    Good, Not Great Tablet!

This tablet is probably the best value for its $329 price. If you can are able and willing to spend an extra $120 I would recommend the Galaxy Note. The screen resolution is great but not Retina or Super HD. Really The Galaxy Tab 2 is just a super-sized version of the Galaxy S III. I would have liked to see some more capabilities and features than the phone. Overall a great tablet for the price and I would recommend it!

Samsung quality for a decent price. Tablet shipped with Android Jellybean version 4.1.1. Has a good solid feel and the dual speakers are nice. They are located on the front so no problems hearing them if the tab is in a case. Handles everything I throw at it without lag, pretty speedy overall. Touchscreen is responsive with no double taps required. Cameras are just average but work decently. No flash though. Works well with Skype which is a plus. Honestly it's a tablet not a camera. Wi-Fi is solid no connection drops anywhere I've connected to. My only minor gripe with the tablet itself is that the screen resolution could be better. It uses a 1280 x 800 PLS display and small text can look fuzzy. Not extreme but you do notice it. No issues with video quality though, looks nice and clear. Web pages are decent too as long as the text size isn't too small. If so, just zoom in a bit. Make no mistake though, the screen is NOT as nice as the iPad. However the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 is about 100 bucks cheaper. You get what you pay for. Another item to note is "app quality". This has nothing to do with the Sammy tab and everything to do with Android apps in general. There are hundreds of thousands of apps available through Google Play market. Some are not optimized for tablet size viewing and can look strange. As much as I'm not an Apple fan, I have to admit that my Wife's iPad doesn't have the app issue. Every app looks right on the device. This is a decent, solid entry level 10" tablet from a "major" manufacturer at a more then competitive price. If you can live with the above small issues, I'd say go for it. I don't regret buying mine and it's serving it's purpose well.

One of the reasons I bought this tablet was so I would have something to do while at the Doctors office with my husband since he goes about twice a week. I was amazed at all the places that have free wifi so I can connect just about anywhere. I love the colors, very bright and clear. It also has a good battery life. I can also read my emails and look at facebook and send pictures to post.

I do enjoy the sleek design of the Galaxy Tab 2 10.1. This tablet is a gift to myself. I am slowly learning my way around this tablet, taking my time and enjoying the process. I intend to use/explore Netflix, Mint.com, g-mail, online banking, navigation, google search, CNN, MSNBC, and Medscape to name just a few. I travel a 60-mile radius on a daily basis,a PC and a smart phone are my two main devices. I do not own a laptop. This tablet will serve to keep me connected and entertained daily, while I am away from home. I hope to soon purchase a mobile device to keep connected without searching for wireless locations.

I didn't want to pay $500 for what is, essentially for me, a toy. I liked the idea of being able to read, listen to music, check my e-mail and use the Internet, and maybe do some writing or texting, if I was going on a trip. This device lets me do all that. I've used it mainly for playing games (screen size is a little small for mahjong, but OK for games designed specifically for the tablet -- lots of options available from the Samsung store, lots of free games and apps, too!), checking e-mail (program is rudimentary, but simple to use and gets the job done), listening to music (I hook it up to a portable speaker or use my ear buds -- if you're an audiophile, the speakers likely will not be sufficient) and writing. It won't replace my PC for some things, but then I can't lug that monster out onto the porch or into the back yard when I feel like working outside. And I can't take my PC on a plane or a long car trip, either. The screen quality is lovely. It hasn't crashed once in the two months I've had it. It is really easy to use. There are probably some bells and whistles I might not take full advantage of, but if you want a basic tablet for entertainment purposes, for the price (less than $300), it's an excellent option.

I got this as a christmas present for myself. I planned to use it to surf the internet and as an ereader. This hooks up to wifi just fine and I have used it at multiple locations. I can access the google android store and the Samsung app store as well. But, I am limited in downloading books to just kindle formats and that is very inconvenient. If I wanted a kindle, I would have got one. They do have a KOBO app but I do not buy books but get them from my library site which has books in epub formats. I bought this unit thinking that they had updated to include Adobe but that is not the case with this model. Maybe the newer units have the updates but I have not seen it yet and am not willing to spend the extra money. I do like the screen size and would not like anything smaller, that is what my phone is for. It is rather heavy for me to carry in its case in my purse as I do a book. It weighs about the same as a hardcover book so I am not carrying it around with me as much as I could but way lighter than my litebook. I am looking forward to traveling with it. So far it runs smoothly and battery life is good enough for me. I try to plug it in to recharge each night but when I forget, I still have a few hours the next day.

Overall, I like it; it's lightweight, large screen, good color & sound; lots of apps. I don't have a smartphone, so the touch screen feature is new to me. I don't like how my email (msn) and Facebook screens look differently than they do when I'm on my computer; and oftentimes I find it frustrating to exit out of something or to navigate around when things don't "click" accurately with my finger like I'm used to using the mouse on my desktop computer. For me, I think I will love it when I travel, but right now, it's taking more time than I have to use it the way I intended. This probably has more to do with me than the device itself.

