    It probably works ok for Samsung phones only. When I got it I noticed on the box it is for Samsung phones only. Took it backed to the store in the unopened box. Best Buy reduced my refund by $50 that I never got back even after contacting customer service and after customer service lied and said the $50 would be credited. Never got it. Even though I purchased a similar product the same day that works on my Motorola. Oh well, lesson learned.

    Died super fast but to be fair we didn't but a new battery in it. The last gen tag we used finally died after a year and a half.

    While I do like how easy the device is to use, I am really disappointed with the product. I couldn't determine why the device kept beeping. I thought I was unknowingly hitting the device. Finally I realized it was the battery dying. It arrived less than 4 weeks ago. I didn't open for at least a week. I had to remove the piece of plastic they had to block the battery from being drained while in the packaging.

    Was originally looking for something like apple air tag and store rep said this was similar but for android user like myself. Connected well but this is just a limited tracking capability

    I am an IT person of many years and I still haven't been able to make this work consistently. When it does beep it just isn't loud enough to be helpful. I'll recap the review if I get it to work consistently

    I bought two. The one from amazon worked perfectly. The one I purchased at best buy was defective. It randomly beeps and disconnects constantly.

    App glitches. It doesnt refresh, when it does, itll say its right next to you and its not. Not a reliable tracker and i have a aamsung too

Samsung provides a 12-month warranty for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. If your Galaxy SmartTag2 keeps freezing or slowing down, remove the battery and reinsert it. If needed, you can also reset your SmartTag2. Here's how: 1. Insert the ejection pin supplied with the product or a clip into the battery tray hole and pull out the battery tray gently from the battery tray slot. 2. After pressing and releasing the button once, insert the battery tray into the battery tray slot while pressing the button again. 3. Hold the button for more than 7 seconds until the product makes a sound. If the battery has not been properly recognized, the product will make a sound immediately after inserting the battery. If this happens, try the method again. Please ensure the SmartTag2 is properly connected to your phone's network and that the SmartThings app is up to date.     Upon receiving an excellent condition box, the tag was locked to another account. Best Buy has no knoweldge and no system to checks for locked items. Just get new.
