at 55 for all and it's plenty bright when the system brightness is 40, so it saves power.

Great 2-1 laptop. Really love this laptop. Display is great, included s-pen is probably twice as wide as what you find with the S21 ultra but perfect for writing on the laptop. It is about the same size as a pencil. Sound is decent and as another reviewer mentioned, make sure to turn on Dolby Atmos thru the Dolby Access app. There is a ton of Samsung apps included. Most are useful especially if you are using a galaxy phone as well. If any app not needed, just uninstall. I have used the MS Yourphone app before and had mixed results, you can definitely tell it has been tweaked, so far has been flawless with my S21 Ultra. If I had any issues it is that some of the Samsung desktop icons are not sharp and crisp looking. I am thinking it is a Samsung scaling issue since the MS ones look great, almost like some are designed for phone and when blown up to laptop size not as clean looking. Assuming an update can fix. Performance has been great, nice and fast. The fingerprint reader is almost flawless. Now the software for the webcam is bad....Hopefully an update will fix because definitely needs it.

This is a pretty good light weight 15 inch laptop that holds enough power to do most common daily tasks like browsing the web, checking email, and watching videos for about 9-10 hours on a full battery with around 50-75% brightness.
And due to the amoled display, you can expect one of the brightest and most vivid screens with good colors, although the 1080p screen is a little disappointing, as i would have liked to have had 4k display model as a choice. I still like the screen and it’s good enough for me.
The screen is a touch capable and comes with an s-pen. The screen folds all the way to the back allowing a tablet like experience which you can use to write notes or draw.
The screen uses wacom digitizer technology (emr) so if you are an artist, this is the one of the only current laptops available that would give you the experience of a cintiq, or mobile studio pro.
I’ve highly disliked microsoft’s mpp which is used by the surface line and the majority of laptops with pens. They are clunky, create jittery lines, and have connectivity issues. And with the s-pen, At least i know I’ll have the best experience for an artist currently available.
When it comes to gaming and running certain professional programs for creative work the battery doesn’t last as long, so you can expect anywhere from 2-8 hours when doing those processes.
With the i7 11th gen processor, i wouldn’t expect the best triple a gaming, but you might be able to run them on low; however intel probably has one of the best intergrated graphics available on the market today, and they have come a long way to the point where i can play gta v close to 60 fps for an enjoyable experience.
And with thunderbolt 4, i’ve been able to use a egpu along with it to give it the power of a gaming computer, so i can run anything i want to throw at it, if the intergrated graphics are not enough.

I have been an owner of Samsung phones and tablets for about 10 years, and they have always been excellent products. This laptop is no different. Sure, there is some stuff that comes with it built in from Samsung but it doesn't;t seem as bogged down with bloatware as HP laptops (which are the only laptops I have ever owned until this unit). I do also like the ability to easily communicate with my Samsung tablet and phone with the laptop - not surprising that it has this functionality. So far, this has been an excellent laptop. The keyboard feels great, love the big touchpad and the ability to turn it off easily. Its wifi is excellent as is the screen the weight. Just a really good laptop. Maybe the best I have ever owned.
FYI: Use it for personal and online education.
FYI 2: the fan will kick on at certain times here and there if I am doing something 4 or 5 things that are intensive, but I think that is understandable.

Beautiful display, light, fast, and easy to use. I dislike how many adapters I need to connect it to my monitors and keyboard, but that is an easy fix. It also has a very slick exterior and slides around my desk easily- will need to by a mat to fix that as well.
