It serves no professional purpose
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you're looking for something to waste time by browsing the internet, looking at pictures, or watching videos, then get something cheaper. I purchased this tablet for 2 reasons. I wanted to use the S-Note software because it was functional and efficient on my previous Galaxy Note, and I wanted to use some version of Office software. The S-Note software is slow, and there are less functions. Hancom Office is absolute garbage! I've only tried to use their version of Word, and you can't save any document you create. What's the point of making a document that can't be saved?

Not a great choice for portability
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The tablet is too big and heavy I'm an iPad user and switching to this was not a good change. Although I'm a Samsung galaxy note user the tablet was not a great choice.

Excellent Tablet for evey need.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is truly a great tablet, the only negative I have about this tablet is the price, but I can state you do get exactly what you paid for. I currently have pretty much samsung everything, so the intergration, and fluidity between the different devices is nice, and really makes a cloud between all things on the network. The apps preloaded on the device are nice, and I have yet to find something I can call "useless" bloatware. If your going to spend 500+ on a tablet, go ahead and do yourself a favor and spend the extra to get this beauty. Enjoy!

An Expensive Toy
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this tablet for about four months now. There are many pros as well as cons owning it. The pros would definitely include, much larger screen size, a higher and better display, split screen, ease of use, and most importantly... it comes with a stylus which most influenced my purchasing decision. The cons are of course, the price, mediocre battery life, takes too long to recharge, almost have to purchase a separate keyboard, size is a doubled edge sword, and with android you can't view flash videos.

iPad fan LOVES the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been dreaming of an iPad with a larger screen, and when it didn't materialize I took a gamble and bought this. I wanted a bigger screen for reading books, art apps, light productivity and Internet and the Samsung Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is PERFECT for this. I've found it to be easy to use and actually prefer the interface to my iPad in terms of customization, organization (folders!) and easy navigation. I would probably be a complete Samsung convert, but have found many of the apps avialable for iPad to be of a higher quality. The one exception to this is the productivity apps. The Hancom Office is a decent Microsoft Office replacement and if you add a keyboard and mouse, you can easily adapt this for office and school work in lieu of a laptop. For me, the verdict is out still on whether it is worth it to pay extra for the S Pen. If the art apps were better, it would be a strong yes, but I think I will be going back to my iPad and computer for drawing/sketching and photo manipulation. If this tablet turns out to be as long lasting and reliable as my iPads have been, I will likely switch to Samsung for future tablet and phone purchases.

Great tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Pro Note tablet is by far one of the best in the market. Its easy to use and fast. One of the reasons for getting this tablet is because it has almost no lag when using the stylus, which is great for drawing.

Replaces my laptop ...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first tablet with a big enough screen and keyboard that can actually be used to use with word processing apps. Superb HD screen and battery life. Blows away my former ipad.

Great Tablet, but started having issues in 7 mos.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this product in April 2014. Loved all the features. Love the front and back camera the most. Takes vivid pictures and allows you to alter the photos with special effects. You can also set the camera settings, just like a real camera does. Also allows you to take a photo of what is on your screen by moving your hand across the screen. Easy to maneuver, quick start up and fast. Can view in portrait or landscape mode by just tilting the screen in the direction you want it to go. Love the fact you don't have to use a mouse or a TouchPad. Comes with an S - pen, which allows you to touch, glide and scroll over your screen. When writing a document, you have the choice of typing on the touch keyboard with your fingers or the S - pen and you can also write your document with the S - pen as if you were writing on paper. Downfall, Android doesn't support Microsoft Office or Adobe flash player. After 7 months, my Samsung started having the following issues. The screen flickers up to 4 times a second when on the internet and sometimes when I'm on a different program. It use to only flicker when my battery got down to 50% or below. The battery use to charge up in a matter of a few hours and I could use my Samsung up to 6 hours at a time. Now I am lucky if I can stay on it for an hour or 2 at a time and it takes all night to recharge the battery and it only charges to 99% instead of 100%. Fortunately, I purchased the service plan and I will be returning this product to be serviced. Hopefully, they will be able to repair my Samsung. If I had to do it all over again, I would purchase a 2-in-1 laptop /tablet as I have found you can buy one for a comparable price if not less expensive, depending on what your needs are.

Excellent tool
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using in place of laptop. Works great for surfing net. Using MS Office 365 - not as full functioning as PC version, but works perfect for my needs. Finally figured out how to use S Note with the pen. Used this at a conference to keep my handwritten notes; and downloaded the conference schedule app - worked perfectly. Love this tablet!

