Customers consistently note the Galaxy Tab A7 10.4" Wi-Fi 32GB's large screen size, ease of use, and excellent battery life as significant advantages. Positive feedback also highlights the tablet's sound quality and value for its price. A common concern, however, centers around the limited storage capacity. Some users also mention that the device could benefit from additional RAM.

Traded my iPad ?

I traded in my 6th generation iPad for this device and I have a few comparable thoughts. I know this is more set to compete with the Amazon Fire 10, which this is much better than especially considering its full Android interface, Play store access, faster processor and nicer screen . But coming from an iPad, I notice a few things. First, while the processor is good, its not as snappy as even the older iPad, not even close actually, but its still usable without any major annoyance. The screen is nice, probably on par, except the viewing angle is not as good on the Galaxy and tilting shows dark areas, surprising considering Samsung usually makes the best screens. The cameras are both basic and not exciting at all, but they work fine for zoom or whatever. There is no fingerprint reader but there is face recognition and it actually works really well and its quick. The fit and finish are good, not like an iPad but it is certainly sleek and sharp looking . The thin bezels look great, but can make it hard to hold without accidentally touching the screen, you get used to it. Anyway, its a great tablet if you can get it on sale under $200...especially if you are already in the Galaxy stratosphere (get it) as Samsung does a good job making their devices play well together, for instance I can text on this device while connected to my S20 or Galaxy watch etc. Overall I like it but can see myself purchasing the Galaxy Tab S7 in the future...

Very easy to use, setup and transfer data from previous tablets. Very nice display to watch Hulu, Netflix, Prime and other videos. Uses USB-C for faster charge. Able to expand storage with SD Card. seems quick enough to use any app, browse and stream. can connect Bluetooth speakers and headphones. not too thick or heavy. good balance. plenty of case options available.

I purchased the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 to replace my Samsung Galaxy Tab S2. I am getting used to the larger screen and heavier weight of the Tab A7 but I am not complaining about the adjustment. First, let's talk about the battery life. That's a deal breaker for me. The battery life is awesome! I detest carrying so many chargers anyway. I can charge the Tab A7 and use it for about 12 hours before worrying about recharging. I love the screen resolution for viewing photos and videos. Everything is so clear. The speakers on the Tab A7 render good sound too. And if you're looking for speed for browsing websites, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is top-notch - very fast. This was a great purchase for the quality and the price of the tablet.

I purchased this after returning an amazon kids tablet that I had purchased for my 4 year old. The amazon kids tab is a terrible, absolutely horrible waste of money. The samsung was only 50 dollars more and offers you a far superior screen, much better battery life, better processor, and a much much better user experience. There is a kids mode pre-installed which is one of the best i've seen. Kids aside, this tablet is an entertainment monster. For $150-$200 ,depending on the sale price, you get an amazing screen for watching movies, good speakers, good battery life and expandable storage. The tablet is light weight and feels great in the hands. Has a premium feel to it too.

love everything about this tablet. The size, weight, speed and ease of use. I had my last one for many years. So many years the battery started to swell. I'm sure this one won't do that

This tablet is way better than I was expecting! Our 4 year old Samsung Galaxy 10.1 tablet stopped turning on and the repair bill would be the same as buying this one. We are glad we decided to take advantage of the Black Friday sale and get one! It has a beautiful picture is fast and the battery has a great play time. I definitely would not hesitate to buy this tablet again or recommend it to my family and friends.

Have had the tablet for a couple weeks now. Got it for $149 when it was on sale, so good value if you can get it on sale.
I was not certain if the 10.4" size would be too big or if I should go for the 8" screen. It does not fit my hand all that well, but the larger screen for reading and viewing videos (e.g. Netflix) is worth it.
I did run into a problem with an app conflicting with the wi-fi connection. I installed several apps, including Spotify (free version). I noticed that the tablet would drop my wi-fi quite often and maybe/maybe not reconnect. I checked online and the suggestion was that an app was interfering and to uninstall all then reinstall one at a time. I chatted with a Samsung rep and they eventually came to the same conclusion. For whatever reason I decided to uninstall only Spotify (free version is rather useless anyway). Problem disappeared and I do not think I have lost the wi-fi signal a single time since.
My only regret - maybe - is that I got the 32Gb version. Somewhat worried I might run out of room for apps (the OS takes about 10-12 Gb) but I do not use many apps (for books and news and a few games) so I think I am OK. I installed a 32Gb SD card for pics and other stuff.
One downside - it is slippery if you do not have a case (that is not slippery too) for it.

Purchased for husband, who hates change! This is easy to operate, much faster than his previous tablet, which he had had for about 5 years. It was quick and easy to transfer his old info to the new tablet. The color and graphics are bright and sharp and love the smaller frame base and lighter weight of this tablet. Would recommend to everyone.

I'm returning it today but it's not because it isn't a great tablet. 10" is a bit too big for me in a tablet. I want something smaller and less like a mini laptop.
That being said, the display is great. Fantastic charging time and battery life. Easy set up. If you want a bigger tablet, you can't beat this one for the price. I'm getting the same thing, just in an 8" instead.

