Well, coming from someone whose last phone was a $29 LTE this is not a massive jump from that other than it has more storage. So can I justify the $220 more to have this phone? Yes and no. For storage capacity, I absolutely needed more and camera quality is better, though not massively better. But I'm glad I got it, glad I picked the less expensive J series and very happy with its weight and size. Only negative is that battery doesn't last much more than a day. I even shut off my data and use wifi only which added some time to the life of the battery but it is much shorter than my LTE. I really like the Samsung brand over an iphone as my son has one of those and their phones' glass crack if you just look at them too long! JK but I think Samsung is sturdier and easy to use.

I upgraded from a little Nokia 520 that Microsoft no longer supports. My preference in technology is to buy one generation behind the latest to get the best compromise between performance, reliability and price, and this phone seemed ideal to me. I'm very pleased with it. Best Buy offers it with Android 6.0 but mine arrived with 7.0. Once you do the housekeeping to dump the promotional ware it functions extremely well. I'm used to using a cell to make calls only when I have to and most of the time for navigation but this phone begs to be used for more. (After loading the Amazon Kindle app it looks as if my tablet is just about obsolete.) I like the big display which makes the keyboard and icons much more finger friendly. Minor gripes- the earbuds and charger that come with it seem like bottom end items, and the user manual seems to be online only.

Setup was easy and straight forward. The camera works really well at this price point. The internal storage could be bigger but that can easily be expanded with the SD card slot.

This is a great phone with the features of phones like the S6 and S7. Great camera and a good amount of memory. It allows you to add an SD card so you are able to expand its memory. Great phone for those who want all the features of an expensive phone but for an affordable price.

This phone is a medium class, good quality cell phone! Works well, and the 3 GBs of RAM do a nice job!

Since I am retired I was looking for a less expensive phone with some of the latest high tech features. I was also looking to buy outright at a good price. This phone fit the bill. The change over from my old phone was very easy. Have not used all the features yet but I am very happy so far. Resolution on the screen is very good.

this phone has a great camera big screen 5.5 and lite

Didn' realize this phone didn't have LED notification. The camera takes clear photos so far. A little difficult to snap screen shots. Phone is simple to use overall.

I had a older Samsung phone that I really liked but it was time to upgrade. I chose the J7 Prime and I am very happy with it. It has a nice size screen and works easily for texting with my larger hands. The camera takes great quality photos.

ALTHOUGH IT IS NOT THE MOST REQUESTED TELEPHONE, IT COVERS ALL THE EXPECTATIONS AND NEEDS, VERY RECOMMENDED IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO SPEND A LOT.

It’s was a gift to a friend .. I think it’s working well till now .. just finding a case is difficult

Great phone but has some features that you don't use

I tried this phone instead of an iPhone but, even though it's good, can't say I'm completely pleased. Probably if you are an android user already you would like it.
