Even being on sale the price was really good and the tablet works as good or even better than I expected.

I bought this for my in-laws who are in their late 70's. All they would be using it for is to watch YouTube videos, that's it. With that in mind, this is an excellent tablet. Nice big screen (almost 10 inches diagonal), clear and sharp picture quality. The internals are good enough so that steaming videos is seamless with little or no buffering. However, when I used it for a couple of weeks to test it out before giving it to my in-laws, I noticed several aspects that make me ding my star rating for this review down to a 3/5 stars. For while it is a very good, very competent tablet for my in-laws' situation, overall the performance and other issues are not so great. First of all, when I used it to surf the internet and go on several different websites, it was very slow. So slow, in fact, that it was extremely frustrating and annoying. Second, the tablet is pre-loaded with a ton of bloatware that you cannot delete from the tablet. While you can simply eliminate them from the home screen, they still take up memory space and will constantly bug you for updates, even if you do not use them. Third, along the bottom of the tablet (when in portrait position) is the physical home button, which has two non-physical (flush with the screen) buttons on either side--one is a back "return" button and the other is a "recent apps" button. Unfortunately while using the tablet in landscape mode it is very, very easy to accidentally hit any of these three buttons. I would be watching a video, holding the tablet in landscape mode--naturally--and I would inevitably hit one of those darn buttons and instantly be taken out of the video and either to the home screen, back to whatever screen I was on before, or to the recent apps screen. Very, very annoying! Now, I did this several times over, but I was always using the tablet with no cover or case. I did buy a case for it, which somewhat alleviated the problem because then I could hold on to the tablet's case rather than onto the tablet itself and not touch the tablet at all. So in essence, if all you want to do is stream media (and that's it!), this is a good bargain tablet. But if you also want to utilize the internet and web surf, etc. prepare yourself for a lot of lag (I am writing this in 2020 and the tablet's internals are quite old at this point, technology wise0--it was released in 2014). And know that the bloatware will bug you for updates, and if you don't buy a case for it know that you'll constantly be accidentally pressing those darn home/recent apps/back buttons. Actually, even with the case I still sometimes accidentally hit those buttons!

Purchased this because our last tablet was to small and old. This tablet is huge, fast and has a good picture.

I really like my new tablet! Very easy to use especially for some like me who is technologically challenged. Nice size screen very sharp picture, Fun for watching TV . Has good speed . Fairly lightweight. I would recommend this product.

This is really a very decent tablet and even better when on sale at half price. It updated to android 7.1 during setup on its own. The screen is bright and responsive. Battery life is impressive. Battery level was still at 43% after playing games for 8 hours with the wifi turned on. It is only 16GB of onboard storage but it sure seems to hold a lot more games than the cheap bargain tablets do. Sound is just ok but not overly impressive. Gel covers and screen covers are available online just about everywhere too. We bought 2 Galaxy tablets about 4 years ago and one failed in 6 months. Samsung warranty repaired it and it is still working. The second one lasted 13 months and was out of warranty with no offer of help from Samsung. Only time will tell how long this one will last. Hope it keeps going for years to come.

This tablet is replacing a 3 year old Acer tab. Being a loyal android user and having several other Samsung products decided to give this tablet a whirl. Love the size, easy to set up, and plenty quick for my use. Wish battery lasted longer and it is a bit heavier than other tabs.

I am happy with the size of the tablet. I have an SD card in the slot to save my pictures and videos.

Easy to use and add apps as needed. Light weight and very convenient when housed in a carrying case.

I am a teacher, and I bought this to use in my classroom. It has not disappointed. The battery life is strong. I use the tablet about 1-2 hours a day, and only have to charge it about once a week. It runs all of the apps found in the Google Play store, and also runs all Google apps like Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail, etc... So far I haven't had a single problem with this tablet and I highly recommend it.

Replaced an older Samsung tablet and this one works just fine. Small, convenient, and easy to use.

The tablet is priced right and easy to use. I like the Samsung Tablet better than the IPAD for the price and ease.

Bought as a Christmas gift . Received and opened it to charge it up and was VERY surprised of the size and quality of the product! Very easy to navigate, which is great considering it was purchased for my 9 year old grandson!
