Awesome Tablet for Student and Photographer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tablet for class and to use reviewing pictures on the go. Comes with the full office suit for free that's great. The resolution of the screen also lets me see every detail of a photo I take. Having galaxy perks give me $25 of Google play credits was also a plus (used to buy Photoshop touch). I can now edit photos on scene or wherever I am. Great tablet to have and a decent price, much less than a comparable ultra-book.

Not worth the price, poor customer service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First, about the product itself: Pros: I like the big bright screen - coming from the original Note 10.1, it is a huge improvement. I like the S-pen, but I liked the Snote setup on the 10.1 better. I like the fact that I can now drag a picture onto a note I'm writing (I use Papyrus#, and of course I enjoy the ability to multi-task. The tablet is fast, and I love the fact that I'm able to expand the storage. The sound is very clear. I was a fan of the front facing speakers, but these sound just as good. The tablet comes with a pretty awesome "office" suite that allows me to do most of what Microsoft office does and save it in a Microsoft format. It offers remote PC, webEx #if you're willing to give them your credit card information#, It also #after making you jump through hoops# offers 50gb of dropbox space. Cons: I use the S-Pen a LOT, and sometimes it wants to scroll instead of write. I liked the S-Note experience of the 10.1 better - it was better organized and the tools were more easiliy accessed. To put it simply, it's a faster, tablet with a better screen, but beyond that, there isn't a whole lot that this tablet does that the original note 10.1 didn't do. Sure, it's better looking, but inside the otterbox, I didn't have the chance to see how ugly the original note tablet was. Now, about Samsung support: I am a huge fan of Samsung products - I've owned the Note 2, Note 3, Note 10.1, I have a Samsung laptop and refrigerator. I adore my note 10.1 #original edition#, and thought I'd feel the same about the Note Pro. The note pro 12.2 is expensive, but it came with some perks that, for me, almost made up for the inflated price. This would have been fine if the perks were attainable. I purchased my note pro on 10/23 and as of today still have not received the perks. I called Samsung support several times, they were unable to resolve it. I was directed to their facebook page, and just now am finding the email that was sent on the 30th that went to the trash folder of my gmail account. I registered my product in my name and they want me to show them my receipt. I'm totally insulted. I'd heard rumors about Samsung and their poor customer support, but didn't think it was true. Samsung makes quality products, but on the off-chace you need their help, they don't have a lot to give.

Great Device
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently decided to get rid of all my laptops and use the Note Pro 12.2 only. I purchased the Logitech Pro wireless (bluetooth) keyboard case to make the device work seamlessly as a laptop or tablet whenever needed. I have also left my work pc at work and utilized this device to remote into my work pc so i never have to carry my laptop around. I also have a Galaxy Note 3 and a Samsung tv. The Screen Mirror works seamlessly with my tv. If you Have a Note, this is just a larger version of it. All in all, I am very happy with my purchase. My next purchase will be the S Action Mouse which has an S button on the mouse for seamless Use. Samsung is really starting to go above and beyond. Besides the Price, I have found 2 cons 1.) I have tried two different screen protectors and both appear a bit tacky when trying to use the s pin for something other than just writing. 2.) The battery life doesnt last as long as i was hoping. with Ipads lasting literally days, I would like to see Android tablets last as long.

Glad I upgraded!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market for a new ???, not sure if I wanted a laptop or a tablet. I read review after review and I am a Samsung fan (Galaxy S4 phone, 7" tab, etc) I was set my sights on the 12.2 Tab Pro, but when I got to Best Buy, it would be a few days before they could get me one. I then started asking a few questions about the Note Pro...is it only the pen that makes it $100 more? Kind of, but then I started playing with the pen. It was amazing. I was able to write notes like a notebook (paper) and even doodle. I am not 100% sure of the tech stuff but there is a wow factor. Movies are amazing. I added a keyboard case (Logic) it is good for a keyboard but I should have waited and found a case with pockets and a keyboard. Although it is not really for work for me, I plan on using it at client meetings for notes. Great new Toy!!!

Great for it's size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally wanted to get 17' laptop for school, because I wanted a bigger screen. After playing around with this in the store and seeing how easy it was to navigate and how clear everything looked on the screen I decided to give it a try. So fa I have not been disappointed.

