S3 S7 Edge S9 Plus And now the S20 Plus. They get progressively better, faster, with bigger screens, more storage and longer lasting batteries. The bigger screen with excellent, sharper resolution is definitely better on my 64 year old eyes. The loss of earphone Jack doesn't matter for me since I use Beoplay E8 earbuds. You're getting a Samsung phone and you faithfully know what you're going to get. More of the same except bigger better and faster. I like that this one feels a little heavier and heftier in the hand. There's nothing delicate about this phone. Plus there's less of a curved screen on this one. Of course I do use a variety of cases since it is so freaking expensive. I also like the fact that there's a pre-installed screen protector. Does take quite a few tries to get used to the on-screen fingerprint reader. If you add your thumbprint first from the bottom and then same thumbprint again starting from the side, you should have better luck using the fingerprint scanner. At least, it did for me. Also don't mind the pre-installed software since it's fairly customizable. There's really nothing you can fault about this phone except of course, the price. There's really no reason to go in to an in-depth review here since anyone looking for a Samsung phone has already watched the boatload of unboxing\reviews on YouTube. This phone keeps me a Samsung fan.

Upgrading from my 4 year old phone and this is just night and day. The battery basically lasts the entire day with moderate use, the screen looks great, 120hz is very nice, it's a quick phone/very snappy. The all glass design is very nice looking, but it's pretty slick and a fingerprint magnet.... I haven't gotten a case yet, but I think this one will need it because of how slippery the glass could get. The UI works pretty well. It's expensive, but in line with the other high end phones.

The Samsung S20+ is AMAZING. I recently upgraded from my five or six year old Galaxy 6 edge plus, and OMG! The camera captures breath takingly beautiful images. The 5G is so very fast and having 128gb of memory is like the icing on the cake. The battery life is also outstanding. It charges 3 times faster than my Edge+ did. The only minor issue is the charger has no UBS end so is not compatible with my vehicle port...

+very smooth going from app to app, day and a half battery life if in 4g, great size and usable without my glasses, ease of customization, very nice pictures without effort and editing, quick charging, beautiful blue color from Best Buy, overall a great phone to use -front screen gets scratched way too easily (not even sure how or what), battery life in 5g goes much faster, no headphone jack (expected with most phones now). The scratches are the worst. They may just be in the protective shield that comes pre-installed, but they are truly awful with no reason to be there

    120hz Display is it!

Simply put this phone is good! By far the best feature is 120hz display. It may not seem like much of a change but when I look at my wife's iphone 11 Pro Max, the difference is ridiculous. The camera is great as well. Not the best but definitely does not disappoint. The s20 Plus was the choice for me because of the larger screen, and bigger battery. Speaking of the battery, I use my phone for work and am on my phone most of the day and have no issues with it lasting all day. I typically end my day at around 30% battery life remaining. In all the only reason I took off a star was the price. Apple and Samsung have gotten a little too far off the deep end with their prices.

    The Upgrade Experience

Like most buyers, this is my upgrade choice from my Samsung Note 8. It's how a 3 year newer phone should feel. Bright display, fast and fluid response. I personally don't mind Samsung's One UI experience but like most would prefer stock Android. The big concern I had was that the 120hz refresh rate for the display is only at 1080p resolution. If you are considering a $1200 smart phone, you should be able to use at 1440p... But having now used the phone at the lower resolution I don't mind or notice the lower pixel count but do feel and see the snappiness of the refresh rate. (Take with a grain of salt... Rumor is that 120hz is coming to 1440p via software update. It could be within 1-3 months of release) The camera is, excellent. I feel like a lot of cameras this generation somehow are attempting to improve on zoom quality, which to me is not a major feature I need. Is rather focus on better dark/night capture and color. It does well in both fronts coming from my Note 8 but wish for more. Should you buy this phone? Yes, I love it and find the features and device excellent. But if the price is a concern, get last generation it wait for the first big sale. If you have a newer device then I'd wait as it may not be as great a leap as I am enjoying.

I was looking for a plus sized phone that A. accepted a memory card, B was "waterproof" C. Somewhat future-proof. Someone suggested the Samsung S20+ 5G. After research found it hit all the buttons. Memory card up to 1Tb, Waterproof IP68, AX wifi, both 5G bands, Snapdragon 865. As last year's model getting a bit hard to find. No Best Buy anywhere close stocked it nor did ATT. Ordered from Best Buy, arrived a week later. Best Buy had the best price by far. Phone is incredibly fast and smooth. Easy to scroll by what you are looking for on a page it is so quick. Upgraded from S8+, this one is a smidge narrower and taller. Hardwired between the two phones and transferred everything over, so overall much of the look and feel is the same. The fingerprint sign in has been nearly flawless probably 95% on the first attempt.

