I bought my Galaxy S8 a year and six months ago, and it is the best smart phone I've had. It has the fastest processing speed and has the best point and shoot camera, even better than my friend's iPhone X in some ways! The phone hasn't slowed or become faulty over time, even the battery seems to work like new. Hardly ever had an app crash, and I suspect the rare crashes that do occur are due to faults on the app, not in the phone.

I have only ever owned Android phones, particularly Samsung Galaxy phones (I also have three iPads) so I don’t dislike Apple products I just think the Samsung Galaxy S8 is a piece of art to look at. I definitely prefer this phone to anything else.

So I purchased this unlocked phone due to traveling for work and I need to be able to switch services when needed. The only problem I have had was the setup. The Best Buy representative did not set my cell up properly. I had to make numerous calls to my carrier to resolve the problem. But all in all great phone great camera great speed great for business purposes. Before you leave double check and make sure your phone is working properly before you leave like send and receive text messages, picture messages, calls internet etc..

My only complaint with this phone has been that the vibrate is weaker than some of its predecessors. I have a hard time feeling it through the case. Other than that, though, it is one of the best phones on the market. If you want a better camera, go with the Pixel 2, but this is far superior to the rest of the field. Great resolution, speed, battery life.

I feel like Samsung has done and evolved so much , truly this phone is an evolved masterpiece, and way ahead of what stupid apple is offering in its latest 8 and X phones. The screeen and camera are such awesome.. Overall 10/10 for the phone.

I purchased the Samsung S8 unlocked after reviewing it against the soon to be released S9 and the pixel 2. While both of the others have better camera's, I wanted a phone that would do what I wanted without paying flagship price. The S8 fits my needs. Some of the improvements on the S9 solve some small drawbacks that the S8 has, but as I am a long standing Verizon customer price of the pixel2 and S9 is a concern. Verizon will offer super deals if you switch to them, but NOTHING if you stay with them. Truly POOR marketing by Verizon - and that is why I bought the unlocked version. Battery life outstanding, performance superior, display great. Have had the phone for 2 weeks and the only complaint is you have to go online to learn about all of the features and how to use them.

Samsung hit it right out of the park with this one. Lowlight camera performance is exceptional The camera overall is amazing and leaps and bounds ahead of the iPhone. The screen has to seen to be believed. Colors and text are better than anything I have seen before. The Samsung launcher is better than before, but I still prefer Nova as it removes even the hint of lag from anything you can do on the phone and has endless customization. Bixby is useless and I disabled it right out of the gate. Overall, simply the phone you can buy right now.

This is awesome Samsung quality without most of the bloat ware. The unlocked phone is fast. The pictures are great and I've had no problems at all.

Better price point than S9. If you must have a thin Android phone this better than any LG. The battery, camera, storage, screen size, and cell antenna are better on the note 9 so that is what I really recommend.

I got a Samsung galaxy 7 and upgraded to the S8. This phone is faster and has longer battery life. They improve the camera on this phone also.

It is an amazing Phone! Battery last a whole day on average use, where my galaxy s 5 would barely last half a day sometimes. Good reliable phone. The one thing that kinda bugs me is the whole Bixby thing. But I hear she's a work in progress so don't feel like not getting it just because of Bixby. I don't have a problem with the finger scanner on the back by the lens works great unlocks immediately my finger is read so I actually really like it. If you have big hands with fats fingers might not be the thing for you. Overall love this phone!

Purchased this item as a gift for a friend. The intuitive screen is very user-friendly. The screen has a very pleasant sensation when touched and responds quickly. Love the phone's sleek, slim design. This is a perfect smart phone.

Can't say enough good things about the Samsung Galaxy S8. Stunning stock camera functions, great audio quality, connectivity is hassle free and ultra customizable. Probably my favorite thing is Bluetooth 5.0 being able to dual cast.

The best and fastest phone I have ever owned. Camera is second to none. Able to move photos around to where ever I need them. The fact that it is an unlocked phone is a plus.

I have been using this phone for just about a month now and wanted to wait before I left a review. Prior to this I was an Apple girl so you have to understand getting the hang of this device made me a little frustrated too. Alright so this is just about the phone and no comparison between the two makers. I hate the keyboard!! It has crashed on me only about three times a day. The phone has power cycled on it's own maybe twice so far. There are things I do like about it like okay google. Which I absolutely love now. The battery life is freaking awesome! I use my phone A LOT! and I literally only have to charge it once a day. I ordered a wireless charger and am very excited to try that next. Overall I give this device and average.

Previously had Galaxy S5 and while originally was a good phone and camera, as it got older the battery lost charge faster, the screen started to have a slow/dead spot, and was looking for upgraded camera that would do a little better in low light and further zoom. This is good upgrade, but had a lot of changes to system that has learning curve and was frustrating for a few days.The only real disappointment so far is how for the S7 & 8 they went the way of apple making the phone non-consumer friendly...not being able to open it and change out battery. For my old version I had spare battery besides spare memory card so if I was at an event taking video and photos of my son, I could open and swap out fresh battery & card if needed. Now cannot do anything yourself. If battery starts going bad, you'll have to take in for service or get new phone whether you were ready to consider upgrading for not.

PROBABLY THE BEST PHONE OUT THERE, THE ONLY THING THAT SUCKS IS THAT IT'S ALMOST COMPULSORY TO HAVE A CASE BECAUSE OF HOW FRAGILE THEY ARE, SO IT KIND OF RUINS THE DESIGN PART OF IT, OTHER THAN THAT IT'S JUST HIGH END QUALITY.

get either the s8 or s8+ both brilliant phones if you can afford the s8+ and don't mind a bigger phone then get the s8+ btw the S8 has excellent battery life(I have the s8) better than previous Iphones so you will be fine.

In the past I never really cared for Samsung phones but with the s8 it seems that they have finally gotten their act together.Its fast,plenty of storage plus a a sdcard slot,not real big and bulky and I like the curved screen

It's the first time that I got a Samsung Phone and I like it so much. For someone like me who likes taking pictures of both people, animals and nature as subject it takes quality pictures with almost perfect colors it's almost like you are using a DSLR camera with this, it's also user friendly not complicated like other phones OS.
