I’ve been using the Samsung Galaxy Ring for a few weeks now, and I’m genuinely impressed. It combines style and substance in a way few health trackers do. The design is sleek, lightweight, and comfortable. I barely notice I’m wearing it! Sleep monitoring is incredibly accurate and detailed, and I love the Energy Score feature. It also tracks heart rate, temperature, and stress levels, and syncs perfectly with the Samsung Health app. Battery life is fantastic! One charge lasts almost a week, and the charging case is super convenient. Plus, no subscription fees is a big win compared to other smart rings!!

As someone who has spent years testing a variety of health monitoring devices, I was eager to try out the Samsung Galaxy Ring. My experience with different gadgets has made me keenly aware of what works and what doesn’t when it comes to tracking daily activities, monitoring heart rate, measuring sleep quality, and more. With Samsung's strong reputation in the wearable tech space, I had high expectations for their entry into the smart ring market.
Key Features
Design & Build Quality:
The first thing that struck me about the Galaxy Ring is its sleek, minimalist design, crafted from robust titanium casing. It’s noticeably lightweight and slightly thicker than a wedding band, which gives it a sturdy feel without compromising on comfort. I’ve worn it on my index finger for a week now, and it sits comfortably, even during vigorous activities like running or hiking. One feature that stands out is its water resistance, making it a reliable companion for all-weather wear. The materials used feel premium, and after a week of use, there’s no sign of wear and tear—something that speaks to Samsung’s commitment to durability. The only time I remove the ring is during weight training at the gym, as I'm slightly concerned about the possibility of scratching it.
Battery Life:
The Galaxy Ring boasts impressive battery life, easily lasting a full week on a single charge. While it’s comparable to my other smart ring in terms of power consumption, I noticed that its energy use is even more efficient when paired with the Galaxy smartwatch. This seamless integration between the devices seems to optimize battery usage, allowing both to function more effectively. The Samsung Galaxy Ring’s charging case can recharge the ring from 0 to 100% approximately 1.5 times when fully charged, adding another 10+ days to the Galaxy Ring’s overall battery life.
Health and Fitness Tracking:
The Galaxy Ring is packed with features that cater to health enthusiasts. It tracks essential metrics such as heart rate, SpO2 levels, sleep stages, and more. I was particularly impressed by the accuracy of the data. When compared with both my Samsung Galaxy Watch and another smart ring I’ve used for over a year, the numbers were nearly identical, with only a 5% margin of error between the smart rings. This consistency highlights the effort Samsung has put into ensuring precision. The sleep analysis is especially detailed, breaking down different sleep stages and providing insights that help me adjust my routine for better rest. I also conducted a comparison over two days, with and without wearing the Galaxy Watch, and found that the sleep data was more accurate when both devices were used simultaneously.
Data Interpretation & Insights
Quality of Data:
The Galaxy Ring provides data that is both accurate and highly relevant, offering insights that truly enhance your understanding of your health. I was particularly impressed with the precision of its heart rate data, which I compared against my Samsung Galaxy Watch and another smart ring I’ve used extensively. The heart rate readings were consistently in sync, showing only minor variations, which reinforces the reliability of the Galaxy Ring. The Energy Score is another standout feature, combining metrics like sleep duration, activity levels, and heart rate variability to offer a clear picture of your daily readiness. I expect the Galaxy Ring to excel at trend analysis over time, providing a comprehensive view of my health patterns. This will make it easier to identify areas for improvement and adjust my routine accordingly. The detailed breakdown of sleep stages, activity levels, and recovery metrics is invaluable for anyone serious about optimizing their well-being.
Impact on Daily Routine:
The Galaxy Ring has made a noticeable impact on my daily routine. The insights it provides have not only heightened my health awareness but have also motivated me to make tangible changes. For instance, the detailed sleep analysis has encouraged me to establish a more consistent sleep schedule, which has noticeably improved my energy levels throughout the day. Additionally, the daily Energy Score has become a key factor in how I plan my activities, helping me determine when to push myself and when to take it easy. These small adjustments, guided by the ring's data, have enhanced my overall well-being, making the Galaxy Ring an integral part of my daily routine.
No Subscription Fees:
The Samsung Galaxy Ring does not require a subscription to access its full range of features, which I find particularly important when choosing a smart ring.
App:
The Samsung Health app has been further enhanced with the integration of the Galaxy Ring into its ecosystem. The ring syncs seamlessly with the app, allowing me to access a comprehensive view of my health metrics—everything from heart rate and sleep analysis to activity levels—all in one place. This integration really elevates the user experience, particularly with advanced features like the Energy Score, which pulls data from all my Samsung devices to provide a holistic view of my daily readiness and overall wellness. Having the Galaxy Ring as part of the Samsung Health ecosystem ensures that all my health data is synchronized across devices, offering a more accurate and consistent picture of my well-being.
The Samsung Galaxy Ring is a game-changer in the wearable tech space. Its combination of sleek design, robust health tracking features, and seamless integration within the Samsung ecosystem makes it a standout choice for anyone serious about monitoring their health. While it’s best suited for those already using Samsung devices, its no-subscription model and comprehensive data insights make it a compelling option for a broader audience. I highly recommend the Galaxy Ring to anyone looking for a discreet yet powerful tool to enhance their health and wellness journey.

