It's an Audio Boom, perfect for Media Consumption

It's an audio treat. Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 boasts with power 4 speaker surround stereo sound which acts as audio boom in the house. The picture quality is decent. The performance is not raw fast and may not be gaming treat due to lack of ram (only 3 GB). However, has microSD card slot which can be extended for media storage. The apps can not be downloaded to SD card though. The battery life is also good, tablet is sturdy and durable but better protect it with nice case cover. Please remember, it is a low powered, low priced tab and do not expect same output as the others around $ 350 - $ 500 Price range. I bought this under $200. Overall, if you are casual browser and media consumer and do not need raw powerful horsepower for gaming and not much into productivity, this low priced tab should suit your basic needs.

Why I really like the Samsung Tab A7 (64GB

Good build quality, It has the the latest Android 11 operating system I know it says Android 10 but after it updated it now has the Android 11 and the latest security patch. The (quad speaker) system with Dolby Atmos are great and HAS the latest Bluetooth.
Great battery life, with 3GB of ram and if you can get the 64 gigabytes of memory do that. It takes up to 1 TB of external storage or memory but the bad part here is it will not let you change or transfer your apps to it, maybe audio books, movies...
I like the true color of the 10.4-inche bright display.
The cameras aren't really anything that special but better than most budget tablets. Good build quality and easy to set up.

This is absolutely the best tablet I have ever bought.
I have two of the Samsung tablets A 10" one with S Pen and one without but this new one is my favorite.
The quad speaker system is absolutely fantastic I mean you really don't even need to have a separate Bluetooth speaker system with this tablet not to mention the one terabyte of storage on the MicroSD card is awesome the tablet is very quick response very well the only thing to say really is if you want to tablet that is everything you ever wanted in a tablet including a Massive battery with all day use that seems to never run out.
When it does finally run out it has Quick Charge to power right back to the 100%.
You have to get this one you're not going to go wrong with this tablet I love it and I'm very happy to add it to my Samsung stables:) This is the Stud.
I also have to mention that this tablet works perfectly in conjunction with my Samsung a71 phone which also has one terabyte of storage

I have had the tablet for a couple of weeks and have used it primarily for media consumption (so far). It is a very good media tablet at a good price. I like the picture and sound. I upsized from an 8" tablet (whose form factor I loved) primarily for video consumption. I currently use wired earbuds with the headphone jack while I am on the treadmill. I am hoping the tablet will also function as a laptop lite for my daily tasks (e-mail, calendar, web browsing, e-reader) as well as a couple of productivity apps while traveling. Other reviews indicate it should handle my intended usage with a brief lag while switching apps. At this price, I will not be disappointed if I can only use it for my daily tasks. I just got my case and keyboard. So, I will have to see how laptop substitution works.

Easy to use and battery lasts about 10 hours and software operating updates are easy to apply as needed. Camera provides good outdoor photo quality but indoor photos are sometimes grainy and poor quality. As a casual user who basically uses it for email access and casual web viewing, it's been ok for me. But the 64G storage capacity may not meet your needs.

Nice looking. I am really impressed with its long-life battery. It is fast. I am really enjoying it. It was a snap to transfer my programs and files to it. You just put your old tablet next to your new one and use smart switch and everything transferred. Amazing and very easy. Only con so far is that that manual was not on the tablet although it was supposed to be. I found it on another tablet in the store. However through the Samsung help I got the manual downloaded to my tablet. Samsung help was very helpful and easy to contact. This review is based on just a couple of weeks of ownership.

Almost everything I wanted in a tablet! The screen is crispy clear and it's fast! The battery lasts a decent time and it's easy to use. The only complaint is that it doesn't have a simple cast button and what they do have for casting doesn't work for me.

Mid Range Tablet? not too sure about that.

I bought this tab to replace my old outdated- unable to update any longer- Asus tablet which I used extensively and mostly as a laptop replacement. This samsung A7 64g is said to be "mid range", maybe more like the low end Mid range. Although it seems solid and light right out of the box it has no snappiness to it. Its response times switching between apps and rotating the screen is the same as the old outdated Asus. The screen visually seems bright to me like it's white washed, or after waking the tablet up the screen appears dark and doesn't brighten back up. almost like the auto(adaptive) brightness is all out of wack. Have played with the auto brightness and screen filter with acceptable results but why should i need to continuously change the brightness levels? I will admit that viewing photos and videos the screen looks very nice in full screen. First time charging took forever. Fast charge was not indicated but was turned on in settings, so i looked at the supplied charger... 1.5A. Come on samsung, at least supply a 2.1A charger. The A7 also comes with 4 speakers with dolby atmos which does sound nice while watching videos, streaming music and movies. Headphone output via the headphone jack sounds decent as well. Had a little trouble getting the micro SD slot to open up but finally got it to open up to install a 120gb micro SD card for a ton of extra storage. Being a samsung product this links up with my Note10+ perfectly. I use my phone all day and tablet at night so everything is great there. One complaint is I can't use this tablet as a phone mode. That may be a verizon issue not allowing but not sure at this time. Duo video calling does work from this A7. Cameras ... yes it has two front and rear. Don't expect anything decent from them though and be in a bright room during video calls. Wifi speeds are fast even though it does not support wifi 6 (ax i believe). Battery life is fairly good and very acceptable. No S-pen but a normal screen stylus works well.
A comment on durability... Its a light weight tablet so no it doesn't seem durable. Not sure why I'm being asked about durability when reviewing an item of this nature. Who actually thinks these are durable? It needs a protective case. Now in reference to the two side buttons and the USB-C port sure they seem durable. Guess i'm just a guy that just thinks it's glass- yep that can and will break if you don't treat it right.
So overall I give this 4 stars. Is it a mid range tablet? Not too sure about that. Better than cheap yes. Does it do everything I need it to do yes.
Pros: it's new running latest android 11, screen looks good for the most part, sounds nice, samsung device sync'ing, does everything I need it to do.
Cons: Time delay when switching between apps or screen rotation, screen auto(adaptive) brightness, supplied charger under rated, cameras front and rear, No S-pen

