Technology in flagship phones has platued. This Note 20 Ultra and the Z Fold 2 are probably the best flagship phones available in 2020. I have always liked the note series due to the powerhouse specs and option to use the s pen however due to the recall with the note 7 battery issues I kind of got on the Galaxy S series cycle. The last year and a half I have been using the S10+ Ceramic version. No phone since then has been compelling enough to want to upgrade until now. Reasons most people might want to upgrade to this phone: - You have large hands or don't mind using two hands for your phone. - You are using a phone older than 2 years and want to upgrade to the latest and greatest. Reasons you may not want to upgrade - You do not like large phones and prefer something more manageable for one handed use. - You have a note 10 or Galaxy S20+ in which case this will not seem like a drastic upgrade technology wise. Reasons I like the note 20+ include: - Beautiful vibrant screen with minimal front bezels. - Expandable storage for micro sd card simply plug and play from my S10+ - Design and color combinations. This is probably the best looking Samsung phone to date. - S pen (I like the instant screen write feature to take a quick note if needed and the softwares ability to select and convert any text on screen) - Camera and photo quality is excellent. Minor complaints or things that could be better - Battery life is good enough for me and I have wireless chargers everywhere. Some power users might be disappointed but I can get through a full day for my use. - Camera bump is large. Design wise it looks good but I don't like to uses cases and this phone just needs a case to level the camera bump out. I went with a clear tpu kickstand version that works out pretty well. - Stylus location switched sides and rocker buttons moved all to the right side. I am getting used to both changes now however its still a change when you are used to it always being opposite on other samsung note and galaxy s phones. - Stereo sound is loud and good enough but shrinking the bezels and ear piece speaker opening is a trade off for the amazing screen to body ratio. Boomsound from the old HTC phones were the best. In short this is an amazing quality Samsung phone. Price is a little steep if you don't have a trade in or some other deal and you are buying it a full price. If you have the $ and want the best current android phone option that has expandable storage then this is the phone to get! If you really have the money and want the best wow factor bleeding edge technology phone and do not need expandable storage then go with the Z Fold 2. If you want a really good android phone without breaking the bank, then there are plenty less expensive options that have been released over the last year or so including the Note 10+

My last Samsung experience was the Note 7, enough said. Flash forward a couple years. I like the Note 20 Ultra. The build quality is very impressive, the processor and ram together are very fast. The screen is Huge and very accurate color replication. Samsung is known for over saturation from time to time. I have had the phone for about a week and have really enjoyed the functionalities of it. The camera is amazing attached are some shots of the moon. Battery life is incredible, call and audio quality are very good and clear. Especially with this phone being on sale you can't go wrong with this. Make sure you get a good case and screen protector as the phone is all glass. Thanks Samsung you guys did an amazing job with the Note 20 Ultra.

I love this phone. I had the Note 3, 5, 8, & 9. Samsung Note phones are hands down the best phone on the market. Samsung puts the Smart in Smart phones.. It is the king of big screen phones. If you want to use a smart phone with a boat load of features here you go. First time user's DON'T be intimated. If you are tired of plucking the screen with your fingers, retyping missed keys try the stylist. Once you use the stylist and it's features you'll see. If you like to edit photo's, use photo apps you fine it a breeze. Its also great for notes, schedules, screen shots, PDF's, Business, Etc. Watch a YouTube review to help you see if needed. This phone and it's apps interfaces and sync's well with my laptop. I'm an old school Baby Boomer that likes electronics and tech. Below are photos I had edited. My brother send me a picture of his back yard. His neighbor cut all the trees down along the fence. He was bummed out. In five minutes I sent him a edited photo. It didn't replace the trees but gave him a good laugh..