The ring came in a nice small box just like the sizing kit. Inside was the charging case, the ring inside, and the charging cord along with a quick start guide. First thing to do was to charge the case/ring so I found a 30W wall charger that I had and attached the charging cord and let the case/ring sit for a while.
While the ring was charging, I paired the ring with my Samsung phone via Bluetooth. I went to the play store and downloaded the Galaxy Wearable app. This app allows you to see the amount of charge on the ring, update software, reset the ring, name your ring, find my ring if it is lost and tips and user guide. You can also tap on the health settings and you can specify what you want tracked, the units, the targets, etc. The icons on the top, Energy Score, Sleep, and Heart Rate will all take you to Samsung Health app, where you can see all your data.
On the Samsung Health app, you can see your energy score, the steps, minutes of activity, and calories burned. Scrolling down, you can see your workouts, if you activated the workout detection setting, and the sleep score which provides sleep coaching. Then scrolling further down the page, you can see your weight, if you entered one, your heart rate, stress, blood oxygen, and then the last 2 stats are whatever you choose to see. Each stat can be opened further for a deeper dive into what goes into an energy score such as sleep time and consistency, sleeping HR and HR variability. I enjoy the sleep score which measures 5 factors and shows your sleep stages, blood oxygen levels during sleep, skin temperature during sleep, respiratory rate, and can record snoring if you activate it.
I am not an athlete or overly active, only walking the dog, doing yard work and gardening, but I like to keep track on how I am doing against my targets to keep my body weight in check and stay active as I age. For this purpose, I think it is great and gets the job done! Knowledge is power to change!
I would have liked the Galaxy ring to use only one app to do everything, but I guess having the wearable app allows for multiple devices in the future. Imagine an earring that can answer your phone for you! I found the Galaxy ring is much better for sleeping than those bulky watches. I have a watch from a different brand that I have been using for the last 13 years, and now charge the watch overnight and only wear the Galaxy Ring to bed.
I find that the Galaxy Ring, while not the most attractive in Titanium Black, my preference is gold, is quite comfortable. I can also wash dishes, clean my hands during cooking, and every other thing you do in water with ease. I like that aspect. I have been wearing it for 14 days now and am pleased to say that the black titanium looks as good as the day it came out of the box. No scuffs, no wear marks, etc. I hope it stays that way since I see a lot of rings where the base metal is coming through the finish. I think this ring is the most minimalistic and sleek one I have seen out there. It does not feel overly bulky, but is bigger than most jewelry rings.
I have not gone on vacation with the ring as of yet, but can imagine that the clear charging case would be perfect to charge the ring while away from home. I am not sure how many charges it provides, but am sure it would be enough for me. I put the ring in the charging case once a day while I am in the shower and 20 minutes later, it is at 100% charge. I love it! I have not had a low battery warning at all!
The Galaxy Ring is a winner in my book and am so glad I did not get a different one that you have to pay for a monthly subscription or anything. This one has no further cost after your purchase!