Nice Middle-Range Tablet

While I've certainly touched and played with tablets over the years, I never seriously considered buying one for myself until this year. And so far, for not being a high-end model, I'd have to say the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 64GB has been quite a nice little unit.
Until earlier this year, my main computer was a 2011 MacBook Pro, which mostly I was using as a desktop replacement, but I would also take on the road with me as I needed it. So, finally, I decided to buy a regular desktop computer, and honestly I just haven't touched anything else (other than my smartphone). Well, a friend visited and we both used her tablet a lot, so I decided to take the plunge.
I first bought the 32GB model, and after a week or so I decided to get the 64GB version instead. While there have been ways in the past to forcibly enable the capacity to use your microSD card as part of on-board storage (this is called "adoptable storage") the big issue here is it's not really supported, and doing OS upgrades can mess with this if you try and force the matter. All I want is to just use the thing, not hack it and turn it into an electronic hobby-horse, so that's what really motivated me to get the 64GB version.
I've now had it for several weeks, and I'm surprisingly pleased with it. The battery life is great, and while it would never survive a head-to-head comparison with especially the current generation of higher-end and highest-end iPads, that's not the point. For normal productivity and entertainment needs, this unit is great, and even though I got this for a Black Friday price, at regular price it's still justifiable over, say, an Amazon Kindle, because you have full access to the Google Play Store, and you can not only install the Kindle app, but Barnes and Noble's Nook app, as well as make use of offerings through your local library system (which, in case you weren't aware, *also* offer e-books).
Physically, this is a really sturdy tablet, and will accept microSD cards up to 1TB in size. You can easily connect it to your computer (GNU+Linux, macOS, or Windows) to copy files onto and off of it, and copy over your favorite .OGG/OGA and .MP3 files and use them as alarm/notification/ringtone sounds. You can't do that on an iPad.

I'm very happy with my purchase. I upgraded from an older 7" Tab so no surprises or nothing new to learn about functions. I was very pleased that it offered the quick and easy option of copying the information and apps from my phone. Saved a lot of time doing it by hand.
I love the 10" screen, I'm quite comfortable both reading and watching Netflix on it. Especially nice to download a few episodes to take camping with me! I just need to pick out a nice case for it and I'm all set. BTW, spring for the 64GB, you'll appreciate the extra storage!

Been wanting to get a new tablet since my last one couldn't hold battery anymore, and this one surprised me, I was indecisive about this one or the s6 lite or an ipad, but the s6 lite although it had a stylus and better processor, it didn't have the extra two speakers (4 in total) and the iPad, well it looked ancient, (even if it runs better).
So far I'm happy with my purchase, (i only use it for school, YouTube, Netflix) but i don't do heavy work on it.

Excellent Tablet for general use: Internet surfing, watch movies and email. Very sharp screen and fast.
Best Tablet for ipad alternate, special if use android phone you can
sync apps between phone & tablet.
Recommend get 64G storage min. (or more) because OS will take good portion of it.
As long as you understand this not a high end tablet (laptop replacement) you will not be disappointed.

I have a Tab E and I upgraded to the A7 because it was too slow and OS was getting out dated. I picket the A7 because the price was reasonable and the specs are substantially better than the E along with most reviews on the A7 were very positive. I've been using it almost 2 months and haven't found any problems. It's much more responsive than the Tab E and just a great upgrade but don't throw your Tab E away. I did a factory reset on mine, put music apps on it , and with a good wireless speaker it's great for providing music while I work from home.

I bought this for my 10 year old nephew and he loves it. It is easy for him to use. Great speakers for his video games and no major lag in games. He plays minecraft, roblox and other game apps from Google play store. He has no complaints other than he wishes it was a desktop LOL OH it is thin and slippery without a case so I bought him a rugged kid friendly case. It is worth the buy of the case extends life of tablet. But try amazon for case ;)

This is a great tablet for me because it has everything I was looking for in a tablet. The large screen, speed, ease of handling, camera that takes beautiful pictures and as a bonus you can set it up to be used as a cell phone with an Android phone. I only use mine for pleasure not for business so it may even do more then what I have listed.

The Tab A7 exceeds all of those metrics. The 10.4-inch 1080p screen is vibrant and colorful, the battery easily goes for 10 hours or more of video, and the quad-speaker system sounds tremendous. ... The Tab A7's display is great for watching movies and TV shows, and the four speakers put out surprisingly excellent sound.
But, the Front Camera quality is very bad as the video quality (actually front camera) is very poor during talking in Video Chats.

This item got my dad through his final days. He was bored and needed something with a bigger screen than his phone. So we hooked him up with netflix and some games to keep his mind going. Unfortunately he passed away and passed this down to my son. He doesn't seem to put the darn thing down and it is still ticking 2 years later.
