    "Upgraded" from a Note9

I am and IT Professional and use my phone all the time for my job. I love the Note series! I upgraded from the Note9(loved it), which I gave to my wife as her "new phone". So, this review in some ways compare it to my old Note9. The Good: -It is fast. No lag in any of the apps that I use from day to day. -Great camera clarity. The main sensor is sharper, and the wide angle is wider than the Note9. Night mode is better as well. -5G. Have better service in my area with 5g(Verizion) than the Note 9 had 4G service. - Display is pretty nice. 120hz option, and bigger screen size than the Note9 without making the phone bigger. The Bad: -No headphone Jack... Why Samsung, Why? I almost didn't buy this phone for this reason. I use BT headphones, but I will have to use an adapter to connect to sound systems or use my old headphones now. - S Pen moved... I am not left handed, why move the pen to the left? I hold the phone with my left hand while writing, which makes it harder to get out the pen. - Volume Rockers... They are on the same side as the power button, which takes away your leverage, and forces me to adjust my hold to use them. - Camera... The camera bump is HUGE, but a case makes it even. The main sensor also has issues taking pictures of screens(which I do often). It is showing polarized type lines in the pictures. I have switched to the wide angle, and while not as sharp, I don't have that issue in that mode. Also the Main, Ultra Wide, and tele photos all have different white balance and saturation. wouldn't seem like a big deal, because you use one senor at a time. however taking photos at thanksgiving, I would Wide for room shots, and Main for people shots. You notice the difference flipping through photos. -Value... Note series are expensive, and for that price I expect an excellent phone with everything you need in the box. In the box of the Note9 I received a Charger, Spare S-pen tips, a smart switch cable adapter, Headphones, and a SIM tool. All that came in the Note20-U was the charger. All that said, it is a great phone, with lots of little annoyances that I am getting used to and working through. If you find it on sale, don't need a headphone jack, and can live for the rest of the little things get it. If I didn't get it on sale though I probably would have gotten a different phone.

Best phone I've ever owned hands down! Picture quality is amazing. Storage capacity seems endless. I love the pen feature and the abilities of the pen. Video quality is top notch no loading or lagging. Dual sim card and extra shot for micro sd card for extra storage. I bought mine Unlocked to use on any network in any country.

Still rockin it 2 and a half years later. This has been an amazing phone. I usually get a new phone every year but I think I'll hang onto this one till it dies. I couldn't think of anything more to ask from a phone then what I'm getting from this one. The S pen works as a remote for many apps like the camera for selfies.

I love this phone! By far the best phone I've ever had. Love the large screen and the stylus that comes with this phone. Camera is amazing for both still photos and videos. The only negative is the dongle. I don't much care for the fact that it doesn't have a regular headphone jack. The dongle is just a pain to keep up with.

So I will start by saying that the incentives that Samsung was giving out was just to much for me not to warrant upgrading from my Note 9. With the 120hz display the phone is silky smooth to operate. The cameras are awesome for whatever you may want to use them for. The stylus is also much better. Battery last me all day unless Im heavily using GPS without it being connected to my in car charger, but that only is when Im on my motorcycle and it is also playing spotify and connected to my watch and Buds live. Honestly though if I wouldn't have got the money for my old phone that I did I wouldn't have upgraded. It is a great phone but a bit steep on the price curve. The one major grip is the camera bump. It makes you have to have this phone in a case or face the real potential of destroying the cameras.

This phone is absolutely amazing. Switched from iPhone and although the switch was initially difficult from iOS to Android, it was well worth it. The camera is top notch. Perfect size. S Pen is fantastic, can't live without it now. 120 Hz display is game-changing and battery easily lasts me all day.

Awesome phone. 120hz screen is amazing. And love every thing about this phone. Sound quality, speed, memory, storage space, 5g, gaming is all better then any phone I've had in the past. And I've had almost every galaxy device they've come out with including every Note except the 7. Camera is amazing. Still not top iPhone quality but very close. Only negatives is one handed is hard to type with the curved edges and can be a little heavy feeling when using for long periods of time. Battery life is great. For me usage is moderate to high with lots of fullscreen video streaming and Facebook scrolling and battery will still be at 30-50% by 10pm. Comes with 25w charger so it will charge to full in about 2 hours. But I also have a 45w and it will charge to full in less then an hour. Storage is great with option to go 1tb using micro SD. Really if you need more then 512gb then your a hoarder lol. Price is only major knock on this. Considering then camera, memory and 120hz screen its basically same as Note 10+.