I enjoy having the luxury of wearing automatic timepieces from time to time. Now they just sit in a case somewhere in my closet because I continue to think the value of smart watches and the info they provide, outweigh the standard automatic. I rely on smartwatches for how they are able to tell me what's going on in my own body. Fortunately, I now have a reason to wear those other watches, for now the Samsung Galaxy Ring does it all in a much smaller, and longer lasting package.
The Galaxy Ring is far better at concealing its smart features than a watch. It looks like a piece of jewelry and is virtually indistinguishable from a standard ring, especially if you opt for the silver or gold finish. Once ordered, I received a sizing kit that came in a Galaxy Ring style case. The sizing rings looked so identical, I thought they'd sent me actual Rings to try on and presumably return the rest, great option to have if you want to feel the way they wear.
The Galaxy ring came shortly after and looked like the same plastic rings from the sizing kit, though it's in fact made of titanium which is a lightweight indestructible metal. The battery is located on the back half and the 3 sensors on the front with a line centered on the outside of the ring to let you know whether you have the sensors in the right place on your finger, with the sensors toward the inside of your hand. I managed to get a full week of use before it reached 10% and needed a recharge in the case, which itself holds enough energy for 2 recharges. The case is beautiful in and of itself. It looks like clear faceted crystal, with a ring light on the interior where the ring lies showing power level of the case. The button on the center can either recall the power level or turn on Bluetooth pairing mode.
The ring takes a little getting used to if you plan on wearing it on a finger that never held a ring on it. After a couple of days wearing it on my right ring finger, I switched it to the left sitting atop my wedding ring, where it felt much better.
I was truly surprised at the level of depth and richness of information the ring is able to capture from 3 tiny sensors, it literally put the watch to shame. I was actually a little worried about how much of that info would be accessible to me not having a Samsung phone. My Moto was allowed full access to all features in the Samsung health app. The app shows an energy score and sleep score with information it gathers from measuring your sleep time consistency, bed/wake time consistency, heart rate and heart rate value. You get a detailed chart of each variable, including skin temp and respiratory rate during sleep. You can grant access to your phone's microphone so it can alert you of when you snore. I don't sleep with my phone at my bedside, so I didn't try that feature. The sleep score details length, quality based on the body's ability of physical and mental recovery, including your overall restfulness. All data is accompanied with line graph displays highlighting the part of focus. The health app is considerably more useful than any other smartwatch app I've tried in the past, including how to help you lose weight, inputting food values, water intake, medication times etc. It even offers workout routines you commit to and carry out during the course of the week.
I love the idea of having everything I need unassumingly perched on my finger. Well, almost everything I need; would be nice if there was a way to get notifications on it without looking at my phone. Then it would truly be a smartwatch replacement. If you're planning on getting a smartwatch or other ring to be health conscious, then I would highly suggest the Galaxy Ring if you have an Android phone.

I like the Ring better than a smart watch. I prefer wearing a traditional watch and I'm only interested in the health data. I decided to try the Ring and I have been happy. I initially bought it to wear on my ring finger on my right hand. However, I found it uncomfortable there do to it being a bit larger than like a wedding band. I moved it to my index finger on my left hand and it feels great there. The index finger is also suggested finger to use according to Samsung. There are two features I really like better than a smart watch. One, you only need to charge the Ring about once every week. Second, because I can leave it on for days at a time, I get great sleep data. This has really helped me understand some sleep issues I was having and how to get a better sleep.

The Galaxy Ring packs impressive health tracking into a sleek, lightweight design. Sleep, heart rate, and activity data are accurate and easy to access through the app. Battery life is solid, and you barely notice you're wearing it. A stylish, smart upgrade for anyone serious about wellness.

