Mine did in about 3 weeks with the laptop used as a desktop, never dropped it. Samsung refuses to repair it under the warranty (actually, they notified me that it is now void) because the physical damage (like a cracked screen), in their opinion, can be caused only by the user, not their design defect or faulty screen. And in Samsung's data sheet, it is advertised as: Built for the workday with military-grade toughness. Based on Samsung internal testing result, Galaxy Book Pro passed MIL-STD-810G tests for Drop, High Temp, Low Temp, Thermal Shock, Dust, Vibration, Low Pressure, Humidity. 8The display back cover of Galaxy Book Pro is made with 5000-series aluminum.

Can get hung up when trying to multitask different projects. To top it off--the screen spontaneously developed a complete vertical cracked. This was reported to the manufacturer and the unit was sent back as they directed. Samsung refused to honor the warranty claiming it was "physical damage" and wanted to charge an outrageous amount, more than half the cost of the laptop, for the repair. How does a laptop, used by a single owner, who did not drop it, who has a history of owning laptops and used in a household with no children spontaneosly develop a vertical crack in the screen unless there is MANUFACTURER'S DEFECT?
