This is a near unusable phone, the only reason I can ever see anyone buying this is to "rent" it for 14 days while Best Buy's trash phone replacement policy tries it's best to ruin your week.

For a sub $100 prepaid phone it is really underpowered compared to other phones in that price range, especially Moto and LG options. Also has only 16mg and almost 1/2 of that is taken up by the system.

I go through phones like nobody's business lol. But i bought the Samsung Galaxy Sol 3 on Sept 30th 2018 and as of this review it's Oct 3rd 2018. No it hasnt been a week or a month but I feel I've used enough of the phone to get a good idea of how good or bad it is. And I will say it's an awesome device to have. I hate it when someone says "you get 16GB of memory". Uh no you don't. You get 16GB but you only get about 9.50GB out of the box from what I saw. So no you don't get all 16GBs. Still 9.50GB is still pretty good. You also get 2GB of ram which is a nice step up from the Sol 2's 1.5GB of ram. There's also android 8.0 Oreo which is really nice to have. And of course you can fit up to a 256GB Microsd card. I have a 64GB sd card so I'm good to go. Some will wonder: Can you transfer apps to the sd card? With some apps I tested yes you can move some or most of your apps to the sd card. However not all apps can be moved. But yes you are able to move apps depending on what they are and if the developer allows it. The phone also runs a 1.4GHZ Samsung Exynos 7570 and it has a very nice 5 inch 720p display. And there's also Bixby, which I have used but i didn't find it personally useful but some people might. It has a 8MP rear camera that can do 1080p video recording and 30FPS. As for picture quality? Good to Excellent in my opinion. I LOVE the pictures the phone takes. In fact I cant stop taking pictures thats how much I love the 8MP rear cam. The 3.1MP front camera that also does 1080p recording. Picture quality? Ehh it's ok nothing amazing. Now in terms of video quality for the 8MP rear cam? very good to excellent quality. As for audio? well i was expecting a lot of bass and some awesome sound, however there's almost no bass and it has a tinny like sound to it but even with loud music it seems to not distort that I noticed when I tested the audio out. The auto focus does an awesome job in my testing too. The front 3.1MP does ok with pictures but I much prefer the rear cam. Now in terms of call quality? EXCELLENT. about a 9 out of 10 in my opinion. Loud and crystal clear. No issues whatsoever. People hear me loud and clear. The spear phone? Not bad. Not amazing but it gets the job done and I find it loud enough. When I video chatted my girlfriend on Google Duo I immediately noticed right away how nice and bright my end looked. the 3.1MP looks really good for video chatting. She said i looked awesome all things considering. In fact I still have the Moto G6 Forge and she said the volume on that phone was VERY low and the picture on her end looked very dark and hard to see. On top of the that the sound quality on the G6 Forge wasnt that good. She had issues understanding me as the sound went in and out and crackled at times on her end. With the Sol 3 she said it was like night and day. I sounded absolutely amazing and looked awesome. So big difference. Also one thing thats a bit annoying is in order to turn off LTE data you have to go into the Settings and go into data and whatnot to turn it off. There's no option in the notification or icon area when you drag the menu down from the top and see the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and other things. There's no data icon. Which is a pain but it's whatever. Oh and the Sol 3 picks up Wi-Fi and LTE MUCH better than the G6 Forge, MUCH stronger LTE signal. Where the G6 Forge failed to pick up a proper signal and dropped from LTE to just 4G at times or some times just dropped the signal all together the Sol 3 EASILY picked up the LTE signal without issues. No dropped calls, no crashes, no random shut offs, no issues AT ALL. Anyways there's more about this phone but just watch my videos on the phone on my youtube channel. Type in Samsung Galaxy Sol 3 and look for GTX4790 and that's me. I put a picture of the Sol 3's box as the thumbnail. Ask me whatever questions you the reader, would like to ask.

I wish I hadn't spent $100 on this phone! It's not worth it. Phone slows down a lot, notification sounds when there's no notification, installed keyboard not easy to use.
