My husband loves this ring! The accuracy of the stats that comes across. The way it stayed charged for 7 days and overall functionality makes this a great purchase for a Samsung lover. He doesn’t use his watch when wearing his ring and it’s comfortable when he sleeps with it.

1st and foremost, I would like to say to some people that the ring is NOT a watch replacement but more of a companion to it. They work together in an ecosystem to better your daily life with tracking and suggestions on how to improve. While I do like my ring, some tracking features are excellent while some leave much to be desired.
Getting the perfect ring for you is a process. It is HIGHLY recommended you use their sizing kit to find the best match for your finger instead of the industry standard of ring sizing. This is because the tracking sensors will make it a little tighter on the finger if you do not size properly. I wore a mock size 10 and 11 on 2 hands before settling on 10 and it was perfect.
The box itself is nice and simplistic. Inside is the beautiful clear case/charger (wireless compatible), Galaxy Ring itself, a USB C cable and some literature. Setup was a breeze since I am already part of the Samsung/Galaxy ecosystem. Samsung Wearable app found the ring and paired it instantly. Along side the app is another that is for your tracking and wellness called Health.
While wearing the ring, I used the app to enter my vitals as in weight and height. The app did the rest as in heartrate, stress lvls etc. Now it is important to note that you should give the ring at least a week before thinking all your numbers are crazy high or low so that it gets to know you and your routine better.
I love the sleep and water tracking the most. Stress tracking I just cannot understand for the life of me. It is always saying I have HIGH stress when I know I don't. For example I could be laying on the couch super comfy, AC running while watching a great movie and the entire time my ring says my stress lvls are HIGH and I should try breathing techniques....what?? Also look at the pics as when I manually test for stress, I am green and low, but the tracker will record and log that I am highly stressed. Samsung needs to fix this ASAP.
Other than that, my numbers started to settle for sleep (I am slightly low because I have a habit of sleeping at 2am and waking up at 7am), heartrate and blood oxygen are good. My energy score is showing areas for improvement and recommends what I should do to improve.
Battery life is excellent. Lasts about a full week before needing to charge. Once in the charger, 30 mins provided more than half the juice to 100 and fully charged takes about 50 minutes.
Another thing to consider is price to performance ratio. I know the ring market is fairly new and in it's infancy but since the Ring only tracks via app and does not give any other benefits like NFC or any type of display, it's hard to justify a $400 price tag with what you are getting.
Sure quality is amazing. The Galaxy Ring itself is solidly built and feels premium. Lightweight yet strong enough to withstand the elements. Never had an issue with daily showers, hand washings, sweating and normal everyday behavior effecting it at all.
As Samsung's first attempt in the ring market, there were a lot of things done right and wrong. I hope in the future more QoL benefits are put into the rings as I do like mine a lot.