Best value tablet for media consumption @$150.. but iPad better overall
I personally like Android, iOS, and Windows.. Windows for computers, iOS for tablets, and Android for cell phones. I personally wouldn’t want to use iOS on a phone.. Wouldn’t wanna use Windows on a tablet or phone.. And Android I would usually only use on cell phones, but they’ve gotten better in the tablet department. I still think apps are more optimized for iOS and I don’t ever think that will change, unfortunately.
Even on this tablet, android, the apps, imo, aren’t as optimized or as fine-tuned as their iOS counterparts. And there are small things that iOS just does better.. Quality of life things. I’m sure there are things you can mod/install on android tablets to achieve QoL things comparable to iOS, but it’s just one more step. Which isn’t a bad thing.. Having the power to make your tablet however you want.. That’s the power of android for sure.
So basically the purpose of this purchase was to hold me over until I get the iPad Mini 6 next year. Imo, the ipad mini is just the perfect size for my overall usage. I like using my tablet in bed, and I had the regular ipad and it was just too heavy to use while in bed.. However, I do miss the size of the regular ipad. One gets used to the size of the ipad mini, but it is nice having that larger screen for watching movies, streams, etc. But I still prefer the iPad mini overall for it’s portability.
After using this tablet for a few days, I think I’ll probably end up keeping this Tab A7. For $150 it’s a pretty great value. Especially for media consumption. I think if someone has to choose an iPad for $250~ new (on sale) or $150~ new (on sale) for this Tab A7, I’d recommend the Tab A7 if someone is going to be using it for mostly media consumption. I think if one wants to play games, take notes, or draw, the iPad would be the better option.
I’m not heavily into the android or iOS eco-system so I feel pretty free to use whatever suits my needs at the time.
If you’re an iPad user or iphone user.. You may miss some things.. Like I really like how iOS does their settings gestures and their notification gestures.. On the A7 they’re all grouped together and I find it very cluttered. I would much more prefer gesturing down on the top left side for notifications and top right side for quick settings like on iOS.
One thing I missed on android is the actual back button, home button, and stack button (on-screen buttons).
The expandable SDcard is GREAT .. always glad to see the inclusion of that rather than the greed of companies forcing you to purchase cloud storage.
Headphone jack is another great inclusion.
THE SPEAKERS are NOT AMAZING.. BUT.. THEY’RE WAYYY BETTER SOUNDING THAN the regular iPad’s and iPad mini 5’s speakers. Don’t get me wrong.. They sound GREAT.. But they’re not AMAZING. Probably some of the best tablet speakers I’ve ever heard/used. Listening to anything on this tablet is a pleasure for sure. I hate the way Apple does their speakers on their tablets.. That’s why I would take the Tab A7 over the ipad for pure media consumption. I actually don’t know if I’ll get the iPad Mini 6 in March~ when it comes out, because I purchased a gooseneck tablet arm for my bed.. And I don’t physically hold my tablets in bed anymore.. So the size of the tablet I use isn’t really an issue anymore. Although, I do have a lot of friends who have iPhones and having the ability to use facetime and imsg with them via the ipad is a nice luxury.
I would highly recommend this to a price conscious consumer who wants a tablet, but doesn’t want to spend more than $200 (this was $150 on sale when purchased). Mostly for someone who wants to use it for netflix, hulu, disney+, twitch, etc. Web browsing is fine, too.. But if you’re really into mobile gaming.. I’d probably save up for a higher end Samsung tablet, or the ipad. Or if you’re wanting to use a tablet for notes, I’d suggest saving up for the s6 lite with pen. Using this Tab A7 reminds me of how bad ipad speakers are. If you’re considering this tablet at 230-250$ then I would highly consider waiting for the ipad to go on sale [regular ipads often go on sale for 230-250]. But at $150, I think this is a great/amazing buy.

I bought this as a Christmas present for my elderly mom. She loves it! She plays games on it everyday and was surprised that after a week she finally had to charge it. Holds a great charge. Great screen quality. And, very easy to set up and use. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a new tablet. Great price also.

A "little" disappointed with this tablet. Its good but it could have been great. I bought this A7 model for my wife and ran into small issues that made her go back to her older Tab A 10.1
First the color is not as good as the other models. You do not get the same "screen mode" options as you see on the Tab A or the S7. It's like the contrast is too high. I have read that it could be because its an LCD screen but compared to the Tab A or the new S7 it pales in color quality.
2nd issue was the calendar. We use the Samsung calendar on all our devices. For some reason you cant get a day or week view. Your stuck with month and year. I don't know why its like this but its they same with display models in stores so it nothing I did. Yes I have run all the updates. Yes I know there are other calendars but you have to pay to get the same perks. Overall it is a good tablet for the price. Processor speed is great. Size is more manageable than an S7. But if you could save up a little more $ I would definitely suggest the S7. We have one of those and absolutely love it.

It's a really good tablet for you money. Can get very bright, it is fast, portable and pretty big. I mainly use it to watch TV shows and school work and it works flawlessly for me. And back to the pricing I got everything I needed for a good price. Highly recommend it if you too also need it for watching shows/movies and school work.

Tablet responds quickly. Size is compat ( a little smaller than an 8 X 11 sheet of paper) and easy to handle. It feels sturdy. I use it to read books, check email, and do general internet searches. For my purposes, the battery lasts 2 or 3 days between charges, i.e. 8 hours of active use. This is the first tablet I have owned and so far I am happy with it.
