This is a review of the Samsung S20 5G -- amazing, useful, great improvement over my S8. But it is also a review of my purchasing experience. If possible, I buy from My Best Buy for both personal and business. Their habit as I am checking out of saying "I can get you a better price and charge you less", always leaves me speechless. And I can get my hands on the product! I traded in one phone, and bought two S20's. I expected as with other ways of buying I would get two boxes and "figure it out". Instead they walked me to the phone section and the amazing Jay in the South Setauket store proceeded to dump my full S8 into the bigger S20. He wouldn't give up -- it took until midnight(!) to get it transferred and when I came in the next morning I had a new phone will all my stuff. (My fault -- waaaay too many apps and photos.) Yes you can click icons on an on-line site, but what a difference having a real, skilled person deliver a real product! I shouldn't have been surprised -- I buy everything practical from MY Best Buy.

Great Phone. Very easy to transfer all apps from previous phone. Camera is excellent and easy to use. The processor is FAST. One of the few phones that is still small enough to fit in you pocket. The Cyber Monday sale price was the best I've seen

If you can get past the lack of Micro sd and slightly less memory. The phone is great overall. It performs tasks quickly and the camera is solid. I bought the phone when it was on sale, so there was a lot of value for the price.

Overall, a great phone. Sweet camera (a BIG Plus). Some changes I don't like: A) No micro card slot. I prefer a card to the cloud. B) All the buttons are on the right side of the phone- which creates two problems; 1-if you're left-handed, it's annoying to use volume controls or screenshot function. 2- the screenshot is achieved by pressing two of those three buttons simultaneously- and they are crowded. I get a lot of volume adjustment, and not so many screenshots. C) Battery life still sucks. Short battery is why I trade in a phone since the batteries are no longer an easy swap-out. Your mileage may vary.

I went from an S9 to an S20 and I love it. Very fast, great screen and excellent camera. So far, battery life has been great. I only wish it had an Micro SD card slot. Overall, great phone. Best Buy had a great price on it as well.

I assume Verizon had Samsung cut corners with their version of the Galaxy S20 to have the "Ultra Wideband" capabilities. For now, all it is just lots of fluff. With 5G not even available everywhere, it will be hard to determine right now whether it's going to be worth it over the "regular" 5G capable phones. Bestbuy did a bum job listing this phone for pre-order several weeks ago, toting it with "expandable" memory. When I got the phone, I was livid there was no microsd expansion. I wasn't as mad with the lesser RAM, but that's another issue. I returned this dumbed down version and got the Galaxy S20+. While I rather not have a bigger phone, lacking the microsd card expansion is a major letdown. As of 6/12/20 when I'm writing this review, Bestbuy hasn't fully fixed the whole spec sheet for this phone. Still says "Expandable memory up to 1000 gigabytes". Fix it Bestbuy.

What can I say that hasn't been said. This phone is very nice. It's size was one of my biggest concerns, as I'm more of smallish phone kinda guy, but the size on the standard s20 is pretty comfortable and easy to use with one hand. The phone exudes premium quality, which can be felt with the wonderful feeling curved edge and seen in the crisp, 120hz near-full screen display. Speaking of 120 hz, its amazing-once you try it, you'll never want to go back. I think the camera punch-hole looks nice and never seems to get in the way, certainly better than an obscene notch. Anyway, if this is on sale for 550 like when I got it, and you're in the market for a new phone, its a near must-buy.

Performs well and fast on 5G, A variety of apps and plenty of room to transfer all your stuff from your last phone. Also an excellent camera systems that give quality photos with ease.

I like the phone, I d not care for the no headphone jack or the front finger print. Otherwise is is simple to use similar to the 9 and 10

Love this new phone. Good upgrade from my S9 in terms of screen, battery life/faster charge and an awesome camera. Great price with no trade in required from Best Buy!

I am so happy I got the S20. I upgraded from an S7 and it is so much better. The battery life is amazing, and I love the camera features. I still sometimes reach for the volume buttons on the left, but I'll get used to the new location soon. I really like the face recognition for unlocking the phone. It makes using it so much easier. I like the screen that takes up the whole phone, too. It makes it seem much bigger then the S7, but is still almost the same size.

It's a great phone. I had the mid range model a51 and returned it because it just wasn't cutting it. I figured, since I use my phone hours and hours a day, a good phone is worth the price, and the s20 is definitely worth the price. However I just wish it had a couple of things like the notification LED light for missed calls or text messages. The s9 and earlier models all had it. Why can't this one just have it? It must be really cheap for them to add it! I find myself constantly checking my phone if I'm expecting a call or text from someone. And I like to have my phone on silent, so the LED light is critical. Also, the finger print sensor is on the screen as opposed to the back. It's more convinient but makes phone screens impossible to use. Writing about what I like would take far too long, so it's just easier to say what I don't like and assume everything else about the phone to be good, otherwise I'd complain about it.

I upgraded to this from a Galaxy S7. It is notably faster. Images and video taken on the camera look great. The screen looks fantastic. For some reason I had trouble finding a case and screen protector that were compatible (the screen protector would get pushed up on one edge). After a while I gave up, kept my Caseology case but just took the risk of not using any screen protector at all after trying two and having the same issue on both. That little issue aside (which may just be an issue with the case I chose) it's a great phone.

So much better than my pixel 3. this is a perfect size, gorgeous display, fast speeds, wifi calling. everything i want from a phone

Got this for my spouse. They love the speed, the design, the feel in your hand. Lots of great things to say. Upgraded from the Note 9. Wasn’t using the stylus anyway. In 4 days the screen developed a spider web crack. From the power button across the screen. Up down and across. The phone was immediately put in a case. A Spigen case from the first second it was turned on and the phone wasn’t dropped. I hope the longevity is ok with this device.

The camera quality is really good. Super fast. Easy to navigate. Best of all was the promotion on the phone.

Great phone for the Price. Takes beautiful pictures. Fast response and easy to learn. Very satisfied.

Love the size, speed, and battery longevity! I only have to charge the battery once a day!

Overall this is a great phone. My 1 drawback is Verizon specific. There is no expansion slot for the phone with Verizon service. I feel cheated and deceived. There is fine print buried on the website that explains this, but it should be prominent. So, shame on Samsung for making this carrier specific model. However, the battery is great so far and performance is awesome.

Great screen, great battery life. Great camera. Super quick. I can't complain. I love it!
