If needed you can go out of kids mode and you have a regular Tab9. We had a similar case on a kidle tablet and with younger kids this has saved the life of this thing a few times.

This is perfect for what she needs and her skill level with technology. The tablet does everything its supposed to do, no fancy bells or whistles, the foam cover adds a little weight, but its been droppped and sat on and still going. My experience and my situation, this was ideal and mom mom loves it. the price wasnt bad either.
