My experience with the S7 edge has been really nice, Angel, a Samsung rep in Champaign IL, got me sold on the phone. To be honest, the only reason I purchased the phone was because I got a $250.00 best buy gift card!!!!! I really wanted the note 5, but they didn't have it. Angel did an excellent job selling me the phone and was really informative. Tip her. She almost had me sold on the tab pro s. Also, I never use the edge features. I see no reason too. Just an extra function I need to perform. Never had it on other phones why use it now? Just my thinking. The design of the phone is very sharp and takes crystal clear pictures. I've always enjoyed Samsung phones because they are top notch and are not scared to be different and make changes. I looked at apples new phones and was like, 'it looks just like the 6, 5 and 4, etc.' The feel of the phone is wonderful and love the fact its water proof and accepts an SD card. Best buy had a 128gig SD card for $90.00 off so I got that for $30.00.Good deal I think. My only problem with the overall size is that the edges of the phone is small. There's no bulk, it's really thin. The sides from the top, edge down and the sides from the bottom, edge up making it feel skinny. Purchasing a case, an otterbox, which they had on sale remedied that. It's snappy, fast, has great and convenient apps. I would of preferred the note 5 because it feels better in my hand and has the s pen. Plus it was a little bigger. S7 edge is 5.5 and note 5 is 5.7. So a little difference. S7 edge is really nice though!!!! I only bought it because of the $250.00 gift card. I'll just pay this phone off and sale it to a close friend to get more money then if I took it to a store and then pick up the note 8 next year. If I pay it off within the next few months I'll probably sell it for 600 with SD card and otterbox case and use it for the note 8.

I owned a Galaxy Note 4, then I bought the Galaxy Note 5 and the upgrade from 4 to 5 was a good one. The 5 was the best phone on the market and can still compete in 2016. That being said, I feel the S7 Edge is an update to the Note 5, better processor, water and dust resistant, the edge features are a plus, and the size is perfect for me. The only thing I miss is the stylus. The S7 Edge is a little higher priced but that was expected. You'll love the S7 Edge

    Best phone I've ever owned!!!

The galaxy S7 Edge is by far the best phone I have ever owned. I've primarily owned iPhones and windows phones but stayed away from Android because of all the reviews saying android crashes and has considerable lag. But, I was getting tired of the iPhone and looking at the same OS phone after phone, I needed a change. This review will be mostly for people looking to switch. I had been using an nvidia shield for a while which runs on android and had never really had an issue with it so I started looking at android phones. Unfortunately none of them really caught my eye until samsung announced the S7. When I saw the pictures I thought it looked absolutely stunning. I pre-ordered the phone without trying it out or holding it in my hand and boy am I glad I did! There is just so much to love about this phone. The screen is just beautiful. I thought my iPhone 6+ screen looked great until I put the two side by side and its not even close. The display is much sharper on the S7 and the colors really stand out. Try it for yourself, the iPhone screen looks washed out compared to the S7. I loved the always on display of my windows phones and really missed it once I went back to iPhone. It's kinda nice to glance at your phone to see the date, time or if you have any new notifications without pressing any buttons on the phone. The S7 screen is very sensitive and I find that's a good thing. I felt with my iPhone that it didn't pick up finger presses sometimes where as the S7 will register an input even holding my finger ever so slightly above the screen. Oh and try using your fingernail to navigate your iPhone, nope. The camera on the phone is great, certainly one of the best I've used, although I'm still not sure it's better than my lumia 1020. Wireless charging, once you use it you won't want to go back to using a cord. The ability to use this phone with the gear vr which is just to cam cool, but thats a whole other review! There are little things in the OS that you will notice that are so simple you'll wonder why the heck don't other phones have this feature. For example, say you're on Facebook and you get a text, instead of jumping out of Facebook, and going to your messages, with android a box pops up giving you the option to close the notification or reply within that box to the person without having to close out of any apps or open another. When calling someone, simply choose your contact and put the phone up to your ear and it starts dialing. Say you're texting someone and don't feel like texting them anymore, you would just rather call them. There is a call button in the messaging app, simply tap that to call the person your texting. Double tap your home button to get straight to the camera from any screen even if the phone is off. The ability to customize almost every thing in the OS such as themes, icons, launchers, colors and keyboards. Speaking of keyboards, swipe is just great on android, works much better than the iPhone version. Android allows a lot of different types of apps such as torrent apps, emulators, file system apps and remote desktop apps. These are just a few of the little things that may seem gimmicky or that you don't think you will use but you quickly get used to them then wonder how you did without them in the past. Now as with every product there are some negatives. No imessage, but iquickly got over that. To be honest, the edge screen is cool but I don't really find it useful. In fact I find the phone a little hard to use without a case because my fingers touch the edge of the screen and accidentally open apps. Having a case has eliminated this issue and knowing this I would still choose the Edge over the regular S7 to get the larger screen and bigger battery. Speaking of battery, I can make it a full day on a single charge which is what I got out of my iPhone. The thing I've noticed though is that even if the phone sits doing nothing, the battery still draws down. I've let my iPhone sit for a day and lost like 2% battery. Those things sip barret juice when idle. I have encountered a few app crashes, mostly on the gear vr end. I did download an app that refused to load which makes me wonder how the heck it made its way into the app store. Aside from these few minor gripes, I haven't had any real issues. There is a bit of a learning curve going from one os to another but no biggie. So in conclusion, the phone is great to look at both screen wise and cosmetically, it's much more flexible in terms of apps and customization and has some nice features both hardware and software wise. At this point I don't think I could go back to Apple as I would just feel too restricted.