Screen flashes and locks
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great for 3 months...Loved the size, apps, screen..everything. Then it the screen began flashing which is a problem reported by others on the internet. Then the screen started locking up...so I had to reset frequently. I suggest buying the warranty.

too large too handle - as a tablet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a hard one. I bought it at lunch today, very excited, but knowing the size may be an issue. I am 6'4"..so hands do not get much bigger. It was just a little too much to sit and use unless I was at my desk, or table. It is wide...a little heavy after a while free handing it...nothing crazy, but I was surprised. I have an S4, iPad2 32G and the Galaxy Gear watch...so this is not a bash on Samsung. Love em. but when looking to update from my ipad2...it was all I wanted...but more than I can handle when I consider travelling, being in meetings, flying,. As a laptop, or "Surface" like laptop...it excels. But when you consider it as a natural hold and type tablet...it is too much. I will be returning it and likely going to the Note 10.1 2014 edition, rather than the new Tab Pro due to the Stylus...that I love. But for the steep $749.00 price tag...it made the decision easier.

Died outside warranty
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the first expensive electronic item I have ever lost due to defective manufacture. One case where I wish I had bought an extended warranty. Screen began flickering, first very occasionally then unacceptably. Look up Note 12.2 flicker problem. I go through the suggested online fixes, including pulling the battery and resetting. No luck. I am skilled in this area, built 4 computers and fixed my old phone back in the day. But no luck on the Note. Defective on the chip somewhere and it took so long to manifest, its now out of warranty. So I cannot recommend this product at all. Not only was my experience very poor, many others have experienced this flicker issue. I like Samsung, had a Note 2 phone and first gen LCD TV with them, but this was over $700 just lost out the window. Not going Samsung for a while, need to earn back my trust after this expensive lesson. You, like I, read the good reviews and see the occasional sourpuss, well, this time, that sourpuss is me. Out $750, ouch.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this tablet. I am surprised at how much I am using it. I wasn't sure if it would be too large or heavy but it is actually great.

Glamorous piece of junk!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this from Best Buy based on reviews.. Major issue with file transfer from USB to Micro SD card Wanted to transfer files from USB Hard drive (128 GB FAT 32) to Micro SD card (64 GB). It worked fine for few files and then transfer failed. I copied HD movie file and mp4 video files, transfer worked for few files then stopped. The tablet recognizes the SD card and USB drive and I can view data and play files from the USB Drive and also shows SD card.. so nothing wrong with USB or micro SD card . But the transfer of the files failed after the transfer of few files. I formatted the SD disk and again try to copy from USB to Micro SD card and it failed again. I took my system to best buy Samsung consultant. They also tried and could not transfer the files from the USB to micro SD card. They called the Samsung technical consultant who gave a ridiculous answer that the system cannot be used for file transfers. So what I am supposed to do with this tablet ? Just browse net and download games …? I wanted to store video files and photo albums on SD card by transfer from USB drive and watch them when I am in a place where I do not have internet access and also use this for my video presentation. But, could not make this work. I spent hours to resolve and even best buy Samsung representative tried their best but failed. FILE TRANSFER FROM USB TO MICRO SD CARD DOES NOT WORK. I have not tested the display ability on large screen as I do not have the connector. For me this tablet is glamorous piece of junk.. I am going to talk to Samsung tech support myself to see if they can resolve this issue

Samsung stranded its customers
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This was a phenomenal tablet, but Samsung's 5.0.2 OS update locked out all non-Samsung Bluetooth accessories. Check around some Android forums and you'll see a lot of disappointed users who spent $100 or more on keyboard cases that no longer work. Though Samsung has known about this problem for at least a month, they've been unresponsive about when, if ever, they'll make this right for their customers. I've enjoyed Samsung products for years, but this experience is souring me and a lot of other once-loyal customers on the brand. Buyer beware.

Can't Compare to the IPAD for many REASONS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't wait to dive in to my NOTE PRO 12.2 Tablet from Samsung. I am a NOTE 3 user for almost a year now and former NOTE 2 user. I loved the idea of a little bigger Screen then the IPAD AIR which I own and I loved the idea of MUTI WINDOW. After SET UP which was pretty painless I noticed scroll lagging. Lots of un smoothness unlike the IPAD AIR. I thought maybe back ground apps or back ground downloading and ever after all updates and set up same thing. FB APP and CNET APP come in awful. Very grainy and blurred compared to IPAD APPs. Screen Rotation seems like it doesn't know sometimes and Multi Window freezes up often. Very ANNOYING. I use SQUARE APP for my business and on the NOTE PRO 12.2 it's not the FULL VERSION of the APP like on the IPAD. SAME WITH FB and CNET and who knows what others. For the money spent on this tablet it should be cooking breakfast. And as for the SPEN writing on the device was no where as smooth as I had expected.