Where to start... First I'm going to complain about the looks and finish of this ring. For the hefty price tag of $400 this ring looks super cheap it has no shine to it whatsoever like metal doesn't feel like metal looks more like cheap plastic it measures about a quarter of an inch thick which for a ring is pretty thin especially for a male. I would of liked to have Samsung offer a narrow as well as a wider band option. Vs only one size fits all optin.
For the price of the ring I'm disappointed in the look and quality of its finish I've seen the silver, gold and I have the black and they all look like cheap plastic to my eyes. On to what it was designed to do. The ring does track sleep snoring heartbeat walking and activities just fine as it supposed to. I'm surprised by how small the ring is that it's built in battery last as long as it does. It's a shame Samsung can't make their watches which are 20 times the size of the ring, last longer than the normal day day and a half on a single charge at 100%.
The ring takes over most the responsibilities of activity and sleep tracking when you're wearing your Galaxy watch I myself have the Galaxy watch six classic, and I noticed the battery goes by just as fast when wearing the ring as when I didn't have it so that makes no difference. I do like the look of the watch case which also charges the ring. The case can be charged wirelessly or you can charge it with a USBC cable. So far I've charged the case only once when I received it and I've charged the ring three times with battery still to spare in the case. In my personal opinion of ring feels rushed to market to me, I think Samsung should have spent a little more time developing it especially the looks because it just looks like something you can pick up at Target for $10.
I personally can't recommend the ring for its looks but most people won't be buying it for its looks although I would think that would be heavily taking in to consideration, when you're forking over $400 for a so-called smart ring that looks so cheap. If it were me designing the ring I would have made it another 1/8 of an inch wider and tried to shave a 32nd second off the thickness. Which would still have plenty of battery for a week's worth of use, on a single charge.

Well worth it for me. Being that $399 was beyond my budget; I bought an open box ring for $219 in excellent condition. With tax: $235. I bought it during the Memorial Day sale and received a $100 gift card. That is, I essentially paid $135.
The point being, the ring is absolutely a bargain at $135.
I also own the Galaxy Watch Ultra. Together they flawlessly monitor my heath stats, including: Oxygen, skin temp, heart rate, sleep patterns, and more. The ring is durable and comfortable. It charges fast and stays charged for nearly a week.
If your budget allows $399 may not be unreasonable (for you). If you are on a tight budget, Best Buy has the best deals bar none.

TL;DR:
1. SETUP: It was very easy. Use the Samsung Health and Galaxy Ring Apps. The App takes care of everything for you
2. USE: It works well for it’s intended use
3. USABILITY: It’s simple and automatically connects with your phone
4. OVERALL: I like it, it’s minimalistic, but for my needs, an activity watch is better for me
I have used fitness trackers for 15+ years. I have been looking at the two main competitors and was excited to try the Samsung Galaxy Ring. The presentation of the “ring fit kit” was excellent. The case the ring utilizes to initially pair and charge the Ring is extremely high-quality. The ring itself is very lightweight, very durable, and has a great look to it. I like the outer portion is concave throughout the entire circumference of the ring. The overall package is excellent.
I am currently using a competitor’s watch and have been for sometime. I wanted to see how it would compare to the ring. To use the ring, you need to use the app to start your fitness sessions. For some things, it recommends using the Galaxy Watch. This was something I did not expect. Also, I don’t always carry my phone with me. It missed several of my activities, unless I initiated that session on my phone prior to the activity I chose. I was impressed with the physical health trackers it offered. I don’t know how accurate it always was specifically for my stress levels. The competitor watch I wear does not offer that, so it was highly interesting for me to see. I know it sometimes when it said I was highly stressed, I definitely was not, but at other times I definitely was. You kind of have to take it with a grain of salt, but it did give me a good insight into how I’m feeling. The sleep tracker worked great. In comparison to the competitor’s watch, the watch tracks more of what I want. I’m going to need to get a Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra, as that may be the perfect tracker I’m looking for specifically for my needs. I will continue wearing the ring, as it is a discrete package that offers a ton of insight into my day-to-day activities.
Lastly, the battery life was excellent. I’ve been wearing it for over two weeks and really only did it needed to charge it once after the initial charge. I’m still used to other devices. I charge more often, so I was charging it about once every three days with somewhere between 40 and 70% battery charge left. I have included some pictures of the tracker as it was tracking me. It was not distracting, and I enjoyed seeing the green, red or both lights on. Sometimes I’ll notice that on my watch, but it was more noticeable on the ring.

The ring is very lightweight and easy to wear, the finishes have sustained quite a few bumps and have not shown any scratches or sign of wear which is excellent considering it it's a exercise device.
It has an incredible battery life of at least 5 days, and it charges very quickly. I typically put it in its charging case during my 20 minutes getting ready in the morning and that is enough to never have to worry about it dying on me.
A lot of really great features when paired with the Samsung device, highly recommended if you are looking for sleep tracking with no disruptions from a watch it is much more comfortable.
I would recommend this to a friend

Love this tracker, my samsung watch felt to cumbersome and I would often forget to put it back on after charging. This charges super quick , super stylish and does a fantastic job at tracking my sleep and steps.