Upgraded from an iPhone 8 because the iOS is riddled with bugs from crashing, SIM card detection issues to dropping BlueTooth connections, and battery drain. Strengths 1. Bright, large, and high resolution screen 2. 120Hz screen - better on the eyes and gaming 3. Samsung Dex - converting phone to desktop mode on a computer. 4. Longer battery life (1800mah vs 4500mah) 5. USB C - compatible with all modern devices, no more proprietary connections 6. Cheaper accessories 7. Has fingerprint biometric scanner, which iPhone 11 doesn't have 8. Much better camera quality - pictures are sharper and more accurate colors. 9. Supports micro-SDXC up to 1TB, iphone doesn't support any additional memory. 10. No dropped Bluebooth connections with wireless earbuds Weaknesses 1. 120Hz is only at 1080p 2. 120Hz drains battery fast, 60Hz - longer battery 3. Steep learning curve, compared to a iPhone 4. Samsung tool didn't move all my iphone contacts over to phone. Had to manually add 100 contacts. 5. $1200 is still steep for a phone.

I upgraded from a Motorola z2 to this. So far I love the phone. The viewing area is immense and the camera takes sharp pictures. I am still learning all the different camera features this phone offers. One con for me. Is that if I am holding the phone in between my hands in order to watch a video or play a game, the phone will sense a touch from the very edges of the screen, which can interfere with operation. Otherwise the phone is fast and beautiful.

Upgraded from my Galaxy S7 Edge to this, so of course there's a lot to love. Very fast, the under-screen thumbprint reader and face ID are great security options, amazing camera quality. The best thing is probably the battery, though. I can spend a whole day on my phone and have only had it drop to 42% by bedtime, when my old phone would have needed to be charged twice. My favorite phone I've had so far.

I had this phone for over 2 years now and this is the best phone I purchased so far among the Samsung Galaxy Line up. I used a galaxy Note 8 & Galaxy S6 before and this phone is more durable than the Note 8 & S6. I recommend this product for its speed, security, camera and picture quality, battery time and storage space.

Replaced a Samsung J3 with this phone. This phone is faster, with more features than you can use. It's bigger than the J3 in size, but not too big. The camera is excellent, with outstanding quality. The screen design is "nice," and and anything on it looks great. Although still very expensive, like all cell phones today, the price was a little more tolerable during the holiday promotions.

I have had my new Samsung S20+ for about 30 hours and feel it is the best phone that I have ever owned. The transfer of files was quick but not all apps made the transition. All of my app logins needed to be reestablished which I did with the much improved fingerprint logins. The apps response time appears to be much better than my S10. The weight of the phone is noticeably heavier than my S10 but the trade-off is the much larger battery. I have yet to try out all of the camera options. Unfortunately, I did not receive the Samsung rebate to use at the Samsung store. I strongly recommend this upgrade from the Galaxy S10.

Noticeable improvements to the camera, SD and in board storage over a TB, super fast chargers, multi day batteries, and more lives up to the Samsung name-"Big and Powerful." The previous series phone has very distinctive one of a kind colors available, that distinguished them from the crowd, but these choices are subdued.

This phone is so much faster than the S8 I had. Takes amazing pictures and the screen is amazing. My wife just got the iPhone 11 and I think this is so much better in speed and the looks of the screen. Scrolling this phone is crazy with the 120 hz refresh rate.

I upgraded from a Samsung S8 (experienced battery swelling and therefore dangerous). I read many reviews for the newer phones and decided on the S20+ because I also wanted the option of the microSD card. Although I wasn't ready to upgrade because I was very happy with my S8, I am so glad I did. For those who would notice a higher refresh rate (120hz), you can expect to see a difference. I haven't figured out all the extras yet because I have only had the phone a week but excited to explore all that is available. It comes with a screen protector already added. The screen is very large and I am glad I got the "plus" version but the regular one would have been acceptable. There are many deals out there to choose from to best fit your needs.

The design is not much different from my S10, but the performance is superior. Larger screen but can still be used with one hand. The 120 refresh rate makes it so responsive and quick. The price was right as well

I replaced my Note 8 with this phone. It's hefty memory and fast processor make it a breeze. But the best factor is that finally I have a Galaxy line product that keeps a charge for a full day and then some.
