This is my first Smart phone so it is intimidating. My kids are trying to teach me about all its capabilities a little bit each day. The only negative is I'm not use to all the constant pop ups, so I have shut off ALOT of the notifications. Seems very excessive.

LOVE my new Galaxy S9 Plus. The large size is awesome. Lots of cool new features, great camera, and the battery literally lasts ALL DAY!!! I am a heavy user with work emails coming through constantly, FB notifications, etc and it's still has a little battery left at midnight!! I was having to charge my S7 about 3 times a day.

I upgraded from an S6 to this S9+. I knew it was a larger phone, but I didn't realize just how big and heavy it would be, especially after I got it into a case (Otterbox Defender). I'll get used to that, and I suppose it's part of the tradeoff for the big, clear screen and longer battery life. I do love that screen, and the battery life is way better than I'm used to. The OS and apps do have quite a few bugs, for example I can't get it to not time out and go black while I'm using it, if I pause for a few seconds that's it. Facebook no longer shows a # on the badge to show how many notifications I have, and Message+ shows up on the notification bar as if I have messages, but it's actually stuck at "syncing messages" and I can't dismiss that notification. I absolutely love the fingerprint unlock, I was worried that with the Otter in the way it wouldn't work well, but it reads so much better than the S6 that it works without a hitch almost every time. I'm a little disappointed in the camera, it takes great pictures but often seems to take a long time to auto focus, as did my old one, making it hard to get a good candid photo or a pic of something that's happening right now. The storage is huge and it will take me a while to even get over half full, but I don't download a lot of music or movies, I just store my photos, apps, and documents. It was super easy to connect to my Windows 7 computer, just plugged in the USB, waited a minute, picked photo transfer and browsed the phone. Overall I like this phone, I guess for the price tag I expected near perfection and it didn't quite achieve that.

Worst Phone I have ever owned

I know based on the title of my review it may seem like an exaggeration, but this phone is legitimately the worst one I have ever owned. Maybe you are reading this our of curiosity and excitement for this phone. My advice is to wait or to buy a different phone. The hardware works ok so far, but there are terrible software problems. I will list them out to save you your sanity. 1. The phone automatically rejects call. You may swear you thought your phone range and you have no notification. What it does on its own is reject calls with a text and tells them you are too busy right now. The only way to catch it is by checking your call log and texts. My phone doubles as personal and business. This has been a complete disaster as you can imagine. I have had the phone for only two months. 2. On top of the call rejecting this phone does not tell you when you have voice mails. No settings will fix this. You have to get other apps to avoid this. 3. Phone will make notification noises for no reason and for some legit notifications it goes off like a fire work. Ringing and vibrating excessively. My friends and coworkers are legitimately shocked when this happens and I have to tell them its nothing. TO which they question if it could really be nothing or if I'm embarrassed. Then I show its a dumb push notification from an app and nothing important. 4. The curved screen is awful. Its nearly impossible to hold this phone without a part of you hand accidentally touching the screen. The curved screen serves no purpose at all from what I can tell. It displays no information and goes black when playing videos. Its a design flaw and a complete mistake by Samsung. 5. The phone gives me warnings all the time. Whenever I wake the phone up it gives me a warning that never stops. Every time I have to say ok to some ridiculous warning like it got woken up too violently and didn't like it. Its very annoying. 6. The wake up screen button and volume buttons are right across from each other. The most natural way to wake up the phone is to hold it with one hand and brace one side while pushing the button on the other. Because you brace against the volume button and the wake up button you accidentally push both all the time. When you do that the phone does nothing. Oh and don't hit the worthless bixby button. Seriously that thing is a complete waste. Look I'm not an I phone guy or with any other company. I don't care what you buy, but I'm trying to save you from making the same mistake as me. I had an LG phone before this and it was good besides the time it died, but they replaced it. Don't buy this phone and save yourself. Don't be fooled by the endless positive reviews. This is not a good phone and I have to find a way to get out of it now. Save yourself!
