The Galaxy SmartTag2's location updates occur when it's within 120 meters of a Galaxy phone with Bluetooth enabled. Easy to set up and use

However, be careful as if they are locked to one account, they must be unpaired like other activated products. Samsung gives no other solutions to 'locked' devices.
