I had people ask me if I felt that the phone is too bulky to comfortably handle but I've found that I like it better than smaller phones and it's not as akward to hold as you might think. My wife, in particular, doesn't like big phones because she has smaller hands but she ended up getting the S3, which she says is just the right size for her, and the Note II is not much bigger than the S3. The fact is, I'm rather enjoying the generous sized screen for viewing videos, larger text on web pages & messages, and a larger surface for the touch screen keyboard which makes typing much easier especially with the SWYPE feature. Another item of interest is the Wi-Fi reception on the phone which is almost as good as my laptop. With an extended Wi-Fi range I can use my home internet or public hotspots at my favorite places to save my usage on my phone's data plan & avoid overages. The 8 megapixel camera is also pretty impressive with a zero delay shutter (takes a shot as soon as you touch the picture button without that annoying 3-5 second delay) and one of the best panorama programs I've seen to date built right into the settings. The HD video recording capabilities aren't a slouch either with full 1080p quality and an HDMI output to instantly view your productions right on a large screen TV or projector. Also, the included LED flash is incredibly bright and doubles as a very effective flashlight in a pinch. The speed and stability of this device blew me away. I recently purchased a quad-core tablet that I love but I discovered that my phone loads & runs apps surprisingly faster and unlike my tablet I haven't had to reboot it due to lockups or slow performance. The included S-pen adds functionality that allows for more creative and personalized uses. You can take notes, create realistic drawings, and you can quickly switch from pen to eraser or custom cut anything you see on the screen to the clipboard using the conveniently located button on the pen itself. The software also includes handwriting recognition which converts your notes to text as your write and even recognizes symbols like hyphens and dollar signs. The other great thing about having a larger device is the extra space to carry a larger battery. The included 3100 mAh lithium-ion battery allows me to use the phone throughout my work-day without having to charge it and still has about 50-60% battery life by the time I'm ready to head to bed. It also as a one-click battery saving mode in the settings that intelligently turns off and then reactivates features as needed. Another cool feature included is the S-voice app which is similar to the SIRI program included with iPhones. You can use your voice to activate the GPS navigator for driving directions, have your messages read to you, send text messages, check the weather or even tell jokes and this hand-free assistant is only one click away when used with a bluetooth headset. Additionally, most phones only take up to a 32 gigabyte micro SD card but this phone is rated to at least a 64 gigabyte card which provides more space to record HD video, take high res photos, and add music, movies, or voice recordings. Unfortunately, the phone hasn't allowed me to install or move apps to the SD card and I haven't found an app yet that will allow me to do it but from what I've heard most devices with the Jellybean 4.1 operating system have the same issue. I imagine though it won't be long before there's an update or app available to resolve this issue. Other than that, the phone has been great. Keep an eye out for the price to drop on the S3 and Note II due to the upcoming S4 and the Note III releases.

Absolutely love this phone. Don't let the large size sway you. I quickly got used to it and video watching is a real pleasure. You'll be teased by iphone fans, but even they love the video. The S pen is very handy for note taking, especially when you want to write down info from a phone call in progress. Very fluid and responsive writing. Not all apps will open in dual window format. Hopefully with software upgrades that will change. Would like to see calendar app and S pen open together. This phone does A LOT, all most too much. But watching how-to videos on Youtube will allow you to find new ways to use the features. The battery life is like that of a tablet. I have yet to use a car charger or wall charger at work (14 hour days). Check out Google Listen to load 20K of your songs to the cloud for free. I've replaced my mp3 player with this phone.

this phone has helped clear things out of my purse and car and fits in my pocket! My contacts, phone and email; my to-do-lists, grocery list, etc and with "paper and pen" always on hand; maps and gps always ready to help me locate a store or drs. office; child has a question about homework or if I need an idea for a quick, easy dinner Google search always handy to help find the answer; my calendar which I can view everybody's appts. and hubby can check right from his work desktop; great "toy" ready with so many free game apps; amazing sound thru my earpiece listening to some tunes while waiting for a child to finish with their activity and able to multi-task updating my calendar and to-do-list all at the same time; camera to record the unexpected so quickly and beautifully; ALL this and the battery is able to keep up and stay strong through my whole day is what I call money very well spent. As for the size, one quicklly gets used to it, especially my eyes are thankful that i don't have to squint as much.

