You cant go wrong with Samsung!

You cant go wrong with Samsung! I bought this as a replacement tablet for a 4 year old Samsung 10 inch tablet. My old one was not broken, it had no issues, but it was stolen by a creep... so anyway, I always keep several Samsung devices, my cell phone, my data plan tablet from my phone carrier, and now this one for pleasure like games and video watching. I highly recommend this tablet for any application you may need it for. Its very easy to use, and fast! I have never had it run out of battery power before I was able to get home to charge it, and the ease of use and adaptability is great. It doesnt weigh much nor does it feel uncomfortable to hold. The only reason why I didnt give it 5 stars is because I noticed that when I am charging it, the screen gets lite up and I cant seem to use the tablet while charging, now, just to be fair, I am going to give it 5 stars after all, because the charging screen thing is likely my fault and can be adjusted in settings somewhere, but I havent bothered to look

Overall, I really like the tablet but there are a few things that kind of bug me and keep it from getting a 5 star review. First and foremost, I bought this tablet as a replacement for the Nook HD plus, which has become almost unusable over the last year. As a nook replacement, it's excellent. It's quick, has a good screen and expandable memory. It also has a samsung nook app designed to take advantage of the nook software. Unfortunately, that also is an issue because it locks the app to the device memory vs. The memory card, like my other devices. This will be an issue over time as most of my books and magazines are through nook and not kindle. My device memory is over half full in little over a month so I will be making choices on which items to keep on the device and which to move to the cloud. The other issue I have is that the device doesn't have and auto wake/sleep function like my 8 inch tab 4. Not a huge deal but it's annoying when I open or close the magnetic cover. If I forget to hit the power button, the screen remains on after I have closed the case and drains the battery quicker. (Set to turn off after 5 min) That leads me to my other complaint, the battery is ok but not great. I swear my 8 inch tab 4 gets better life that the 9.7 even though it's battery is larger. It's not horrible by any stretch but I expected it to be better rather than about the same. It's hard to beat up a 9.7 tablet at this price point but I wish I had known those things before making my decision. The Tab A was only $50 more at the time of my purchase and I wish that I had given it more thought.

The Samsung - Galaxy Tab E is undoubtedly a remarkable piece of tech. The 9.6 inch screen size is perfect for gaming, reading, and just about any browsing you may do. The ability to expand the memory is a major plus. The quality of the images, the sound, the weight, the battery, the feel of the tablet which sits comfortably in your hands, this tablet is worth the price. Also, with Google's new marshmallow 6.0 OS, the experience is smooth as butter.

    Word processing & web surfing

This thing is everything I needed in a tablet right now. I have a gigantic laptop that I use for photo editing but it got a few dings when I started lugging it back and forth to school so I needed something more portable but still powerful enough to do web research and use Microsoft Word. I had my heart set on an Asus near the same price point but the Samsung Tab E 9.6 had more screen real estate and therefore could facilitate a larger keyboard. It also has a big battery and I'm fine with the low res IPS display if it means that the battery lasts longer and it utilizes less processing power. The color reproduction is okay so looking at photos on FB or 500PX or whatever isn't a completely fruitless endeavor. There is bloatware of course but it was easy enough to quarantine those in one of the app drawers. I've been using it regularly and no hiccups. It's also really light and easy to hold on its own. Not the best of the best of the best, but for facilitating the basic tech NEEDS (not wants) of a student for a very low price point, I give it an A. Ps. Worst rear facing camera I've seen in ten years but who uses a tablet for pictures anyway? That's what we lease $700 phones for.

My family bought this for everyone to play games, watch videos, even edit documents, etc., and it has been a very good purchase. The screen size, memory, speed, and overall performance has made it a very good purchase. I would highly recommend.

Shopped around for a while trying to find the right tablet for my girlfriend for her birthday. She has always been an apple girl so I was a little hesitant about getting her her first android device. It was worth the risk! Best buy had the best price at the time and shipped it quickly and securely.,it's large screen is a big advantage and the expandable storage was my reason for choosing it over an iPad. As a galaxy 5 owner, this tablet is just like a bigger version of my phone. It's easy to navigate and offers everything Apple does. Speed is fast and she uses it for games, Facebook, Instagram , Internet searches, news, weather and so much more. Don't have anything bad to say about it.

My boyfriend and I both got these tablets. We chose these for a couple of different reasons 1. The android operating system, which is great and neither of us of had any problems out of 2. The screen size. It isn't real big or bulky so it can easily be carried around. It isn't real tiny to the point of having trouble reading on it either. It is perfect! The cameras on them seem to be of decent quality. Having the expandable memory (SD slot) allows for storing lots of aps, pics, documents, or whatever you may need. There are a lo tof features on this tablet and I don't think I've even used it to its full potential. The only downfall we have found about this tablet is finding a case that fits exact/true/right. We ordered one online since none of our local Best Buy's carried them and even the ones we ordered that were suppose to be specifically for this tablet didn't fit right.

I'm very pleased with this device. The screen is an excellent size for both reading and (when the keyboard comes up) typing. Processor speed, memory and device storage are all quite high. An excellent value for a very reasonably priced device.

