I am very happy with the Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 laptop from Samsung. I have been a Samsung customer for years and got the good quality I have always expected. What I did New was I did my research online, check to see what was available at my local Best Buy store, purchased it online and then went and picked it up at the store. I had never done that before and it was really nice and hassle free. I love my laptop!

Purchased this laptop in July 2024. Had almost everything I was looking for in a new laptop - except the amount of RAM I wanted. But I was willing to compromise because of other features.
I use this daily and take excellent care of my devices. This normally sits on my desk, and when I transport it, it resides in my Swissgear laptop bag. I am not rough with my devices. 6 months in - the glass develops a crack along the left side up to the top. It doesn't impair use but only looks bad. The display and touch screen still work. Samsung says the issue was from physical damage. Tons of other users say otherwise. This is a well-known defect in the laptop. Documented on numerous websites and forums including Samsung Community. They have "offered" for me to send it in (2 weeks turnaround) to be evaluated and potentially repaired. Samsung chat initially declined it would be covered under warranty, but when I pressed and showed other documented cases of the same issue the chat rep said it would be covered. Other users have had their screens replaced under warranty to only have the issue reappear. Extremely fragile screen design.

This is a great laptop and probably the best 2-in-1 I have owned! The oled screen is great, the speakers were good, the hinge has a good stiffness and that makes drawing with the s-pen amazing!
I dropped a star for it's subpar Linux support. The biggest one being no sound. The camera also doesn't work in Linux (but I don't care about that), and the finger print reader doesn't work but that's par for the course. Otherwise It works great with Linux so far! Gnome is very touch friendly and works great with the touchscreen and large track pad!
Now, I paid full price for this computer in mid March. My return window ended at the end of March and in April it was discounted to $1399 where it still is at the time of this review. Of course they won't do a price match for me. Why would they?
Yes this computer was overpriced at launch which is why I took another star for. I think the new price is a much better value for this laptop! It's just a shame for those of us that paid the original price and won't get compensated because of corporate greed. I would give a 1 star because of their price match policy for this situation, but that wouldn't be fair to the laptop, now would it?

I bought a Samsung Galaxy Pro with a stylist for my granddaughter s graduation
Present. She loves it so much and my experience at Best Buy was exceptional. They guided me thru the process and told me this was a great choice indeed yes it was pricey but I called her other Grandmother and we split the cost. I also have such an old computer that’s so slow and cannot afford one yet. When I can afford it I will go back to Best Buy in Snvl to purchase one Thank u for checking with us. Best Buy is the place to purchase a computer as well as other electronics.

Everything was fine with the laptop. I know it was open box so I expected cosmetic imperfections. Later on I noticed a hairline crack on the top of the screen, so I'm pretty disappointed. On top of that, the return period is over so joke's on me.

Phenomenal! Picked up this Galaxy Book4 Pro 360 from Best Buy, and it's a versatile powerhouse for work, creativity, and entertainment. The Intel Core Ultra 7 with NPU flies through AI-enhanced tasks like Copilot summaries or Photoshop edits, while 16GB RAM and 1TB SSD handle heavy multitasking—think 50+ tabs, 4K video editing in Premiere, and seamless app switching. That 16" AMOLED touchscreen is breathtaking: infinite contrast, 120Hz smoothness, and vivid colors (120% DCI-P3) make Netflix binges or stylus sketching in Samsung Notes feel luxurious. The 360-degree hinge shines for tablet mode, and at just 3.4 lbs, it's ultra-portable with 20+ hours of battery for all-day unplugged productivity. Moonstone Gray finish? Sleek and sophisticated.Best Buy crushed the experience: killer deal with free next-day delivery, in-store setup demo for S Pen integration, and instant My Best Buy points. Their support team even optimized Windows Hello setup remotely. If you need a premium 2-in-1 that blurs laptop-tablet lines, bolt to Best Buy for this Samsung stunner—elegant, efficient, extraordinary. Here's to nailing that review prize! Cheers, Samsung and Best Buy!

Thinnest possible, but might lose S Pen

Overall the Galaxy Book 4 Ultra is almost all the performance most will need from an ultra portable laptop than can convert into the largest tablet you likely have ever used. I doubt any company will make a thinner laptop unless they remove the full size HDMI port. It is possibly thinner than most phones. Thinnest possible part of this laptop is Samsung's AMOLED screen with near perfect image quality you have come to expect from Samsung and their flawless AMOLED screens. In laptop form the Core Ultra 7 processor and 16GB RAM is plenty powerful enough to run most software on the run. For the Book4's second trick, backflip the screen and find your Samsung Pen and you can turn Galaxy Book4 Ultra into a large tablet with possibly the best writing and drawing programs for those with artistic aspirations. Or if just prefer to hand write notes. This tablet has you covered. Bonus, the battery seems to be almost all day ready. AND thank you Samsung for no proprietary chargers. It comes with a wall charger and long USB-C cable to charge right through the USB port...finally, the way it should be.
Noise level:
I have yet to hear this laptop spool up the fans running everyday stuff like internet browsing, dealing with documents and some photo editing. It has fans and you feel the heat slowly leaving directly out the back the laptop just under the screen. So, with one minimal air intake under the keyboard and exhaust out the back. YES, this is a lap capable laptop. And is ultra quiet so far.
Hardware:
Battery is extremely efficient unless you tweak the settings to push the system harder for more demanding tasks. By default, the battery should get all but the most demanding user to the end of the day. I still prefer to shut down system rather than letting it sleep to squeeze a little more battery longevity. Battery life is far better than I have found in previous laptops from other manufacturers. Keyboard Is pretty standard as of late and does not seem to flex at all. Keys feel great and bonus points for having the number pad included. Speakers appear to be stereo down firing from the left and right edges and sound great all the way up to full 100% volume. No crackle or distortion. Just a decent sounding set of speakers, not too bassy. The Screens AMOLED looks perfect when looking at content that shows more colors than real life seems to offer. The AMOLED screen is better than your eyes deserve. And if you use the S Pen. It offers among the best writing and drawing experience I have used recently, But I am no where near an artist who could give better in depth insight from an artist perspective. Finally there is a Windows Copilot key now that brings up the associated Copilot Ai (preview) for questions. I do not think this current Intel chip is Copilot approved, so the press of the key likely still initiates doing the processing power in the cloud and not on the laptop ( I could be wrong). Ai is a quick key press now.
Software:
Not too bloated for a laptop with two massive companies producing a product together. Everything you love and maybe hate is here in Windows 11 and all but copilot seems to be easy enough to tailor or uninstall to make the system your own. Then there are a few Samsung apps to help ease their fans into the ecosystem that they might be familiar with like Bixby, but no TIZEN OS that I am aware of.
Minor niggles:
The S Pen is great. There is just no reasonable placement to not loose the pen if you travel with the laptop. Magnetically it sticks a little to the left/right of the touchpad or the back of the screen. As soon as you slid the laptop into travel sleave/bag, it falls off. The laptop is so impossibly thin there is not much chance for internal storage. Just be ready to possibly loose the S Pen or have a dedicated location for it.
Last thing I want to address. That Ultra thin AMOLED screen is beautiful. I just worry it could be too thin and fragile. Samsung notched the center of the laptop below the touchpad. I assume this is to help make sure you only lift the screen from the center. I just have to get out of the habit of sometimes lifting or pushing from a corner, as this might break the screen.
