Watch the wording on this. This is an S20+, not an S20 plus 5G! I feel this wording is deceiving.

I am coming from a Google Pixle 2XL which I had for almost 3 yrs. I was waiting for the 5XL to come out but got tired of waiting. Although the Google phone is much easier to use I am figuring it out and I am very impressed so far with the speed battery of this one. I haven't really used the camera yet but it's next on my list. So far so good but I think the Google phone is much easier to use. I give it 5 stars because the more I use it the more I figure things out. Once I get it down I think I will like it better then the Google phone. I got a good deal from Best Buy and was talking to the Samsung rep for at least a 1/2 hour. Stay tuned

    Great, long lasting device

This has been and continues to be a great phone. In just a couple weeks, I will have had this phone for two years. I've never had a single issue with it. It's as fast, if not faster, that when I bought it. Samsung pushes out updates quickly and the updates that do get pushed out have a positive impact on the phone, unlike some other companies. I have the latest iPhone, but I choose to use the two year old Galaxy. I just enjoy the experience more.

I bought this coming from a Pixel phone. Right off the bat my Android version got downgraded from 11 to 10. No phone screening. The fingerprint reader is awful. It is why I'm getting rid of this phone. It takes too long, there's no mark for where to put my thumb when the screen is dark. I can't get in to my phone! Just so aggravating. So many small features missing coming from the Pixel. I can't stand it and I'm getting rid of it. The cameras are very nice and it the photos look great. It is a quality phone.

    Stay Away

First hand experience, S20 Plus is a super sleek sexy browsing device and really liked it when purchased. I expect at some point 5G is going to give us faster speeds over LTE. However, the S20 family of phones are flawed on a more fundamental level and that is it has a huge bug with not receiving calls 95% of the time so it requires the owner to continually restart the phone. So it's unclear if the problem is with the S20 hardware or 5G network, and I expect sooner or later some smart people will figure it out and fix it, but for now only consider purchasing this fancy device if you plan to volunteer your time as the Samsung test tech and invest countless hours on the phone with the network provider support team. highly recommend googling the key words: S20 not receiving calls on Samsung's blogs.

Could be good, but drops wifi connection

The S20+ replaced my S7 Edge and would have been a good upgrade. With everything considered, the S20+ is a four or five star phone easily. However, after only a day or two after activation, I started get wifi connection issues. This happens 10-20 times a day where the wifi says it's still connected, but there is no internet access. It stops apps from working correctly and you can't do a video call for more than 30 seconds until it freezes or drops. I researched the issue and tried rebooting the router and modem, forgetting and reestablishing the network, etc. etc. all to no avail. No other devices on my network have this issues and my old S7 edge didn't have this issue (I wish I hadn't traded it in). Unfortunately, it's black eye on an otherwise good device. Unless something changes with this wifi connection issue, this is a 0 of 5 stars phone and I can't recommend anyone purchase it

    I regret buying this phone

The first S20+ had to be returned for myriad reasons but mostly because people could not hear me, calls kept dropping, and the Bluetooth function was sporadic at best. The replacement had been OK until today. The phone has frozen repeatedly, it has given me repeated messages that it cannot read my SIM card (yes, that's SIM, not SD), and now the camera lens cracked. (Resolving the first two issues required multiple restarts.) The camera lens appears to have cracked when I placed -- that's placed, not dropped or tossed -- the phone on my coffee table. I thought I heard a noise but didn't think much of it. About five hours later, I happened to turn the phone over to find one of the lenses is no longer usable. On both phones, the screen protector is a joke. The current one has got more dings than my old phone's Otterbox glass protector had after many years. In one place, it is peeling. The phone is less than a month old. I do have a protection plan, but given the poor performance thus far, I am weighing my options whether to use it or pay out of pocket for this fix. I don't want to have to worry about something worse and more costly breaking without replacement coverage. Amusingly, as I type this, nothing is happening other than the screen flashing. Waiting... Best Buy is offering only replacements at this time. I was advised to contact Samsung about repairs under the manufacturer's warranty. From the brief conversation with Samsung before the call dropped (I'm at home connected to wifi), this is an out-of-pocket fix as noted. I bought the S20+ because my old phone died, and there were few options at the store. (And we're frozen again... ) Right now, my S3 seems like a preferable and less headache-inducing option. I'm going to see if it works.