My first experience with a touch screen...took some time getting used to it. Will likely get a keyboard soon. Decided at the last minute to bring it along on a 3 week out of state trip & found it to be useful for locating interesting places along the way, then making reservations, and buying tickets before we arrived. Traveling without a "smart phone," it was nice to have that flexibility. Another bonus, airline security doesn't require tablets to be inspected. A time-saver at the airport.

I bought this tablet for business. The aesthetics are great and it has a pretty good screen resolution. I payed $230 by price matching which was great so for the price this is a 10. But the 1 ghz processor is easy to overload and compared to some other tablets, the screen is slacking but by our eyes resolution it still looks 'good' a subjective term in the eye of the beholder. My 1 issue is I stream music and use bluetooth speakers with the device, but if I look something up online at the same time I have power withdrawals. hope this helped

I bought this tablet as a Christmas gift for a family member. I bought this vs. the Asus 32 GB as the Asus was sold out so it wasn't my first choice. I was happy that the interface is like the Samsung Android phones - minimal learning to do. I thought I had a good buy, but then the person the gift was for seems to really like the camera. I feel bad now as the camera quality is very poor. As Samsung can make a wonderful camera on their new Galaxy III phone, I would expect a little more out of a camera on the Tab 2. If I could do it over again, I'd find a tablet with better camera quality as the camera is used quite a bit.

I bought this tablet for myself and it was an open box item in perfect condition. I love this tablet and serves its purpose for what I need! One thing is that certain apps such as fliker were not compatible with this device. I did save a bookmark of it and others on the home screen, though, so it's easy to access. Comes with ice cream sandwich and hoping for an update to jellybean soon.

After reading MANY positive reviews, decided on this tablet (my first Android device). The next week, I caught it on sale for $50 off! I purchased the tablet, primarily, for the purpose of running iScore (a softball score book app) for my daughter's softball team. Love the large screen, battery life is good (have scored five full games in a day before needing a recharge). Screen input/interaction (from stylus) works well. Easily connected to multiple networks (home, work, etc), signed in with my Google ID and everything synced properly. Does everything I need it to do - no complaints.

Got this tablet to replace my laptop that recently took a dive. I purchased a Bluetooth keyboard so I can type up reports for school using the Polaris app which uses versions of Word, Excel, and Powerpoint. I'm also loving the Samsung Link app which links all the pictures and music I have from my phone to the tablet and vice versa. I've uploaded hundreds of pictures from my vacations this summer using a micro sd card. The pictures come out great on this tablet screen! Still learning about all the apps and different features, but so far so good!

I bought this tablet for my husband, who does not use the computer. He thought it would be a good thing to learn on in place of learning the computer, plus it was small. I had to figure it out first without written directions and then slowly teach him what I had learned how to do on it. The fact that it had no written directions made it difficult for both of us with no written directions to refer to. The tablet is as described and I don't think there could be a better one out there. I am used to the laptop and pc, and this is more like using a large IPod for me, but it does everything it is supposed to do. I have not tried everything out on it as yet. The camera function looks excellent. This is the second Samsung Tab. that I purchased; I also bought one for my son for Christmas and he loves his.

Great tablet, especially for the price. Grabbed it for $299. Definitely a great buy. Love the tablet, great screen, not extremely heavy, android market is awesome for any app you can think of. Netflix works great on it,websites are easy to navigate and looks great. Amazon kindle app works great, as does googles play store. I really like reading magazines on this as well (although the ads are overtaking magazines these days). Definitely recommend getting a screen shield/protector and a case. Speakers are a bit lacking, but with headphones its not a problem. Obviously this is not a "boombox", so the speakers suffice.

My only complaint is that when I hold it vertical and the Samsung logo is on the left then the on/off and volumn rocker bar are on the top right. The volumn rocker bar, you have to push it down to turn up the sound and up to lower the sound. This drives me nuts! I also wish they were farther apart because I have accidently tried to turn it off when I was reaching for the top of the volumn rocker bar. If you rotate the screen so these buttons are on the bottom of the tablet and they are then easy to accidently push.

This is my first pad device, and it is very intuitive for learning how to use all the features. I accidently found out how to access the apps and widgets (tap and hold your finger on the screen) by playing with it. Sound is very good, screen sensitivity is excellent for taps and drags, and speed once booted up is very fast. Battery has a very long life. Samsung just seems to know the features that matter most to consumers. Very happy with what we paid for what value we received.

The battery life is good, it doesn't take long to recharge even if you use it while charging. I have only one complaint about this tablet. The first tablet kept displaying a message "unfortunately factory test has stopped", so I returned the tablet and got another one. This 2nd tablet has begun showing the same message. It continues to work, but this message is irritating when you're trying to enjoy a movie.