I've been really impressed with the Samsung Ring. Right off the bat, its stylish design stands out – it blends seamlessly as a piece of jewelry rather than looking like a typical bulky tracker. It's also incredibly lightweight; honestly, I forget I'm even wearing it most of the time. Beyond the aesthetics, it's a powerful tool for tracking my health. I get valuable insights into my sleep quality, can monitor my heart rate trends throughout the day, and accurately keep tabs on my steps. It's a fantastic combination of fashion and function for anyone wanting to monitor key health metrics discreetly.

I like the Samsung Ring. I need to remember to check and confirm that is it positioned on my finger properly for the best readings and results. It is extremely lightweight. It does seem to scratch fairly easily. I wish it could do more than just read your biometrics. The hold of a full charge is absolutely amazing. I only charge it once a week and it has never been below 20% remaining. The case is an excellent feature. It will charge the ring as well with not needing to plug it in to an outlet. The case also charges on a wireless phone charger. Another great feature. I would recommend this device. Having a Samsung watch helps the reading of the ring, just a note for users.

I bought this so I can wear while sleeping, way way better than wearing a watch while sleeping, so relaxing and tracks my sleep perfectly. And the battery life is awesome, charging only once in 6 days.

Okay, here's a shorter version of the consumer-style Samsung Galaxy Ring review:
Quick Take on My Galaxy Ring
Got the Samsung Galaxy Ring and barely take it off. It's incredibly light – seriously forget it's there sometimes, even sleeping. Looks good too (got the silver). Just make sure you use their sizing kit first; their sizes are different.
Tracking for sleep and activity seems accurate. The standout feature is the "Energy Score" which helps gauge my daily readiness – pretty handy.

Samsung ring feels really light and doesn't feel cumbersome during daily activities. The diagnostics are very helpful for understanding sleep patterns and personal health. Ring lasts multiple days before needing to be charged. All in all I am very satisified with this product.

My husband loves his ring. The battery lasts a long time, it charges quickly, and it feels like a normal ring. He especially likes the sleep quality tracking and how easy it is to review the reports. Highly recommend for people who dont always want to wear a smart watch but want to track steps and other health data.

I am very happy with my purchase. It seems pretty accurate to me, and works well with my GW5. I planned to wear it on my non-dominant index, but ended up finding it more comfortable on my dominant ring finger, but this works well since they are similar sizes and allows me to change it based on finger size changes. I am not sure how the data would look on its own, but it works well with the watch. I got almost 7 days each of the first few charges, now it is closer to 6 days. I have had it about a month.

Works really well and easy to use the app to see the health stats it tracks. It is nice and light-weight, feels much less bulky than the Oura ring I had before. It stays charged for quite a while and when it has to be charged it charges really fast.

I recently decided to try out the Samsung Galaxy Ring, even though I had never owned one before. I already wear a Samsung Galaxy Watch, which has many similar features, but I found that I didn’t like wearing he watch to bed. That’s when I became interested in the Galaxy Ring, especially after reading reviews that mentioned its in-depth features compared to other rings on the market.
Comfort and Fit
Before making my purchase online, I visited a Best Buy store to find the right size for my finger. I was pleased to discover that the ring fits perfectly and is very comfortable to wear both during the day and at night. One of the best things about it is that I can wear it all the time without any discomfort.
Water-Resistant Design
Another feature I love is that the ring is water-resistant. I don’t have to worry about taking it off when I wash my hands, which is a big plus for me. It’s great to have a piece of technology that can handle everyday activities without any issues.
Sleep Data Insights
After wearing the Galaxy Ring for just three days, I found the sleep data to be extremely interesting. I’ve already learned a lot about my sleep patterns, which is something I was really looking forward to. The detailed insights are helping me understand my sleep better, and I’m excited to see how this information can help me improve my overall health.
Looking Ahead
I’m eager to explore the data related to other health aspects as well. I believe that being more aware of my physical and mental health will help me set and achieve my daily goals. Overall, I’m really enjoying my experience with the Samsung Galaxy Ring and look forward to using it more in the future!
Being a Geek Squad member also helped in the purchase of the ring when it went on sale to members only!