The Note 20 Ultra is probably the best Note that I have had since the Note line was released. I have had the Note since the Note 2 and though some features are missing ( or maybe not discovered yet) that I am used to, such as the pop up screen/ multitasking feature I am definitely impressed. The pros of this phone are many. +Great rear camera, I mean out of this world great! Wonderfuldetail, clarity and sound is crisp. +Fantastic battery life. I can use the phone all day 6 am to 9 pm on one charge; at 9pm it is on 18%. +Dolby Atmos is impressive and big sounding. The dual speakers are clear and even slightly bass responsive, but I prefer using headphones or a speaker for sounds. +The color options are impressive. The mystic bronze is what I chose and I love the color and the look. +The selfie camera is better. The iPhone 12 actually had the lead for this, but it's not as grainy as it used to be. + The inscreen fingerprint scanner is imagination brought to life. I love how it is placed and really responsive. It does mess up time to time, but 90% it works well. Cons are -S-pen changed sides. I was used to the pen being on the right hand side. I did not upgrade to the 10, but on the 9 and the previous generations the pen was on the right. But Samsung moved it to the left. A weird con, I know, but for me it is one. -5G kills the battery quicker. I understand the technology behind 5G, but really, it is sparse. I have changed my setting to 4G LTE and there battery life is much better. See the pro on battery life. -Finger print scanner works well except when it doesn't. When it doesn't read your fingerprint it can be annoying, however, just reset your phone and it fixes itself. I have made it a habit to reset my phone 3 times a week, because just like a computer, things get a bit hinky if you don't. -Price. The phone is expensive, but all almost all phones are nowadays. This was by far my most expensive phone ever purchased. But it does seem worth it. -Good cases are hard to find. iPhone cases and S20 cases are everywhere, but the cases for this phone are fleeting. I look on Amazon for the cases and even there, they are sparse. I have a case that I like, but I be an looking for one that allows the phone color to be seen and still protect it. Overall I feel as though if you are a power user, then this is the phone for you. I have little disdain for the phone, but I have some. It have had this phone for almost 2 months before posting this review so I could give the most comprehensive view as possible.

Fantastic cameras, great screen, S Pen. Apps... This is one capable machine. Yes, it is worth the money. Buy it. The cameras a supremely capable. The variable zoom shots of the Moon were amazing, if you've ever tried to take pics of the Moon with your phone, you know what I mean. That splotchy small disk, is Mars. On a cell phone camera. Hand held. At an airport. The picture of the features of the 30th Street Station in Philly shows great balance and detail. Buy this phone!

Samsung why charge more for less features? No headphone jack, no iris scanner, no HR/O2 monitor, no LED notification, no IR blaster, no removable battery, wired AKG headphones & extra s-pen tips not included. 512 gb only available in black? Why no 40 megapixel front facing camera, better display & 4500 mAh battery like the S20 Ultra? Why move the S-Pen to the left side? The Note is supposed to be all powerful, everything phone, better than the S line and previous Notes. This is a nice looking phone but not worth full price. Some people may regret trading in older notes. If you have an older phone with cracked screen, poor performance then upgrade. *Many complaints on battery performance and camera lens. Some users have purchased lemons.

I absolutely love this phone, I have a difficult time keeping my case on it, only because I love how it looks without. The battery is phenomenal and their is a 50x Optical zoom on the camera as well as the ability to record video in 8k with a zooming directional array microphone when recording video. When you zoom in on the subject your recording, the microphone technology focuses in the same manner.

The only good thing about this phone is the fact that it still has the microSD expansion slot. Other than that the phone is very mediocre. Camera is OK. The phone was glitching the first day that I had it. As far as the 5G speeds, I think I seen that once. I went back to my iPhone ex S max. Soon as I did I ran a speed test in there I had it! More than 130 megs of speed. The note felt good in my hand. The screen quality seemed really good besides the glitching. The 120 Hz that is advertised seems like it works just parts of the time. Like when I close all the apps and restart the phone. After about 15 minutes it starts to look like it’s around 20 Hz for some reason. Bixby did not work as I thought it would after all of these years of having the bugs ironed out. Voice texting, and calling features were mediocre at best. Samsung is going downhill fast I guess. Back to the iPhone and have pre ordered the 13.

    Poor Geek Squad Protection

I asked when I purchased the Geek Squad Protection on my Note 20 Utlra 5g if the S-Pen was also covered and the Rep said yes. Just a few days ago, my phone dislodged from my otter box case and the S-pen fell out and broke when it hit the ground partially out of my phone. I messaged the Online support to double check that the S-pen was covered and they also responded with Yes. I wasted over an hour getting to my local Bestbuy just for the Geek Squad Tech in person to tell me that it's not covered and there's nothing they can do. Instead you have to go online to Samsung's official site to buy a replacement. As for my overall experience with the phone, It has been a great improvement. The ability to write notes/reminders right on the screen is super useful for a salesman like me. The camera all in one feature takes fantastic photos. I would recommend this phone over the new S21 phones as this is the last Samsung phone to have an expandable memory slots.