The ring came in a nice small box just like the sizing kit. Inside was the charging case, the ring inside, and the charging cord along with a quick start guide. First thing to do was to charge the case/ring so I found a 30W wall charger that I had and attached the charging cord and let the case/ring sit for a while.
While the ring was charging, I paired the ring with my Samsung phone via Bluetooth. I went to the play store and downloaded the Galaxy Wearable app. This app allows you to see the amount of charge on the ring, update software, reset the ring, name your ring, find my ring if it is lost and tips and user guide. You can also tap on the health settings and you can specify what you want tracked, the units, the targets, etc. The icons on the top, Energy Score, Sleep, and Heart Rate will all take you to Samsung Health app, where you can see all your data.
On the Samsung Health app, you can see your energy score, the steps, minutes of activity, and calories burned. Scrolling down, you can see your workouts, if you activated the workout detection setting, and the sleep score which provides sleep coaching. Then scrolling further down the page, you can see your weight, if you entered one, your heart rate, stress, blood oxygen, and then the last 2 stats are whatever you choose to see. Each stat can be opened further for a deeper dive into what goes into an energy score such as sleep time and consistency, sleeping HR and HR variability. I enjoy the sleep score which measures 5 factors and shows your sleep stages, blood oxygen levels during sleep, skin temperature during sleep, respiratory rate, and can record snoring if you activate it.
I am not an athlete or overly active, only walking the dog, doing yard work and gardening, but I like to keep track on how I am doing against my targets to keep my body weight in check and stay active as I age. For this purpose, I think it is great and gets the job done! Knowledge is power to change!
I would have liked the Galaxy ring to use only one app to do everything, but I guess having the wearable app allows for multiple devices in the future. Imagine an earring that can answer your phone for you! I found the Galaxy ring is much better for sleeping than those bulky watches. I have a watch from a different brand that I have been using for the last 13 years, and now charge the watch overnight and only wear the Galaxy Ring to bed.
I find that the Galaxy Ring, while not the most attractive in Titanium Black, my preference is gold, is quite comfortable. I can also wash dishes, clean my hands during cooking, and every other thing you do in water with ease. I like that aspect. I have been wearing it for 14 days now and am pleased to say that the black titanium looks as good as the day it came out of the box. No scuffs, no wear marks, etc. I hope it stays that way since I see a lot of rings where the base metal is coming through the finish. I think this ring is the most minimalistic and sleek one I have seen out there. It does not feel overly bulky, but is bigger than most jewelry rings.
I have not gone on vacation with the ring as of yet, but can imagine that the clear charging case would be perfect to charge the ring while away from home. I am not sure how many charges it provides, but am sure it would be enough for me. I put the ring in the charging case once a day while I am in the shower and 20 minutes later, it is at 100% charge. I love it! I have not had a low battery warning at all!
The Galaxy Ring is a winner in my book and am so glad I did not get a different one that you have to pay for a monthly subscription or anything. This one has no further cost after your purchase!

So far I absolutely love this ring! It's so comfortable that half of the time I don't even realize I have it on. Samsung truly kept comfort in mind when they made the ring. I have no gripes against it!

Do not waste your time or money on this ring. This ring worked for me for one month before it completely died. I had to send it out to Samsung for repair, and they would not cover the repair with the warranty because they claim I damaged the ring. In the one month, I mostly wore the ring to sleep, and while I was at work. I have an office job. I would remove the ring when baking or gardening. There is absolutely nothing that I did outside of normal wear, that should have damaged this ring. I asked the service center how often they've seen this issue, and the told me they do not track these metrics. If they did, I am sure they would see how these rings are not made to last. I have been a lifelong Samsung product fan, but my faith in the quality of their products seems to be waning based on the issues with this pricey ring, and the newest galaxy watch.

I had 2 generations of Oura ring over 3 years till I lost it. Decided to give a chance to Samsung to avoid subscription. A day after BestBuy return window, the ring is dead, not charging anymore. Contacted samsung for a warranty "support". They asked me if i plugged charger to the wall, if I put ring on charger, if I have power at home, and much more dementia troubleshooting steps, and finally they offered me to mail in my ring for 2 weeks period so technician will repair unrepairable sealed one time use device.
This is not reliable product that cost $399.
Almost positive that same Temu ring for $39.99 will outperform this garbage.

The ring's color began to fade after three weeks of use, concerning me about its long-term appearance. Additionally, the battery life looks like short of the advertised seven days, particularly for individuals who engage in physical activity or frequent movement.
The Galaxy Ring is built to withstand your daily activities with its durable, water- and scratch-resistant design. It is lightweight and elegant, making it suitable for all-day wear. Made from Titanium, it is available in three scratch-resistant finishes, offering a timeless style and advanced wellness tracking enhanced with Galaxy AI. Samsung products are covered by a 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. You also have the option to purchase additional coverage with Samsung Care+ for eligible devices, which provides extended protection and extra support. The battery lasts up to 7 days on a single charge. If you are experiencing shortened battery life, we recommend checking for updates. If you have any further concerns or questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at Support. -Kelvin