Terrific tablet for students
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great resolution, high processing speed. Stylus allows students to take notes and retain valuable information from classes. WiFi capabilities and available applications allow this unit to be a very capable tool. External Bluetooth keyboard and case creates a laptop like experience. I have one and bought another for my college age Son.

Excellent technology, but do you need it?
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this tablet primarily for reading music; reading sheet music on an iPad on a music stand requires eagle eyes. The larger size of this screen is perfect. I also like reading magazines and watching videos on this device. The larger size is perfect for drawing and photo editing as well, but you are not going to run full-fat PhotoShop on this device. For general webbrowsing, emails, or book reading a smaller tablet is not only sufficient, but much more practical. I also have a Dell Venue Pro 8, which seems tiny after using the Samsung, but is much easier to tote around for general reference. Android is OK; I actually prefer Windows on tablets, however. Much more versatile for my business uses. I could see how one could make work-arounds for most business related activities on the Samsung; but with excellent Windows devices (eg Surface2, Pro2) available, there is no need to compromise. (My main computer is a Surface Pro2) The Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 is a technological marvel, and a beautiful sight to behold. I love using it, but YMMV; make sure it is what you need before making spending what you will need to in order to own it.

Great tablet, Samsung did it right
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Samsung hit this one out of the park. The tablet size is great for multitasking. Lot of real estate to run 4 windows at the same time. Keyboard is full size making it easy to type. Screen quality is outstanding. The new operating system is a nice step up, magazine style windows. Having the new halcom office is the closest to microsoft office out there. The price is a bit on the high side but for what you are getting it is well worth the extra money.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use this tablet for school and I'm love with every samsung product that they release. This screen is bright and very responsive and the multi screen is great for students and business persons. The battery is great and using it for a whole day and it making it through the day is needed. The S pen is just an added bonus!

Best Tablet Yet Created
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition a few months back and found it to be a really nice tablet, but something was missing and I didn't know what it was until the Note pro hit the market. I love this large vibrant, clear screen, how thin it is to be such a large tablet, and the best for me is the business software. I love absolutely everything the business software has to offer because I use them in my everyday work life. Now I can have them on the go while traveling or just sitting and relaxing in my office. No more having to sit at my desk in front of a computer to get things done. This tablet might be big but I swear that you don't even notice the size after using it for an hour. Samsung hit this one out of the park, and the fruit company now bass major competition with this device. WOW!!!

Android Dream
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tablet is packed with productivity tools, fun apps, beautiful screen, and it is fast. Being familiar with Android will help with the learning curve, but if not go to Samsung.com and download the manual. I wish it was a little less expensive, but once i master all of its many features I'm sure it's worth every penny.

Good Tablet but Fails on Useability
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Many people in the other threads have commented on the usability and speed and display of the tablet. I do agree with them on the display quality and this is a fast machine. However if you are looking into buying this tablet; you need to be aware of the following. If I had know what I am about to tell you now; it would have impacted my decision to buy this. 1. Magazine UX: - Samsung failed to deliver on the Magazine UX experience. The concept and style is great however it is limited. - The early screenshots from Samsung and reviews showed applications like Knox, google play store and an android app shortcuts / launcher (not the Samsung App Store) within the Magazine UX UI. These are all missing from the present magazine UX as an option. - Official Smasung link: http://support-us.samsung.com/spsn/detail.jsp?ctg_id=1280&sub_ctg_id=&live_id=2455 - Be Aware that just like the S View implementation, you cannot add additional apps and views and you are limited to the 10 apps and 6 social views (PS: No facebook) 2. Storage - This is the main problem with 2 issues. - Android 4.4.2 is nice but they locked down how apps access the external storage. This means that many of the games and apps you have cannot move or write their data to the SD storage (ex. Assassin's Pirates, Plex Pass) - In addition; according to Reddit there is a potentially missing line of code from Samsung's implementation that prevents r/w access on their implementation of android. There use to be a fix/work around for the storage problem by utilizing FAT 32 instead of exFat and I have used that for on my NVIDIA Shield and other tablets. This trick however does not works on the Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 series. What this means to you is that yes. The tablet works at the basic level however if apps cannot copy data to SD without changing their code, you will start to run out of space on the 32GB model quickly. If this tablet didn't have the storage issues and expanding magazine UX functionality;, I would have been happy with the out of the box experience. Given the above failures and cost of this tablet; It is definitely not worth $750+. Tips: - The screen size is big so using the split keyboard is a nice feature. - You can also add additional apps to the side view window to enter into multi window modes. - If you must have one of these, get the 64GB ,model which should hold you over until the storage update is resolved.