This is my first time owning a Note series phone. Previously had a Galaxy S7 Edge. I wasn't too concerned about the increase in size as I have pretty large hands, but now that I am used to it, the Note20 honestly doesn't feel unwieldly or awkward to use at all. Even in my pocket it is not an annoyance. The extra screen real estate and features that come with the Note series are 100% worth the larger size in my opinion. I even have it in a very protective case that adds a relatively decent amount of width and height, and it introduced no additional difficulties. Having the S Pen is great, I've found it to be a comfortable way to just normally operate and scroll through my phone and various apps. I also enjoy using it to sketch out drawings whenever I find myself having the time. It's great that the pen is pressure sensitive and rejects other touch inputs when it is engaged with the phone (as in close enough for the cursor to appear). Being able to jot down notes instead of typing them out with the on-screen keyboard (hate them no matter what phone it is) is always convenient and faster for my personal use case. As for the phone's performance, it is outstanding. Very fast and smooth. I opt to run it with a lower resolution to enable the variable frame rate that can go up to 120hz, due to my experience jumping from 75hz to 144hz monitors using my desktop PC (the difference it made especially in video games astounded me, but the fact I was scaling up to 1440p from 1080p also helped haha). Scrolling through apps looks so smooth and crisp, the lowered resolution becomes a non-issue to me. I don't do much mobile gaming but the few times I have played games on the phone, they ran with zero hiccups. Other non-game apps are the same, loading quickly from page to page and never stalling due to the phone itself (only spotty internet/data connection has caused any slow downs). It's a great step up from my S7 Edge which was already quite snappy and efficient. The Note20's battery life is GREAT and lasts me all day. I would say I use my phone throughout the day a tad more than the average user. The fast-charge feature has it back up to full in what feels like no time. I don't use the wireless charging as much, but have been using it more often as of late, and it is really neat and convenient. Very impressed with the power efficiency of this device. Overall, I must say this has been the best user experience I have had with any phone I have owned before. It is a near-PC-level device in the palm of my hand with all the features I could want or need. Super happy I waited for this generation to upgrade! Thanks to the seemingly sturdy build of the Note20 Ultra, I think this will be with me for a good while into the future.

Purchased this phone to replace a Samsung Galaxy Note 9. I have been a Galaxy Note fan for quite a while. They come in handy for various reasons due to the features they offer. The Note 20 so far has held up to expectations. It is quick and responsive. The display is very crisp and the refresh rate is flawless. The cameras that this phone has are very nice for any style photo or video. I will say the 50X zoom does get pixelated if taking a photo with it but not many will use that in an every day scenario. The battery life is wonderful. I use the phone more than an average user would and so far on a 12 hour work day streaming music and constant texting and calls the battery will drain to the 60-75% range. That is a plus for me. The phone lacks the Iris scanner and the Health features of my previous Note 9 (heart rate scanner and Sp02 scanner). Those were nice to see and occasionally use but hasn't been a deal breaker for me. Overall this phone has been a wonderful purchase. The price is high but if you don't buy a phone often then it will pay for itself over time.

Only have had the phone 10 days and so far it is a great phone and camera. Super fast when you have 5g service. The new pen is much better than my old Note 9. Battery is more than enough for a day's use but it is new. Not sure I like the raised rear camera. Easy-to-use if you have had a Note. It is pricey but wait for a sale as I did.

I purchased my Galaxy Note 20 Ultra from Best Buy. Thus far the phone's features are like a techno gold mine. Super fast, three phenomenal cameras, awesome speaker. No dropped calls or choppy conversations. I love the large screen and the pencil kicks butt for making notes attachments and overlays . Battery power is significantly longer than my previous Google Pixel 3XL. Charging is swift and can be used on any QI charger. I have no regrets on this expensive purchase.

    Incredible Phone All-Around

By far the best phone I've ever owned. This phone has everything and more. If you have the budget for it, and you either have big hands or are okay with using two hands for everyday use, this is the phone. If you are reading this review, you are likely not someone who blindly purchases every new iteration of iphone, so I will not try to go into depth as to why this beats out the iphone. But, I will tell you what makes this phone so great. First thing is the screen, which is pretty much perfect. The resolution is incredible, with the WQHD super AMOLED display being the pinnacle of phone screens. The human eye can only make out so many pixels, so at a certain point the pixel density becomes negligible. The true test then is how it looks, and this screen looks fantastic. The brightness is solid, the color is great, and the responsiveness is impressive. The battery life on this phone is pretty good, but I find android phones to fall off pretty quickly over time, with notable decline is battery performance usually noticeably after only 6 months. However, the less than perfect battery is still very strong when compared to the competition, and the super fast charging will ease the pain of putting it on the charger before the end of a full day's use. Overall, I find that phone companies care far more about the glitz and glam of phone specs, and rarely prioritize incredible batteries in their flagship phones. Still, with a screen this large and bright, and with a refresh rate so quick, the battery is impressive. I hope that in the future companies will offer alternative flagships that make small compromises on specs where needed in order to have truly impressive batteries that couldn't die in a day if you tried. Overall, anyone looking at the most expensive phones on the market should consider the galaxy note 20 ultra, especially if its at a good deal and can be bought for less than the s21 or the iphone 12 max.