This is a terrific phone. I'm really happy with it and I am very picky about my phones. The display is very detailed and colorful and thankfully not a Pentile display, which I simply don't like the look of. This phone comes installed with Android's "Jellybean" software version which includes Google Now. This is Android's answer to Siri and works very well. You can use normal speech to look up information, set appointments, navigate to a destination, etc. The speaker is loud and clear when using it to watch videos, play music, or when using your phone as a speakerphone. The battery life has never been a problem for me, my phone has lasted at least 16 hours before I've had to charge it. This is with a lot of use on 4G, texting, making phone calls, and streaming video and music. I was worried that the big screen would suck up the battery life, but Samsung put a high capacity battery in that is sufficient to last all day long. The S-Pen is one thing that really makes this phone stand out above all other phones. I love having easy access to writing down a quick note when I need it. The hand writing recognition is amazing. You can also hover over photo albums and to get a preview of what's inside, same with videos. You can hand write emails if you'd like or draw a picture for someone. You can write on the back of photos to add a personal touch. There are a ton of vids online about the S-Pen features so I won't keep going, but it to me is a big reason why I wanted this phone over all others. If you are interested in this phone I highly recommend going to the store to handle it in person. The size would be the only thing that would hold you back. If you can deal with it you cannot go wrong with this phone. I was worried about the size until I saw one in person and I couldn't be happier with my purchase. I wish you knew me in person to know how much I've been frustrated with my past few phones so you knew how good this phone must be to make a picky person like me happy. Check out the size and then buy this when you see it's not that bad. After two weeks you'll laugh that it was ever a concern. And then you'll laugh at how small everyone else's phone are. :) 5 stars out of 5!!!

I can't think of anything that this phone dont do. The camera is excellent. I can download movies then transfer it to my television. I love that feature the most. It has a really fast processor and I use it to get emails from all my accounts. If you're looking for a phone that functions like a computer then this is the phone for you. The S pen feature is also neat. I'm still learning how to use all of its features hut from what I've learned so far I jus love it out of all the phones I've had this one is by far the best... hands down!

Firstoff let me start by saying i don't like that phone I LOVE IT can't go wrong with it it says it has a 8mp camera but the quality is outstanding ot also has a built in shutter shot feature hold down the button and u can take 20 action shots instantly I love the screen size because can I watch videos on my phone another at work or just being lazy on the couch while espn is on the battery life is crazy 23 hours if u dim ur brightness max brightness I believe it's like 14 indoor you don't need it super bright so the only time it's maxxed it when I'm outside so it's not an issue for me the processor and ui is very easy to use and powerful android and samsung left no stone unturned while making the phone I was hesitant to get this phone or any phone really I had a thunderbolt for a few years n it was perfect to me so once I was back in the market for a new one I looked at them and 80 percent don't have expandable memory for me that's a violation of phones especially so it was pretty easy to make this decision with the quad core processor and other features I was sold and after handling it I fell I love multitude of features include picture n picture you can text and watch videos etc at the same time my girlfriend had the s2 an currently has the s4 I stayed away because of user reviews and there a pain in the butt when integrating with other devices like my computer also the note 2s screen is slightly bigger I don't really use my stylus but I've found some apps I use it for now all and all I'd recommend this phone to anyone can't express enough how much I enjoy this phone

I have been an Android user for a few years. Own an Ipad and Macbook but prefer the Android phones! The Note 2 is Wonderful. I love the size. Things are so easy to read. Great for photos, video and note taking. Voice recognition is excellent for texting. The battery life is Great, which was a serious problem with my last phone. Sometimes I forget to plug in at night and I can still get through the next day. This is using phone, texting, reading emails ,Facebook, and web surfing /plus GPS when I need to. I haven't used the pen too much, still getting all the options understood . Whenever I pull this phone out I get compliments. Was torn between the Slll and the Note 2....very happy with my decision! Did I say I LOVE the size:)

Love the phone! Best phone I've owned thus far (4th smartphone). The processor can take anything you can throw at. Love all RAM that comes with it. S pen is great for surfing the web and diagramming. Wife and I are often doing diy projects and its convenient to not take notes and measurements on paper, but rather the phone. I literally love everything about the phone, except for the camera. The camera is the only thing keeping this thing from being a legend. The camera is great for still images, but that's it. Snap a pic of anything that's moving and you'll get a blurry pic every time no matter what the settings are. Takes great video though. All the gestures that Samsung built in are amazing. I don't know why these gestures aren't built into all android phones. You get use to the phone size real quick. The Verizon stamp on the button becomes less and less obvious the more you use it. I can see why Verizon stamped the button though. I put a flip cover on my phone and if it were not for the stamped button, there would be no carrier branding visible.