The Samsung Galaxy Ring is a great addition to the Samsung lineup. It has an attractive design, cool health tracking features, and long battery life. As someone who has used several competitor smart rings over the years, I am really excited to see Samsung enter the smart ring space.
• Packaging – The ring comes in an appropriately sized box which is easy to open and without excessive packaging. Included is the ring, charging cradle, charging cord, and quick start guide.
• Design – The ring comes in 3 different colors: titanium silver, titanium gold, and titanium black. I received the titanium black and it looks fantastic with a matte finish. My only concern is how well the finish will hold up with long-term usage during weightlifting and outdoor activities like hiking/rock climbing. It is only 2.6 mm thick and is quite lightweight, weighing only 2.3 grams. This is very close to the thickness of my wedding band and surprisingly “much” lighter which is pretty amazing given the several sensors and battery that are built into the ring. In the next iteration, I would like to see some online only Samsung exclusive colors like they do with their phones as well as the option to have it engraved.
• Charger and battery life – The charging cradle is significantly ahead of the competition. It has a modern premium design with a LED light that lets you know how far along the ring is in its charging cycle. One of my favorite things about the charging cradle is that it can be completely closed over the ring during charging and does not need to be connected to an outlet. This allows for convenient on the go charging where I can put the ring in the charger and throw it in my backpack without having to worry about losing it. It takes about 80 minutes to fully charge the ring with the ring battery reportedly lasting up to 7 days. My ring came fully charged and lasted about 6 days before needing to be put in the charging cradle; although, it still had remaining battery left and likely would have made it close to another day before completely running out of battery. Despite the charging cradle being 361 mAh, it only has enough battery to fully charge the ring one time bringing the total usage time up to 14 days before needing to plug the cradle into an outlet. Overall, for Samsung’s first attempt at a smart ring I am impressed with its battery life.
• Fit – Request a ring sizing kit (currently free on the Samsung store website) or be fitted in select stores (my local Best Buy had a full sizing kit available on display). Samsung recommends wearing the device on the index finger for optimal sensor performance and accuracy, but I opted for my ring finger as I found it to be more comfortable. The sizing kit sample ring size matched the size of my wedding band, so I felt confident going ahead and ordering the ring immediately instead of wearing it for the recommended 24 hours. Samsung does specifically state that their sizing differs from regular ring sizes, but I didn’t find that to be the case. When I put on the actual ring, it fits perfectly and is comfortable. It is snug enough to stay on but not too tight that I can’t get it off. It is important to note that the ring has a mark on it for which side should face the palm of your hand for the most accurate sensor readings.
• App/Data – The ring easily paired with my Samsung Z Fold 6 and showed up in the Samsung Health/Wearable apps. It tracks various health data and provides daily insights such as energy score, sleep score, and heart rate. This information can be found in the health app. For example, my most recent sleep time average was reported as excellent. If I want additional information regarding this insight I can click on the arrow and it will take me to a new page within the app with more in-depth information. I have had a few erroneous readings like a heart rate of 210 in the middle of the night but overall the data has been consistent with other fitness devices I use.
• Subscription – THERE IS NO MONTHLY SUBSCRIPTION WHICH IS A HUGE SELLING POINT! While this ring may be slightly more expensive than several of its competitors, there is no ongoing monthly fee to be able to see/access your own data. I would never consider purchasing a ring that required me to pay to access my own data so A+ to Samsung for not locking features behind a paywall.
I think Samsung did a great job designing its first smart ring. I have enjoyed using it and find the health information/insights it provides to be beneficial in my fitness and overall health goals. Recommend!

