I love Samsung tablets, phones and wanted to replace a cheaper tablet with a better product. It is the perfect size for my uses as a portable "laptop" that is larger than my phone when I want to view TV, live sports. Check the dimensions to ensure it's size you want.

This 8 inch tablet is perfect. I also purchased a 256 GB U3 microSD card to store nearly 30 GB of mp3's and about 10 GB of digital 1200x800 px images on the microSD. The tablet quickly and flawlessly accesses the data as well as data on my network. I also use it to watch TV on my TiVo app and movies from a variety of sources. The deal was great. It's perfect in every way and I could not be happier.

Very happy with the tab a. Fast, decent battery, ample storage for my needs. Easy to figure out and use. Speedier opening of some apps will result in 5 stars.

I love this tablet! I formerly had a Samsung NOOK tablet. It didn't have enough memory to handle my needs let alone serve as a real tablet. This new tablet has all I need and more. Not only does it have 32 G of memory instead of only 8 G, it has Microsoft Word, Excel, One Note, etc. installed! And the topper is the camera. It takes beautiful pictures and videos.

So far I'm liking my new tablet. I used it for watching movies and shows online, online courses and as an e-reader. I'm still going through a lot fo the bells & whistles on this tablet as it's been 2-3 years since I upgraded. No issues so far. Best of all I love that it takes the 400gb micro sd card I found for a steal. I will have room galore as I download most of my books and reading material.

I've had this tablet now for a couple of days and it works as expected. Knowing that I was getting the 2017 model in 2019 and being a long-time Android user, I had appropriate expectations. Upon powering it up for the first time I noticed that it had a slightly newer Android version than my older Galaxy phone which makes me laugh *and* shake my fist at my phone carrier. Pros: -Works just like my phone -The 8" is just enough for a travel screen (my planned uses are video/ebook) -Decently light weight -Screen is bright enough inside my home -Battery seems to hold up nicely with wifi internet use -Price for value as an older model is great Cons: -The sound/speaker is mediocre. I plan to mostly use headphones so this isn't a big deal -Now that it is an older model, few cases are available, but I found one on Amazon that has a stand-up feature so I won't always have to hold it. -No thumbprint access (wasn't promised this feature but I think my Galaxy phone has done this since 2017) -It feels a little slow to me (slower anyway than my Galaxy S7 phone) Overall it is a solid tablet for entertainment users. I'll be traveling with it soon and I'm happy to have it instead of my heavy older laptop. The price is good enough that I'm not concerned if something happens to it or I do some other damage.

I think this tablet its a really good device...really fast and never experiment any kind of lacks... good camera, good storage 32gb, super fluid and in general i give with no doubt 5 stars... high recomended if you used for youtube, social media, emails, makes pictures.... hey trust me you never go wrong with this amazing tablet !!!!!

I bought this tablet to replace a tab4 7" which is worn out. A larger screen, nouget o.s. (the tablet immediatly offered to update from marshmellow), 32g of internal storage (but only 2g rams), a fast proccessor and 'black friday week' pricing at bestbuy ($150) equals a very good tablet in my opinion. ...and it fits into my back pocket!

We purchased this after her Acer tablet died. This tablet's screen and graphics are so clear! The camera is great too! Moves so much faster and efficient! No problems so far! Just be careful when ordering a case to make sure you get the right model. There are several different model years for the same Galaxy Tab A 8.0 tablet.

This is the perfect little tablet, just the right size, super easy to use and allows me to watch movies on Netflix or Hulu during my lunch breaks. Love this this little tablet and I stand behind Samsung products 100%. Not a fan of the Apple product what so ever, Android it is. Great pricing as well and easy to find accessories.

For my first tablet, I believe I made a good choice. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8.0 is easy to use. When I bought it, I, worried I, would not know how to set it up. It has a walk through program just like computers and Laptops. And since I have a Galaxy phone all I did was transfer all my information to the Tablet. To do this I, remembered I, had a share button in my settings. I turned it on, on both devices they linked and I was all set. I truly enjoy watching my films on this Tablet and picture quality is very nice. So now my phone can take a break. This tablet also takes pictures, plays music; it has a small speaker (not to bad) for play back or just use ear buds, and it is the right size and stores just about anywhere. So if your thinking of picking one up and for a fraction of what a iPad cost you will not be disappointed.

I was planning a trip overseas and needed something that I could use to email & message friends & family, and also wanted to be able to watch videos on the plane & read, so I started looking for a tablet. This is the first tablet I've ever owned, and I really like it. It's a perfect size, very light & easy to use. No complaints so far.

Needed a new tablet. My battery in my 2015 model ran down too fast. New 2017 model battery seems to last a long time without recharging. Has double the amount of storeage as my last tablet. Easy to use. Good picture resolution. Am happy with this newer version tablet.

My review is for the Samsung - Galaxy Tab A 8.0" 32GB. Best Buy lumps various similar models together in reviews, so if you are looking at a different model number, YMMV. We have had no problems. Samsung updated to OS to Pie at no charge. My wife was using my small tablet too much so I bought this one. She uses it for playing games as she is already comfortable using her Samsung smart for email and casual web use. I picked this model because it was on sale and the eight in screen size. I like 8 inch screens as those tablets fit in a coat pocket with protective book style cover that also protects the screen from scratches. I had used a 10 inch screen, but it was too big to a pocket and I don't carry a purse or briefcase. We bought the in Feb, now seven months later, not a single problem. We bought the extended Geek Squad protection as coffee spills happen in our house.

Easy to use and battery last long. The tablet is great for the it’s size. Having a lots of fun using it for puzzles, games, Reading and YouTube. Has some good pre installed apps that you can use. Camera works nice for great video recording.

I bought this tablet for my father as he needed a smaller tablet device that he could use for Skype, and other ways to call/text. He actually enjoys it quite a bit and it's nice and light. It holds a charge rather well and is quick for its size.

After purchasing the 16 GB model, I saw the 32 GB model for just a bit more. This is the 2017 model, ships with Android 7. It should upgrade automatically to 8 in the near future. Fast processor, great resolution and 8" screen make it ideal for videos.

This tablet is really great!! I purchase is tablet during Black Friday / Cyber Monday weekend for a great deal. I don't use this tablet as much so my review will be more for people who are going to use this tablet very rarely to sometimes a day. The battery life is amazing, 14 hours long, but with me not using this tablet as much, I can go a week without charging it. Display and pixels are excellent as well. The reason I am giving this tablet a four-star is because of Google. Google is a Powerhouse when it comes to technology, and I love it. But since I connected my tablet to my Google services and I have a Samsung Galaxy, I get a whole lot of redundancies and it's annoying. Of course I can find a way to disable my Google account on my tablet, but I am not trying to find out how to do that right now. The other thing that gets me upset about this tablet is the keyboard. I believe there was only one time where I got swipe-to-text, after that I get no swipe-to-text, no auto-text, no prediction words, etc. and it is frustrating when I am writing something on my tablet that I am not getting these features compared to on my phone. Finally, the charging cable is not micro USB cord. I believe it's the new C type USB cord but I could be wrong. This threw me off, so I want to inform you guys about that if you decide to buy this tablet. Overall, this is a great tablet for anyone who is looking to upgrade or just buy a new tablet!