I have been using the Galaxy line for years now. This one is great, except it needs a few fixes. Pros: fast, beautiful pictures, great size, very user friendly, nice weight, good apps, can hold an SD card for expandable memory, call volume no problem. Cons: not all apps work well, keeps knocking me out of wifi. Overall very pleased.

So this replaced my old IPhone 5. I had got it when it first came out in 2012 or 13 I can't remember. That was my first smart phone and it worked well. This phone far exceeds that one. I picked this up last December. I tend to wait a while when it comes to buying a new phone to see if one is worth buying like the Note 7 which I was initially going to go with (dodged a bullet there). I was close to going with the IPhone 7 Plus as well, but after a couple of trips to the store and trying them out I decided to go with this one. Going from IOS to Android wasn't as big a learning curve as I thought it would be although I still find new features even now. It's fast and responsive. The screen looks great. The speaker not so much but I can live with that or just pop in my headphones. I really don't have anything negative to say other that the battery doesn't last as long as I would like but that seems to be the case with most newer smart phones these days. Just gotta remember to keep a charger handy.

I have been buying Galaxy smartphones since the S2. After many reviews and articles regarding the S7 Edge, I decided to purchase this device... & I am glad that I did. This is the first smartphone that I can use for 2 days without charging. The phone is snappy & responsive. The fingerprint reader works flawlessly and is very quick. The camera is top notch, with excellent focus, low light shot capabilities, and replete with advanced features for pro users. I also like the design of the phone (despite it being slippery - so you need some sort of case/skin). Not to mention the fact that Samsung brought back the microSD slot for external storage. My only gripe with the phone is that I wish it implemented an active display like MotoX that is not always on & has third party app support. Other than that, this is a solid purchase.

Got for my wife replacing S5 and she loves it. Big screen and battery life is excellent. She uses camera and facebook lots and it works great for her. Added a 32 gig SD card for her pics. Seems to have really good reception too, as we live in rural area. Good phone...

Very happy with the phone so far. Takes amazing pictures. Example: I was able to take a picture of a full moon - over the lake, at 1 a.m. that looks like a professional photo. The videos are equally amazing, being able to slow them down, almost to the frame, and watch the event unfold. Some of the preloaded apps are unnecessary and useless. The battery life seem to be good based on the amount of use during the day. The processor is much faster than previous Galaxy S phones. Overall the phone is very easy to use and efficient to navigate multiple actions.

I've owned several Samsung phones some have been good and some good with small to major issues ranging from choppiness in the OS , unwanted extras to bad material choices Last year I thought Samsung had come a long way from what we had seen in the past with better material choices and OS which lead me to purchase the s6 edge over the s6 for choice of something different and new after owning my experience was mostly postive and the camera proved to be what I ended up liking the most only longing for a bigger battery..better use edge screen to justify the extra $100 and of course bigger screen..Well this year with the s7 edge we get that plus more..."like I said in my review summary " Great phone that if you have doubts read the reviews out there ..then try for yourself ..and see if you agree !

The phone is very slim. The screen is a beautiful display. Feeling nice and rigid in your hands. Ip68 certified. Is water resistant, dropped it in the sink doing dishes and phone still works perectly. Battery life is great, about 50% charge left after using all day. Speaker is nice and loud. Headset speaker is clear. Camera take very nice and clear picturesome compared to previous Samsung models. Expandable memory with Microsoft SD card is back!

I didn't think I was going to love this phone as much as I did. I've had it for about a month now, and its a very very solid phone. I upgraded from the Note 3 which I had had for about 2 years. There is absolutely no lag with this phone so far, which was a vital feature for me. The battery life so far is much better, even with bluetooth and location settings connected all day long. It has a plethora of extra software features for ease of use, including the split screen mode and the side swipe. I like the silent mode which I can program for set hours so that I don't get any sounds overnight when I'm sleeping and I don't have to think about programming it every night. It has qi charging built in so that you can place it on a charging pad without any accessories to purchase. Also if you buy the samsung version of the mophie juice pack, it snaps right in and charges via fast qi wireless which is so easy and convenient. It feels solid and looks pretty good in black. I'm not a big fan of the other colors personally. Also it really easily connects wirelessly with my tv and laptop as needed. Samsung really worked out a lot of the kinks from prior models and this is a great phone. Hopefully the battery life stays good and doesn't lose its capacity too fast.... I am already seeing a slight decrease in capacity from the first 2 weeks, but still not bad. I can get through the entire day with moderate to heavy use without it dying on me. I also placed a 128gb sd card in it which should be more than enough. It does go up to as much as 256gb capacity. Go for it if you like android, its a great phone!