As someone who has spent years testing a variety of health monitoring devices, I was eager to try out the Samsung Galaxy Ring. My experience with different gadgets has made me keenly aware of what works and what doesn’t when it comes to tracking daily activities, monitoring heart rate, measuring sleep quality, and more. With Samsung's strong reputation in the wearable tech space, I had high expectations for their entry into the smart ring market.
Key Features
Design & Build Quality:
The first thing that struck me about the Galaxy Ring is its sleek, minimalist design, crafted from robust titanium casing. It’s noticeably lightweight and slightly thicker than a wedding band, which gives it a sturdy feel without compromising on comfort. I’ve worn it on my index finger for a week now, and it sits comfortably, even during vigorous activities like running or hiking. One feature that stands out is its water resistance, making it a reliable companion for all-weather wear. The materials used feel premium, and after a week of use, there’s no sign of wear and tear—something that speaks to Samsung’s commitment to durability. The only time I remove the ring is during weight training at the gym, as I'm slightly concerned about the possibility of scratching it.
Battery Life:
The Galaxy Ring boasts impressive battery life, easily lasting a full week on a single charge. While it’s comparable to my other smart ring in terms of power consumption, I noticed that its energy use is even more efficient when paired with the Galaxy smartwatch. This seamless integration between the devices seems to optimize battery usage, allowing both to function more effectively. The Samsung Galaxy Ring’s charging case can recharge the ring from 0 to 100% approximately 1.5 times when fully charged, adding another 10+ days to the Galaxy Ring’s overall battery life.
Health and Fitness Tracking:
The Galaxy Ring is packed with features that cater to health enthusiasts. It tracks essential metrics such as heart rate, SpO2 levels, sleep stages, and more. I was particularly impressed by the accuracy of the data. When compared with both my Samsung Galaxy Watch and another smart ring I’ve used for over a year, the numbers were nearly identical, with only a 5% margin of error between the smart rings. This consistency highlights the effort Samsung has put into ensuring precision. The sleep analysis is especially detailed, breaking down different sleep stages and providing insights that help me adjust my routine for better rest. I also conducted a comparison over two days, with and without wearing the Galaxy Watch, and found that the sleep data was more accurate when both devices were used simultaneously.
Data Interpretation & Insights
Quality of Data:
The Galaxy Ring provides data that is both accurate and highly relevant, offering insights that truly enhance your understanding of your health. I was particularly impressed with the precision of its heart rate data, which I compared against my Samsung Galaxy Watch and another smart ring I’ve used extensively. The heart rate readings were consistently in sync, showing only minor variations, which reinforces the reliability of the Galaxy Ring. The Energy Score is another standout feature, combining metrics like sleep duration, activity levels, and heart rate variability to offer a clear picture of your daily readiness. I expect the Galaxy Ring to excel at trend analysis over time, providing a comprehensive view of my health patterns. This will make it easier to identify areas for improvement and adjust my routine accordingly. The detailed breakdown of sleep stages, activity levels, and recovery metrics is invaluable for anyone serious about optimizing their well-being.
Impact on Daily Routine:
The Galaxy Ring has made a noticeable impact on my daily routine. The insights it provides have not only heightened my health awareness but have also motivated me to make tangible changes. For instance, the detailed sleep analysis has encouraged me to establish a more consistent sleep schedule, which has noticeably improved my energy levels throughout the day. Additionally, the daily Energy Score has become a key factor in how I plan my activities, helping me determine when to push myself and when to take it easy. These small adjustments, guided by the ring's data, have enhanced my overall well-being, making the Galaxy Ring an integral part of my daily routine.
No Subscription Fees:
The Samsung Galaxy Ring does not require a subscription to access its full range of features, which I find particularly important when choosing a smart ring.
App:
The Samsung Health app has been further enhanced with the integration of the Galaxy Ring into its ecosystem. The ring syncs seamlessly with the app, allowing me to access a comprehensive view of my health metrics—everything from heart rate and sleep analysis to activity levels—all in one place. This integration really elevates the user experience, particularly with advanced features like the Energy Score, which pulls data from all my Samsung devices to provide a holistic view of my daily readiness and overall wellness. Having the Galaxy Ring as part of the Samsung Health ecosystem ensures that all my health data is synchronized across devices, offering a more accurate and consistent picture of my well-being.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is a game-changer in the wearable tech space. Its combination of sleek design, robust health tracking features, and seamless integration within the Samsung ecosystem makes it a standout choice for anyone serious about monitoring their health. While it’s best suited for those already using Samsung devices, its no-subscription model and comprehensive data insights make it a compelling option for a broader audience. I highly recommend the Galaxy Ring to anyone looking for a discreet yet powerful tool to enhance their health and wellness journey.