Excellent product!! Technically no issues at all. Battery lasts 2 days for me. The large screen is great for surfing the web or using the GPS. I also love the pen, I would never buy a phone before without a qwerty keyboard because I could not use a virtual keyboard. The pen is great for the virtual keyboard and for quickly jotting down notes. It is awesome how the phone converts what I write into text!!

I take lots of pictures, I use the calender about 50 times per day, the phone never drops a call, the apps are awesome for the note 2, the pen on the note is so much fun to use when you understand how to use it...cannot put it down. This phone rocks, multi-tasking has never been so easy!!

I love this phone. It is like having a laptop with you. I can do anything I want with it. I haven't even begun to utilize all it's abilities. I can see where this would be a great phone for a business person when they were away from the office. I love all the storage. Great battery life for all that I do with it. I work 13 hour shifts and it has yet to go below 70% from 6 am to 10 pm. Great reception. The phone is sleek and slim. I want the large screen so I am not bothered by the footprint of the phone. I got a great case for it, that actually added a little heft to it and I like it even more! My favorite phone ever!

After researching phones for some time, my husband decided on this phone. I was very hesitant to buy one for myself due to the very large size. I was thinking it would be too big for my purse or pocket and difficult to purchase accessories and cases. Also, I was skeptical about the battery life on a phone with such a huge screen. Well, I went ahead and bought one for myself and hesitantly brought it home with me. I love this phone! It is amazing! Yes, it is huge. Yes, it is too big for the phone pocket in my purse. It does not fit in any pocket very well. The features and battery life on this phone completely outweigh those negative points. This is the first Samsung device I've purchased and I love it. It will usually go a couple days between charges and that is with moderate to heavy use. I've also found myself skipping the laptop to look up items quickly on my phone. The screen is large enough and it has a great picture. I have nothing but positive things to say about this device. It was worth the money and I look forward to using it for a very long time :)

The accessories I researched, highly reccommend and bought from Best Buy are: 1. The OtterBox Defender Series case for Maximum Protection of an Expensive Phablet such as the Galaxy Note II 2. The Bose Bluetooth Headest Series 2 (right/left) beacsue it's Bose, light weight, easy to pair,and excellent sound qualty on both ends of conversation even in noisy environments 3. The SanDisk - Ultra 64GB microSDXC Class 10 Memory Card because I use my Galaxy Note II for Business and Personal use such as: Pictures, Movies, Videos, Large Documents, and my Clients Business receipts 4. The Square Card Reader basically lets me accept my clients credit card payments which connects to my Galaxy Note II's headphone jack

This phone is incredible! I use this phone for everything from day to day activities to running a multi million dollar business. Every aspect of the galaxy note 2 is impeccable. I would say it is the most universal phone on the market. It runs like a computer, phone and tablet all in one. I recommend this phone to anyone who is looking for the phone that does it all. The size may come off as "too big" but when you start using it all of the other phones will be too small and won't be able to compete. After I got this phone my mother and her best friend got it and they came from a blackberry and a flip phone... if they can make the change you can too.

This is a great phone. It's not for everyone as it is really big and if you use a full case it's even bigger. But for me it's more than worth it. The large screen is great and the added features more than compensate for the extra weight. It still fits in my pocket which is great. I was a little hesitant to get a phone with a stylus but once you get used to using it you can't put it down!

I wasn't worried that the phone would be too big because I came from an HTC Thunderbolt, which was quite large. I absolutely love the options you get with the S-pen, and the split screen applications so I can watch a video and surf the net at the same time. And fast...this phone keeps up. The battery typically lasts me 2 days, but I'm on wi-fi most of the time. Only complaint is the sound when playing music in earphones or through my car speakers is not as high a quality as my Thunderbolt was. But overall, I'm glad I picked this phone for my next two years of use.

My wife and I both got one of these on the same day and these phones are absolutely awesome. The screen size is perfect for watching videos, the camera on the phone is super clear. The call clarity is spectacular, except for every once in a while we get some feedback and we hear ourselves when we are talking. The battery is great, only has to be chared once a day depending on use of course, but most days I can go 16-20 hours on a single charge. I am an over the road truck driver and this phone is great to use a backup gps. I cannot wait to see the improvements that can be made with the Note III although I will have to wait two years to try that one.