WAY better than the S20 Ultra

5 star so far. Only been about a week now and it's been perfect. I'm coming from the Note 10+ that I still use on another line and then to the S20 Ultra, which was not so great. The Note 20 Ultra has far better battery life and is noticeably faster than the S20 U was. The display is also way better. Camera has some better software but if we're being honest, in 108MP mode, the auto focus is really slow. But for me the default camera takes excellent pictures and autofocus is super fast with that. People complain about the camera bulge but really, I can't imagine a moment I'd ever want to have no case on my phone. With the case, the camera doesn't protrude. There's nothing to complain about. And the screen doesn't scratch just from touching it with your fingers like it did on the S. Great phone. Do it. Oh and this it the 4th phone I've bought from best buy and always a good experience with no problems activating on Verizon.

I have been a Note owner since the Note 2. My last Note was the Note 9. The Note 20 is a serious upgrade. The screen is smoother to use the S Pen on. The screen seems to me more smudge resistant. The screen area is bigger and the new processor makes all the apps react quickly. It is entirely too slick to own without a case. You will drop it. I purchased the Samsung LED case which is a great addition. I like the Mystic Bronze color but everyone thinks it's pink, unfortunately. It's still better than boring silver or black. The camera is excellent! Much better than my Note 9. The many pictures I have taken come out beautiful. I'm very impressed by the camera and the phone in general. I had read many mixed reviews and I'm not sure if they just never owned a Note in the past or didn't own a Note long enough to appreciate it's functionality and S Pen as well.

I have had Notes since the Note 4. Each time I have upgraded over the years I have always felt each one would have been perfect if they had kept this or that. Finally as far as I can see, this one pretty much hits the mark. The phone is light and sleek, has a great camera. The battery lasts a long day and depending on usage, even a day and a half. Basically if you set the phone up right, as recommended you will be quite satisfied. It is super fast and quite responsive even at 60 Hz. My only criticism is the price. But that is justified by the 5G modem, so they say. The best way to purchase this phone, most affordable is through the early promotions by Samsung. Currently they offer up to $650.00 on trade ins so you end up paying around 749 when all is said and done.

This phone is a beast. The 120hz refresh rate is awesome. I can never go back to 60 now. Very fast, very powerful. Camera is phenomenal and playing CoD mobile is so much fun on this. Glad I have my S-Pen too.

I love the Note series, especially for the S-Pen feature. I previously had a Note 8 but upgraded to the 20 after it stopped working. I've had it for about nearly a year and still works great but the performance has slowed down a bit for me but that may just be a result of my usage. As with all phones, definitely do be wary of the screen as it is not crack-safe and it cost a lot to replace the screen. The camera is great, I noticed the pictures I take are of a different quality than the ones I took on my older phones. I love all the new features too and it's fun to explore them as you get familiar with your phone. Charging is super fast and battery life is good.

Upgraded for Note 8 and don't regret it for a second. Excellent display, pictures and battery life. Love the enhancements to pen, even though they changed position to option side. Transfer of old data was more simple then in past with Samsung Smart Switch. The finger ID on screen got some getting used to but works great. Happy they kept external memory on this model due to lower models don't. That is one of the main reasons I use Android over Apple. Was able to purchase when was on sale ($350 off) otherwise would have waited to upgrade.

I will love this as much as my note 8 once I'm used to some of the changes. It has the same awesome features as the 8, with a few more bells and whistles. The screen is awesome and the phone takes even better photos than the 8. I haven't been anywhere with 5G, so I can't comment on that change. Cons: I'm not thrilled with the front screen fingerprint sensor. Its a little awkward and not as sensitive as the one on the 8, but I'm glad its moved away from the camera lens. The camera bump is kind of extreme, and is a worry as far as scratching goes. Most cases I've looked at are flush with the lens, so I'm a little worried. I ordered a screen protector for the bump and hoping it doesn't interfere with image quality. The curved screen presents the standard screen protector issues. Otterbox cases lift it so I had to replace it 3 times. On the third, I chose a different case. Also a little bummed that the S Note app has been replaced with Samsung note. Limits creativity, so I had to download a different drawing app, but none as good as the original app. Overall, the phone is pretty awesome.
