This tablet has performed above my initial expectations. Programs run smoothly and speed is never an issue. Used it on a trip cross country and easily attached to airline wifi. Very pleased with the quality of the screen and the battery life!

The Tab A 8.0 is a handy little tablet. I gave it to my son and a birthday gift and he loves it. Its very responsive and the 16 GB on board memory means he gets to use apps on his terms rather then have to install games then delete some when he wants to play something new. The light weight and thin design is great for keeping it portable an the battery life is pretty darn good considering he uses it all the time for watching video and playing games. It was a worth wild purchase and has not disappointed him (or me) once.

I switched to the Tab A from the Nexus 7 mainly due to the trade-in deal offered by Best Buy. I enjoy the larger screen, lighter weight and SD Micro capability. I am annoyed with location of the buttons on either side of the home button. They should be reversed. Maybe I am used to Nexus. I absolutely do not like the restriction on volume loudness. I listen to audio books in the car and when I stop and return the volume is down again and I have to OK the increase every time. I read this can be overridden by rooting the tablet, which is something I don't want to do. Only has one on-board speaker which is marginal at best. Some how Flipboard takes up the whole left page. I didn't ask for that. Gmail on Nexus allows embedded pictures Galaxy Tab A does not. On-board memory is full of apps I won't use. I can disable them but they still reside in memory. I have yet to find a comprehensive tutorial that answers all my questions. I am not that intuitive. I am considering going back and look at the Nexus 9 or wait for something else. Due to this experience, I know what to look out for.

I bought my tablet six months ago when I started a new job and was going to be spending a lot of time online my iPhone was just too small of the screen to see all the content and my PC wasn't mobile so the tablet was absolutely perfect perfect size screen takes fabulous pictures and definitely a lot more storage than I expected. Also it's very light and so easy to travel around with it fits right in my purse. Now that I have my tablet I don't know what I ever did without it I am very please with a purchase.

Do yourself a favor, toss that old iPad and replace it with a Samsung tablet. Great quality and price, expandable memory, excellent camara and display, good battery life!

Great easy to use tablet, love Samsung products are the best quality screens, even on the small screen easy to read articles, picture quality of camera is great.

Loved it as it is light and thin enough to carry. Easy read as my eyes are bad. Easy setup and let's me do everything my phone does except call

I saw the deal to trade in a working tablet and get 100 dollars off this tablet. So i decided to trade in my samsung galaxy tab 2. Going into to it, i knew it wasnt going to be the best tablet out there. But it sure is better than the tab 2. Screen isnt horrible at all. pretty good actually. Battery life is great. Overall a good budget tablet.

I did a bit of research on tablets and I am happy with my choice. The speed of loading pages is incredible. I enjoy the fact that I can increase the memory when I exceed the 16G. The pictures are clear and vibrant. I purchased a cheaper tablet for my 3 year old and she prefers my tablet over hers! Even my daughter knows a good thing. The battery life has exceeded my expectations.

Upgraded from a Nexus 7 and this tablet has a much better screen, faster processing, dual camera and loaded with great features. World of difference. Love it.

The Quad-core processor is amazingly fast. The 8" screen and overall weight make it very easy to handle, even for kids. The built-in Kids Mode is a plus.

The tablet has a great camera and is user friendly. Essentially, it is light-weight and is convenient to carry in your purse, bag, or even in your hand.

It's a great deal for a very fair performance tablet. It's great for people who is looking for a tablet for basic tasks. I bought this one for my mother in law and she loved. It's a perfect size and weight.

I took advantage of the minimum $100 for any working tablet promotion that Best Buy was running and was finally able to get rid of my two Kindle Fire tablets and get a real tablet! The Samsung is light and very easy to use right out of the box and the battery lasts a lot longer than my Kindle Fire HD 7. It is quick and very responsive to the touch without and lag or delay and has a microSD slot on the side for expanding storage which is a huge plus for me. I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for an affordable tablet that can do just about everything!!

My son loves his new tablet. It was easy to set up, within minutes he was online! Bold, crisp colors and powerful enough not to buffer most videos.

It's a great tablet. My kids love using it. It's not to small and not too big. It's just the right size. It's very lightweight and easy to use.

Given the $100 trade in for an old tablet, I would say it's a good value. Nice size, light, decent battery life, latest version of Android, seems fast enough and responsive, expandable memory to 128 gig (big benefit). Negatives. Low resolution screen makes text slightly fuzzy and almost like old dot matrix print. My old Kindle fire HD trade in was better. This could be a deal breaker. Suggest looking before buying. Video looked ok. Screen is also a finger print magnet
