I have an older version of this model - SM-T230NU - and wouldn't give it up for anything. I do a lot of "remote" hiking, where I'm on the trail for days with nothing but my backpack, and this tablet goes with me. It's invaluable to use after the sun goes down and before it's time to crawl into the sleeping bag. I use it for the eReader (Overdrive), MP4 movies, Animated Knots (by Grog) application, and a few strategy games that make me think. Battery life is unbeatable - I get about 30 minutes of video for 5% of the battery, and have no issues using it for the entire backpacking trip from the initial full charge. I'm glad to see Samsung still offering the 7" model - it's PERFECT for holding and not needing to squint, and there are a lot of us out there who don't want a huge screen in front of us. I'm also happy they offer one that's wi-fi only, because this tablet, for my use, is never connected (no need to) except when I need to check out more eBooks from my library. Combined with my Fintie leatherette folder this unit fits perfectly within, I'm a happy Samsung customer. I also take this tablet everywhere I go!

Not being tablet saavy, and older in age, I needed a tablet to operate my new Hue lightstrips for my kitchen. I am extremely happy that I purchased this one. The screen is a good size, colorful, and easy to read. Holding this tablet is not uncomfortable even with my small achey hands. As for the functions and operating them , they are done with ease especially with the screen tap option and camera use. I have NOT ONE complaint about this tablet.

The only issue so far is the lowe amount of storage for the price of the tablet. It’s great for gaming and not too big in size or too small.

I bought this in spite of my older tablet dying out on me and not being able to keep up with the usage. This was the next big step for me since my last tablet was running an old android OS. The moment I got it out of the box it was easy to setup and retrieve my information and get my apps aligned with it or better yet a simple transition. Very smooth interface, easy to navigate and watching video or streaming content on here is awesome! If you do end up buying this I recommend buying a heavy duty case with a kickstand, it makes accessible and easier to watch videos where ever you are as well be able to stand it up how ever you want

When it comes to expensive tablets, I've only messed around with Apple iPads (various models) for the most part. A few months ago, I purchased an Amazon Fire (2016 model). I was a little under-impressed with the OS and apps available on the Fire, so when I found this tablet for under $100, I had to take a chance on it. Much happier with the Android OS (only ever use Android phones so I'm very familiar with it). Unless you've given up the laptop/desktop completely, there isn't much need (in my opinion) for a tablet larger than 7", so I found no issues with the smaller screen. The primary issue I've discovered with this tablet is the same as other reviews: 8GB isn't a great deal of space to start with. Expanding the memory helps, but there are still a good number of Android apps that are required to be stored on the device storage. Could also use more options for covers. Samsung offers two types designed specifically for this device, however the 3rd party options are limited unless you get a one-size-fits-all cover, which don't always work well with button placements, etc. Overall, very satisfied with this tablet as a whole. I still use my laptop more, but the tablet meets my needs pretty well, so long as I keep the storage and apps under control.

I didn't want anything to big or to small, this is a good size plus I still can use it for everything including picture taking.

I use it for Chrome, Mozilla, pictures and to open mechanical drawings in tiff format. You would want more RAM for video as the tiff drawings scroll a little slow, but it's quite acceptable. Size is very convenient and easy to carry. Nice display and good battery life. I would get another one for my wife.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7A is a wonderful tablet. I bought it for use as a tablet for the remote controller of a drone-copter; the dji Phantom 3 Pro. This task is performed perfectly by the 7A. The reason I bought the 7A over the 8A is because the 7A has a brighter screen. It has the option of selecting a "Daylight" setting, which doubles the brightness of the screen. Very important for use outside. The 7A also has a slightly faster processor, and a slightly newer OS. Another advantage is that the 7A balances perfectly while sitting atop the controller. Just the right size and feel. Holding the 7A is perfect in my hands. I can hold it horizontally or vertically, and it fits in the pocket of my Dockers pants. It will not fit into the pocket of my jeans. The screen has beautiful color, for everything from the opening desktop screen to the copter controller screen, to displaying photos. There is one, single complaint: There's no flash for the camera. That means no light for video, and very importantly, no ability to use a flashlight app. Every time I use the 7A, I'm reminded how much I love it, and how glad I am I bought it.

Easy to set up and quick response at least for now. The camera seems to have good quality too. Battery lasts quite long. You would need to buy additional memory card if you have lots of movies, photos. Overall, it serves the purpose that I was hoping for.

The Tab A 7 is a great and productive tablet. It has many functions and it is fast. You can work on it any where. I use my tablet everywhere I go. I love it.

Bought this for my grandmother for checking her emails and keeping in touch with her friends. The tablet is a good size and easy to store in a purse.

I bought this tablet for just regular use. It isn't Fancy, and probably won't do big gaming apps. But it's good for watching movies and browsing the internet. I almost didn't buy it because Samsung puts 3+ year old technology in a less then yr old body. I.e it's running Android 5.1.1. And 1.5 Gbs of RAM. Bought it as an open box and the price was too good to pass up though.

I had an mini iPad but needed an upgrade. Go this boy I can carry it in my purse and adds no weight. Easy to use and love reading my books on it.

The Samsung - Galaxy Tab A (2016) - 7 - 8gb - Silver met all of my expectations for an easy to use, everyday tablet. I can easily check e-mail, watch shows, etc. This size is optimal, not too big and not too small. The product holds a charge really well. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase!

For the price, this tablet is awesome. A lot faster than I thought it would be. Screen quality is good as well. My only issue has been the 8GB memory. Not really enough. I loaded all of the apps I want, but now I only have 1 GB memory left. An SD card is a must if you buy this tablet.

I love my Galaxy Samsung IPad 7' 8GB. It's the right size to take it everywhere. Magnificent pictures I'm taking night and day.

It's like having s Samsung phone with out the phone function. Great screen and feel. I purchased this for my self because I did not want to dish out hundreds more for another iPad. The only thing I didn't like was that everything tied into your Google account so you can't do anything without it being linked to your Google account which just rubbed me the wrong way. I may end up getting the 10" version
