Bought three of these for 2017 Xmas. Everyone very surprised and love there gift. For it was just what they wanted. And the have not put them down.

I bought this tablet thought it was going to be a brand new tablet but it was either used or refurbished.. It's a Christmas gift now it's too late try and send it back.

I Love the tablet does exactly what I need it for and I can read books on this too without having a kindle!

I purchased this for my brother as a gift and he is very happy with this item.

It's lacking one thing I need Adobe Flash otherwise I'm having a lot of fun with it and really enjoying the product

Very useful for browsing, videos, games, also good for FaceTime

It's does everything you want it to do and I end up grabbing it when I don't want to open the laptop, it's that good. The only reason I would use my laptop is if I were gaming because it's a gaming rig...but this Tablet's only drawback is 2gb of RAM. I have a great app that frees up RAM so it doesn't bother me and the features like the camera are great. Samsung Sidesync and another app with have your laptop screen on your tablet, phone, and vice-versa so I love it. If I want to use my laptop, for say finding pics or docs, I can just have my laptop or phone on the tablet or my tablet on the laptop which is fun sometimes with games...like Clash of Clans. You can get a USB to micro and plug it into the bottom part where you charge the tablet and put a wireless mouse transmitter in there and use a mouse on the tablet. Great picture...meaning screen...great build...great all around with mirroring or if casting. Great for the price!

My main purpose for purchasing this tablet was to use mainly as a reading device such as the Nook, or Kindle. This Samsung tablet is the perfect size for the intended use and very light as well. Prior to purchasing this tablet I owned an iPad Mini 3 which stopped working after only 2 years. I didn't want to spend the money on a new iPad so I purchased this tablet due to the great price and savings. Performance-wise, the Samsung is very close in comparison to the iPad Mini 3. Performance is not always the best (Just like the iPad Mini) but overall for the price it is very good! . As far as the quality of the tablet, it feels slightly cheaper than that of the iPad's durable aluminum body. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase for its intended use.

Upgraded from a Tab 7 to the Tab A. I love it because it has a bigger screen, has Microsoft office suite, and a more expandable memory capabilities. I use my Tablet for leisure, so I do not have it with me every where I go. But if I needed to do work on the go, this tablet has the capabilities.

It's a great tablet for someone who doesn't want to spend too much. Screen is just about the right size, lightweight compared to other tablets of similar size. All the features you'd expect of an Android too, upgradeable memory with microSD. One niggle I have with it though, I'd wish the back button and multi-screen button on bottom of the tablet were backlit.. other than that. No worries.

This is a good mid-range tablet that comes with a few compromises. Namely, the screen resolution isn't as high as others and with only one speaker, the audio isn't the best. If you're looking for a Retina-quality screen you won't find it here, but it will work well enough for most folks. That said, the tablet performs well, battery life is great, and the cameras are decent. A nice touch is that there are small holes in the back where the Samsung case snaps on, keeping it very slim. Lollipop comes installed, and an upgrade to Nougat is available via a system update. Minor quibble: Updates are constantly being pushed for Google apps. The Tab A works great for me, but the screen and audio might be deal-breakers for others. I highly recommend looking at it in-store and deciding for yourself.

For the holiday price, this is a great tablet. The only thing that really is noticeable is the lower screen resolution, but its ok on the 8 inch version. On the 9.7 inch version, this would start to be a con. The tablet has enough processing power to run everything at least ok. It is light on the ram, so try to be proactive about closing apps that you are not using for best performance. It only has 16GB of memory, but does have the microSD slot to easily and cheaply expand. The battery life is actually very good. You should be able to get 10 hours easy performing various tasks. Intensive apps will drain the battery faster, but even then expect 8 hours or more.

Highly recommended first starter tablet for older folks. Bought this tablet for my dad since his vision not getting any better. Fast for what he uses it for mainly to read on the Kindle app and music on the built in web streaming app from Samsung (lighter app than Pandora). Lighter than I was excepting since this replace his Samsung Tab 4 7 inch. Thinner than the Tab 4 as well. He has enjoyed it for the better part this past week. The 16 GB memory (14 GB usable) is more accessible than the old Tab 7 which had 8GB but only half was accessible to the user.

I love my new Galaxy Tab A. It's lightweight and small enough to put in my purse. I take it everywhere. It's nice and quick for all the things I do - surfing, email and some game playing. Display is nice and bright and easy to read.

Went in for a different tablet and walked out with this one. Had not even heard of it yet, so I wish I could have done some homework...but what you get for the price was pretty good. Lightweight, good picture, easy to use, all the hardware and software you would need. I wish I would have checked to see if it had a flash on it (something I didn't even think about until I tried to take a picture in low light). Also wish they would put speakers on the price instead of some random place, but I dont listen to too much on it anyways. Mostly games, surfing the web, email. A little disappointed in the samsung rep that works at the best buy. Spent an hour trying to close me on it, and when I finally decided to buy, that was the last I saw of him. Didn't seem to care of I had any questions (which I do) or understood how to work it. Not mad at bestbuy, but at the samsung rep. I work in sales and when I sell a product, I sometimes spend an hour going over the product to make sure the customer understand it the best they can.

I own many Samsung products and their tablets are great. Easy setup and fast, even though it's a tablet it serves it's use for me. The size and weight are also good for me.

Thin, light, and fast. All around nice tablet. 8 inch size is nice to see pictures and not to small to read. Samsung quality like always, got it at a great price.

Great tablet with front and rear camera, decent memory, very good dimensions for a train commuter. Nice pictures, very fast for Android applications.

I've owned Samsung tablets for years, and I'm currently using the Tab-A 10 inch for myself. This is a great tablet and will be replacing an older Samsung that my wife has had for a few years now. It has the speed, storage and screen size she will need to do online piano lessons with one of her students. It will allow her to put her phone down and do all the things she does on it now on a larger screen. We love the Samsung name and product line. We look forward to years of great service from our Tab-A tablets.

I am a Samsung Galaxy fan. I purchased my first Galaxy Tab A about three weeks ago. Unfortunately, the battery overheated. We believe that that one was a lemon. I exchanged it for a new one and so far, this tablet is not overheating. Now for my opinion over the Tablet: 1) I like that I am able to use MS Office 2) I like that the battery last for a long time staying idle. I didn't charge it for over a week and it was at approximately at 33 percent. 3) I have watched movies on the Tablet and they play pretty well. I have Time Warner Cable. 4) I am able to keep track of information on my calendar and has an option for taking notes. 5) I purchased a 64 gb sd card and it can take a card higher than that I am told. 5) The Tablet seems to respond pretty quickly. I am able to type easily 6). My son who has Autism and into Technology owns an IPAD but loves Samsung as well. We both currently own a Galaxy phone. 7) Like how you can side sync the phones. That's really cool. 8) If I could change anything about Tablets overall (not just including Samsung) I would like for us to be able to remove the battery, if a heating issue would occur. This way it would give the device time to truly cool off. Other than that I am pleased with my Tablet.