I moved from ios to android and i felt like coming back home. Phone display , camera clarity amazing. Black colour looks superb, as it merge well with the screen. Iphone 6 was so borning and this phone feels very exciting. God a great deal in Best Buy with AT&T connection. Battary easily works for day and half with moderate data usage throught day The screen is BEAUTIFUL. Not only is it easy to read even in direct sunlight (something I have seen other devices struggle with) but the colors are vibrant and the screen is huge without making the phone too big or bulky. Perfect for watching YouTube videos and browsing. Lastly a few notes if you buy this phone: - If you're not a fan of the stock Samsung launcher you can get the Google Now launcher from the Play Store, it's the same one used on Nexus devices and feels smoother than Samsung's launcher. - This time around Samsung decided to give you bigger icons which drove me nuts, search for "Get more on your Galaxy S7, S6 or Note 5 screen with hidden DPI scaling settings" from Android authority to get a 5th column on the home screen and smaller UI elements. - "Edge functionality" is just okay. The feature feels a bit less than polished because of the weak offerings in the Samsung app store - I have it turned off.

Smaller than most large screen phones.. The curved edges feel good - I've got in in a case with the screen fully exposed - slips into my pocket like a charm. After waiting months for the Note 7 to come out.. I had to return it due to that pesky spontaneous combustion thingy. I was going to use the 7 Edge until the new Note's came in.. but decided that I liked this phone and planned to keep it. (good thing since they had problems with the replacement Note 7's too) Samsung Pay is cool, stores are constantly telling me that they aren't equipped for smart phone payments.. but, then surprised when mine works. The pictures are good and the camera is speedier than in the past. Fingerprint scanner works well. Good call quality and excellent battery life. My fourth Samsung phone (not including the Note 7 for those few weeks) and the best phone and feature set that I've owned.. and better than anything else that I could find on the market.

I switched from the iPhone 5S to this and am very pleased so far. The screen upsize was significant but very manageable for me. Likes: - Variety of apps offered (compared to apple) - 12mp & 5mp cameras with night enhancement - SD card slot - Battery life is long - Fast charging (1%-80% in about an hour) - The waterproof quality (I avoid submersion, but am confident it could take it) - The screen hardness (I do not have a case on it and it has survived many drops without a scratch) - I have it abroad in europe and have had no problems yet (I am using it without cellular services or data) - It's a good looking phone that receives a lot of positive comments Dislikes: - Sometimes while typing, my hand will hit the curved screen edge. This stops you from typing more characters and will often insert a P or Q where it shouldn't be. Easily fixed with auto correct turned on. - The edge functions are limited. I don't use them very often because there isn't much point. Overall: The phone is very similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, but I'm glad I chose the S7 Edge rather than the regular S7 or Note 5. I would highly recommend the phone.

Same review I wrote about the Gold version. The Galaxy S7 Edge is one fast phone. I love how it doesn't get bogged down when you have a ton of apps open. That's due to the 4GB of RAM this phone has installed for us. Samsung got smart and added the Micro SD card slow back to the phone as well. My wife and I love the Edge and the extra features that the Edge brings. If you want to save a few dollars, get the regular S7. I also like the fact that this phone is water proof. Yes, Water Proof. You can put this phone in up to 5 feet of water for 30 mins and nothing will happen to it. I use my phone in the rain now without worrying about it getting wet. If you are in the market for an Android phone add this phone to your list of devices you should research. It's one nice phone. Oh, one more thing, the camera is amazing and super fast to launch and take pictures with. And it works excellent in really low light. You can also record video in 4k 30fps, 1080p 30FPS with HDR, 1080p 60FPS, and a few more modes. Finally a phone that is blazing fast and doesn't slow down under heavy use.

After a few months of use, I am still in love with my S7 Edge. I have a few nitpicky things that have more to do with Android OS than the phone itself. The camera is even more awesome than the S6. I love the curved edges and the edge panels that can be personalized. So far, storage hasn't been an issue since I do use an SD card. My biggest negative is that there is no battery access or ability to change out the battery. This is a concern for how long the phone will actually last. (We have 4 of the Galaxy S4's that all were purchased within the 1st year of that model, that are still in use and functioning properly. I did have to replace a couple of the batteries about 6 months ago.) The battery life is pretty good and it does have fast charge and wireless charging capabilities. Love the large screen. I don't use any VR gear so I can't speak about that feature. I do wish there was a better color selection. All-in-all, this is a great phone and I do recommend it.
