The camera system on this phone is awesome. You would need a tripod to really take advantage of the higher-end zoom. The battery life is not as good as my Galaxy Note Eight, but overall it is a fantastic phone. I am no pro photographer, but I am having a lot of fun.

The S20 Ultra is a step up from my S9+...but...

I deliberately waited two model years to upgrade from my Galaxy S9+ because I wanted to get the most out of the S9+, and get the most for my money in technical advances. I think I my plan succeeded, but not as much as the hype promised. I got %G, that was probably the biggest advance, and even though I do get 5G from Sprint, where I live, 4G is still faster on the north side of Chicago.
As far as the display is concerned, I have been a great fan of Samsung's displays, and the Ultra is excellent, it seems to be as
great as the S9+...I am just used to their level of excellence.
I have to admit I have not played any games since I got it home,
but the in store display unit had a racing game playing, and that really did impress for it's colors and vividness. for surfing the net, and watching You Tube videos, the Ultra is better, faster to load
and the download speeds (4G) are mostly twice as fast as before.
The phone operates normally in 5G, even though the speeds
recorded by Speedtest are relatively tiny in comparison.
the biggest disappointments are the fingerprint scanner-only working 20-30% of the time-and then needing 5-6 tries. I have gone back to using a digital password. Haven't tried face recognition yet. the other disappointment is the reviews am seeing on You Tube, about the camera. Photos are looking dusty gray, not popping in vividness of colors. Been shut in a lot last two weeks, and nothing caught my eye to photograph. The same goes for video, reviews show it hunting for focus-it just looks shabby. Night/low light really does work much, much better!
in the end, was it worth $1400.00($1100.00 after very skimpy trade-in)(trade in increased by $100.00 yesterday!! What's up with that??) The extra battery is worth it-I can get TWO FULL DAYS on a charge-very happy!
These are my initial impressions-up dates to follow.

Yes, it is expensive, but worth the price. 5G is the main reason this phone brings Sprint and T-mobile together, perfectly. Screen is breath taking only issue is the 120hz refresh rate is not on the maximum screen resolution, sad, Phone functions extremely well battery life is great out all day and into the night holds it own, unless you can't stop playing with it. Speakers are awesome packs a punch making the little things wow and the big ones incredible watching movies or listening to music you do not need additional speakers, but if you want them they can be added and give more flexibility to your listening pleasure. To much hype over the size I had the S9 plus and the S20 Ultra is not that much bigger, heavier you will feel it, but it does not distract your experience. Samsung has done an excellent job with this product, but there is always room for improvement. I have had the S3, S5, S7, S9+, and now the S20 Ultra, each one is a great improvement over the last, Samsuns commitment to making the products more effective in delivering an amazing experience has been a great a journey into the future, today. Cost needs to be reduced, this phone needs to last me 3 years instead of the usual 2 years as all my phones have in the past since May 23, 1997 as a charter member of Sprint, now as a new member of the T-mobile family I only hope this phone will be able to provide us with a strong foundation for 5G, so far no real problems, have had the phone since March 5th, still have the original screen protector on still looks great, but I do have a Zagg screen protector ready to go. I have an OtterBox commuter case on it most often, and a Samsung s view case when need a more professional look. I usually keep it in my Nite Ize hard case this makes me feel safer as this phone is more than a phone, but an expensive companion that makes life easier and keeps me connected to pretty much everything. Added a little kool-aid, but I do love my phone.

great all around device. Gives you tablet like experience due to almost 7 inch screen plus you have LTE connectivity! The battery is amazing. The only phone where you don't have to worry about plugging in during the day. Other person, 129 he screen, beautiful display, camera is great too! Lots of versatility. Single shot is a lot of fun! Zoom is fun as well!

I have been a long time Samsung phone user since the Note II. This time I am upgrading from the S9+. The S20 Ultra's screen is gorgeous! The battery so far is impressive. And the processing power is a powerhouse. I specifically chose the S20 Ultra because I wanted a large Screen coming in at a whopping 6.9 inch display. That is .1 inch bigger than the Note 10+. Other than the price, there is only 3 differences from the Ultra vs. S20+ vs. S20.
1) Screen Size
2) Battery Capacity
3) Camera Specs
Of course the Ultra has the biggest screen, most battery capacity, and more cameras and specs. But they all have the same processor chip. The snapdragon 865. Oh, and the Ultra can charge with a 45w wall charger that is NOT included. But I am very pleased with the 25w wall charger that is included.
So it has only been a week and I am more than pleased. I did pre-order this phone which came with $150 off and a $200 Samsung Shop gift card. You can only purchase items on the Samsung Shop app and it is a one time use. I got the Galaxy Buds +, another 25w wall charger, and a USB c to USB c cable all with 3 cents to spare. I would recommend any of the S20s to anybody. To chose between which S20 is pretty much preference. Preference of screen size is probably the biggest factor.

Another solid phone for Samsung. Great battery life and a much improved night site photos. The 100× zoom is great for using as binoculars but not practical for picture taking.
The biggest cons with the s20 Ultra are the huge price tag and lackluster phone design. Overall a top notch phone.

This phone is definitely heavier that my last Saturday Galaxy but I'm getting used to it. The larger screen is nice for reading articles and watching movies. The camera and video have lots of neat features. Overall very happy with my purchase.

This phone has everything a normal person would want. Disadvantages are, as been repeatedly noted, price and weight. I traded in a Galaxy S10+ which made the price acceptable for me and I will be getting a $200 card from Samsung as I pre-ordered the phone. While I have taken some photos, I have not yet fully explored its capabilites. The ones I have taken were great.

I really needed a new phone and this is really nice. It's a bigger phone but not obtrusive, the size is great. The options on the phone are a great upgrade from what I have. Clarity is great on the screen and takes good photos. The only complaint, and this is with Samsung in general, is I wish it was easier to get music and video files uploaded to the phone.

I upgraded from the Galaxy S8+ and it was worth the wait. The camera is amazing the zoom is awesome but isnt as shown like in commercials. Still great camera quality and the 16GB of ram is nice for all the apps I use in the background. The battery is amazing 100% lasts me the entire day. worth 1500 no at least 1200 but not 1500

Everything on this is amazing. Go to a youtube video with hdr 60fps and enjoy. Out of the box youll want to make sure everything is to your liking, had to change camera to the legendary 108mp and from the basic video to the 4k 60fps. 8k video cool but who has an 8k tv yet lol. Favorite is the 120 hertz screen for gaming you also have to go to display settings to turn that on and only compatible with 1080p screen settings but youre not sacrificing much.
