Decent tablet for kids

We bought 4 of these tablets for our kids for Christmas. While the tablets are good quality and are consistent with our other Samsung products; these tablets are dramatically undersized in the storage space department. At 8.0gb you would think it has enough for a lot of kids games and apps but the google OS takes up almost half of the space, not leaving much room. We wound up purchasing SD cards to boost the space, but felt the limitations of the space were not spelled out enough. It should be more clear how much of the space is needed just for the basic OS before purchase.
