If your the type of person who hates having a big bulky case, then this phone is for you. Has a rugged design so there's really no need for case, and the screen is shatterproof. Although based on the reviews I have researched you do need to add a screen protector to prevent the shatterproof screen from scratching.

Was trying to decide between the S8 and S8 Active, in the end went with the Active. The extra battery capacity on the Active is nice, wireless charging in my truck works 100% compared to the hit and miss on my previous S7. Have dropped it a few times and not a single scratch.

My only complaint is the expense of the screen... this is an upgrade from the 7 active and the screen was more than that phone is worth. I chose to pay for insurance this time. My husband bought the same model a year ago and his battery has greatly decreased the ability to hold a charge where my new one can last for 2 days. You can't replace the battery yourself either. But, with a pre-schooler, water happens and the active is still the best choice for us.

This is finally the galaxy that holds a charge and can do it all plus handle the abuse. Only downside is Bixby turning on when you don't want it by hitting the hutton vs the volume. Still amazing overall.

This is a good upgrade from the Samsung s7 active, a lot of more functions!

I got this phone wed and have really liked it so far. It lags once in a while and ive already had it crash on me so that's not a good sign. WIll post update in a few months.

This phone is great for any person who is prone to dropping their phone. I have had mine for a year and have dropped it countless times without the screen cracking.

I was torn between this (S8 Active) and the regular S8. I probably would have been happy with either, but am glad I opted for the Active. It's somewhat more durable, but the biggest plus is the extra battery life.

My S8 Active is a couple years old now and has seen it's share of abuse with no problems. My Note phones were always getting damaged but the Active keeps on going just like that famous Bunny.

The Samsung S8 Active is awesome. The built in case is the best! It adds the protection needed for accidental drops, etc. It has all the features needed but it is the built in case that was the seller for me.

So far, so good. I wasn't to keen on infinity screens and this was a great sturdy alternative to the S8. The battery last a really long time. FYI it is not compatible with Samsung VR.

I have had this phone over a year now and it is hardcore. I drop this sucker at least once a day and it has held up pretty well and no broken screen. Knock on wood.

Finally gave in and bought a new phone whiten mine wouldn't hold a charge. Transitioned beautifully. Seems sturdy enough to not need a case. Cautiously optimistic.

This is my 5th Galaxy now..Great phone again. Another awesome phone with great new features added since the S7, especially the battery!

Wife kept dropping and breaking her cell phones until she got this one. There have been many accidents but the phone still looms new.

Best active phone so far from Samsung. I have a 2 year old who loves to play games on my phone, its very durable. No scratches.

Gave up my Note8 and there is no difference other than minor differences like the camera. The 4000mah battery is great!

Had this phone for 2 years. It has held up really good. Battery is lagging now but that is to be expected.
