I purchased this official Samsung folio cover for my new tablet since I thought it would be the best one compared to all the cheaper ones available elsewhere. I am very disappointed in it. It feels a bit cheap and plasticky. The edges are actually slightly sharp and uncomfortable to hold. And worst of all, when the folio is closed and you're holding the tablet, the cover slides all around and feels extremely flimsy. I expected the magnets would hold it more firmly in place when closed. And when it is closed the top cover doesn't even snap into place; it tends to sit back 1/4" or so. Just feels like it either wasn't designed well at all, or is defective. I am returning it. Also, it doesn't say on this page where this is made, but it is indeed made in China. I was hoping that perhaps being OEM Samsung it just might be made in Korea or at least Taiwan. I can get low-quality case for half the price. Overall this case is not worth the premium $50 price. Strangely, a lot of the reviews for this cover are actually for the tablet, which may be skewing the overall average higher.

Heavy duty, Hold tablet in very well. Easy to carry around.

It does the basic job of protecting the screen when I have my tablet in my backpack, but that's about it. The magnets are weak, so only barely hold the tablet in place when using the stand. When reading an ebook while lying down, the stand flops out, sending the edge of the tablet into my face. When I close the cover, it shifts around, and I can hear the magnet that is supposed to put the device in standby come in and out of contact with the one in my tablet. The constant on and off drains the battery a bit faster. If it gets stuck on and I can't see it, what goes into my bag at 84% comes out at 23%. It's not the worst, but it could be a lot better, and is not worthy of being recommended.

I'm very happy with my Samsung A8 tablet. Bought it before Thanksgiving 2022. It was easy to install and set up and has been great fun to use. Sale price was very good too. It's now the end of January 2023 and I'm still happy with the tablet.

This tablet is perfect for me as I love playing games and crossword puzzles on it. Great quality product.