    Great tablet for older generation

Tablet is user friendly and easy to set up out of the box. There are little instructions and you must download the user guide but it is not really needed. There are numerous neat features that I learn on a daily basis as I do not like to rely too heavily on the user guide. Definitely a great gift for the older generation because it tends to walk the user through all steps. The only downside thus far, the back and menu buttons located near the home button are not back lit (at least not on the one I purchased) like previous models. I bought it as a 60th birthday gift for a very dear friend and am considering purchasing one for me. I have an 8 inch Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 but love the just shy of 10 inch screen ... One more down side which I believe applies to the majority of products Samsung has recently produced, there are very few accessories available (i.e., covers, keyboards, etc...) and if desired, one must hunt around online ... Shame on Samsung for making products and then not supplying accessories. Apple will continue to beat them in that market.

Flawless for more than a year & counting

I bought two of these back in March 2016, and have had a great experience for over a year so far. These were birthday gifts for my daughters 5th & 7th birthdays, and they are still working flawlessly more than a year later. These tablet were replacements for a couple of lower budget "no-name" tablets that failed after just a month of usage. I wish I would have just bought these in the first place. They weren't much more expensive and they've been worth every penny. We ended up buying another one for my mother in law this past Christmas. My sister bought one for my niece recently as well, having been impressed by the ones we owned. These tablets are used primarily for light gaming and streaming video. Although the Microsoft suite hasn't been used much, I was plesantly surprised to see it included. 16gb isn't a lot of memory, but we bought some SD cards to expand the available memory. For the purpose and the price, I don't think I'd have paid more for additional memory anyway. It's stood up exceptionally well considering that our tablets are primarily used by elementary aged children. Video quality is great. It's not as great as my iPad Pro, but at the Tab E's price I never expected it to be...yet it is still impressively good. I have used Netflix on it myself without any complaints. The picture is clear. I do not notice any lag time at all. I've used these tablets to surf the web, pay bills, food apps (like pizza delivery for example) and for occasional gaming. Web surfing is fast. Touch screen is very responsive. The volume, power, home and bezel buttons work great. Camera is okay...good enough for the silly pictures and videos my kids make anyway. The tablet is designed beautifully. Feels good to hold, very sturdy. The screens have stood up to hard usage by small children and look as good as they did on day we purchased them. I like the textured backing to it. My only complaint about the Tab E design at all is the one rear facing speaker. Sound quality isn't the greatest as the tablet's only speaker faces away from the user since it's mounted on the back. My kids use bloothtooth headphones or speakers though and the issue is resolved for them. If you're considering this tablet, for the price you can't go wrong. Go for it. It is probably the best tablet in it's price range. They're great for kids and adults alike. We were impressed enough to purchase an additional Galaxy Tab E for my mother in law and recommended it over and over to friends who ask.

This tablet is perfect for online browsing and such. It lacks quality when it comes to streaming video due to a poor hard to hear speaker. It faces the rear and is not powerful enough to overcome ambient sounds. The battery life is better than expected and the processor does a good job. The only other thing that’s not perfect is the location of the dedicated buttons at the bottom. I love the ease of them but I also accidentally hit them on a regular basis.

I decided to buy a new tablet to replace my beat up one. I really like the different elerontics that Samsung offers. This is my first Samsung tablet and so far it's been my favorite I've bought. The battery lasts a long time and the screen is a great size. I haven't had to worry about buying a mirco memory card for it either, as it's got enough room on it for me. I would recommend this tablet to anyone looking for a realible and nice tablet.

Purchased for mobile work during sports events when a laptop was too bulky. Does what I thought it would. I did add a microSD as the basics sucked up most of what came with it. Good battery life, camera and screen size. My wife and kids have IPads, but I prefer android over those, especially price wise.

I was considering between Tab A and Tab E. But a Best Buy associate explained to me the differences in screen size, processor and battery life, so I took his recommendation. Once I set it up, I realized the incredible battery life of Tab E! I'm not a heavy tablet user. Most of my work is still being done on my laptop. With that in mind and I do keep the Tab E on at all time (in sleep mode when unused), it could last the entire week without being charged! The only dissatisfaction I have with it is that some very common App's are not available for installation. Otherwise, it's a very typical, well made and handy tablet.

My first tablet, but have used many tablets/pad's at work. This tablet is easy to use and the battery life is the best I've experienced! Screen is responsive and looks good. Nice size but difficult to find a case. I would prefer at least two front facing speakers for better sound. Tablet functions well and has decent amount of internal storage. All things considered I like the Galaxy Tab E very much and am happy with my purchase.

I own a number of Android tablets and phones and found the Samsung Android devices are consistently some of the better. I bought this tablet due to the price... one of the lowest for a 9"+ Samsung tablet. The interface is pretty good and is decently fast (haven't noticed any lag with games or watching movies, but I haven't pushed it with more intense games). I got an anti-glare screen protector for it, which was not the best idea because it loses the sharpness of the screen in doing so. I didn't realize why it was a lower cost tablet compared to some of the others until I traveled with it. It does have a bit of bulk. It's probably the thickness of almost 2 iPad Airs and definitely noticeably thicker than my Galaxy Tab 4. The case I put on makes it even thicker. If you're looking for a good value 9-10" Android tablet, this fits the bill. If you are looking for something nicer with high resolution, thin and sexy, then you probably want to look at a different tablet.
